OK Irene fair point about the e-mail sorry! I just thought as you had already announced on the general boards that you were standing and have sent messages to neighbours asking for support that you should be honest about why you wrote:
Thank you yet again to all the committee for not telling people yet again till you arrive just when there might be a lot of people arriving there for the school holidays Irene.
Of course we're not changing all the locks - why would we? But I don't think you should blame the committee if someone breaks a lock and it has to be replaced.
I do try to keep people informed and there are some bits of information which I will put together in an e-mail this weekend.

Hi David i first asked was it only my block that had the lock changed?so as people can be aware of it when arriving.also last year i told you if you only give 1 key out people can get bad copies cut this then leads to the forcing the locks loose then they have to be changed again .Also as you say to me in your email you are the v/p and i always know more that you what is going on there, sorry you did not laugh at the top job Irene

Grossly inconvenient to have to get new keys so soon after the locks were fitted to the garage access doors. As Irene said , most of us need to get more than one key cut - may be we should get the culprit who broke the lock to sort out the new keys!

The bottom road is turning into a nightmare again. Just when we had excepted our slightly better road surface, there is now a 100 metre long trench six feet deep and heading to the bottom of our hill. There is quite a lot of water again as they continue to dig and is muddy in places. (bring your wellies). Lets hope that this work somehow speeds up the completion of the road.

It seems that private e-mails between Irene and David are being discussed by David on this forum. I hope this practice can stop as it´s against all rules of the netiquette.
David remember that your posts earlier have been deleted before because of violating the rules of posting on EOS. A complete topic is locked because of your intervention. Please refrain form further violations of the forum rules. Iy´s not only against the rules but also makes it impossible to follow discussions if people quote from unknown - private ' sources.

Hi Andy,
The way people misbehave and ignore basis netiquette is an important issue. If Justin, the forum owner, gets too many complaints he could close our only means of discussion. If we all said things in a polite way, didn´t post private mails and concentrated on the issues instead of the poster this board could relive.

Hi Jenx, accusing is always easy, but show me one post where I violated the rules I propose. No post of mine has ever been deleted by the moderators. What you´re doing is again reacting on the poster and not on the substance of the matter. Not a contribution to better communication on this forum.

Change the subject quick. The roundabout on 'Avenida de Carvjal' is coming along slowly but about half finished, there seems to be thirty workmen one day and none the next. The long trench paralell to the railway line has now reached the bottom of our hill and is passable by car (single file). The weather here has continued to be fantastic, but if it rains there is going to be a mud bath along to the railway station. What else, oh yes 'The Hard Rock Cafe' has just opened in Marbella looks brilliant, worth a visit and next week 'Marks and Spencers' is to open surley worth a visit for some. Lets leave the bickering alone.

Being grumpy (and having a bicker) is good for the person - there is scientific proof for this as extracted from BBC website:
In a bad mood? Don't worry - according to research, it's good for you.
An Australian psychology expert who has been studying emotions has found being grumpy makes us think more clearly.
In contrast to those annoying happy types, miserable people are better at decision-making and less gullible, his experiments showed.
To ensure I live long and happy - here's another. May be Max would like to explain why part of the August EGM thread was removed by Justin - again bold claims contradicted by the evidence?

My post has been replaced without the voters names. It was so far within the policy to publish minutes but I have adjusted it. I have published them several times in this way and believed it to be within the policy.
Jenx, if you want to find a post where I really violated the rules I posted put it up in the´ online spat thread´ as not everybody is interested in your new found joy in bickering.

The online publishing of minutes is quite regular on public forums. It was until today approved on EOS; this has nothing to do with my mentioning of the removed posts because they were plainly insulting.
It does not disqualify me from an attempt to improve the discussions on EOS. Do not attack posters, but address issues, don´t be abusive and always remember that it are you´re neighbours you are talking to so keep polite.
And now please back to community matters and Jenx -> on line spat

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the committee for all their hard work. Although not everyone was happy with their actions it´s still an important contribution to our community if people are willing to put themselves forward. They were elected on november 8th so their term stops today according to the rules which were adopted at the last meeting.(art. 23A)
They were chosen on a campaign program promising more openness and better communication. I´m afraid that this has failed to materialize, but there is no doubt in my mind that they all worked hard and so needs our thanks.
We will be without committee until the AGM so I hope that potential candidates will step forward and make their program known. Maybe former members of the committee would like to be re-elected. Feel free to step forward and put up your program and or mission statement.

Hi David,
To quote you:
Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the blind obedience of fools
I know you didn´t say this on behalf of the committee as you are no longer allowed to do so. But is it really your personal opinion that all those rules we adapted and you and your proxies agreed to are only valid if it suits people?

OK Max I realise you were not at the last AGM so may not be aware of what was agreed. It was agreed that the AGM from now on would be on the 2nd Saturday in February. This was to facilitate foreign owners who wanted to attend and it also means the accounts for the previous year and a budget for the current year can be presented at the AGM.
It was also agreed that the current President and committee would remain in office until that date. This is all perfectly legal and above board. So we still have a functioning committee. It does not affect the rules. I hope this sets your mind at rest and you are able to get some sleep.
