First of all , let me introduce myself.

My name is Carmen and i am working  at  "Oasis Thabernax Country Club".  I have just been registered in the forum to could to inform you about all that you may need.

Mrs Katherine visited the site yesteday to take some pictures and she notify me that many clients havent received the correspondients answers to their email messages.  She told me that  many clients that are members of  the forum asked  her to come here and visit me. Please  accept my apologies for the emails that hadn´t been answered , it is problably  a mistake as many of the email messages  haven´t arrived to my account.

She has posted to inform  those who have changed to OTCC of the progress of the build  in the coming months

Now everyone understands how you feel ...I must say I thought Nigela was ' female' !!........but those who have changed to OTCC will I'm sure welcome her comments

HI,All  new to the forum, has it stopped raining in Spain yet ?  I for one am looking forward too the completion  of thabernax  cc.

Funny that - I did say please and thank you  - when I was brougt up that was good manners - may be not for other people.

Also I thought there was a connection between the owners of OCC and ACC?  Isn't HUMA Indalo 50% owned by HUMA Med?  If so then asking someone who is employed by a subsidiary company who is offereing to help everyone to get me a refund is certainly not rude - maybe naive in thinking that anyone related to HUMA in any respect would do the decent thing.

In first place I have seen your second post and i have to say that Huma Indalo is certainly part of Huma Mediterraneo but not at all as the biggest part of it are companies from Almería.

As you asked me about your money, i redirected your petition  to my Huma Mediterraneo contact and  he told me that with all the process of Tabernas going ahead, the will start to give the money back. So if you want i will keep you informed about all that you need. Also I sent him an email and i am awaiting for him response, so as soon as i got the reply i will reply you with more info.

In response of yor question i can leave some info about how is the process going. The situation is very well and positive as the resumption of Oasis Thabernax CC is going ahead.

Last week the builders visited "Oasis Thabernax CC" with the site manager, the surveyor, marketing team, etc. Also, last Monday, the builders and some workers of “Ceramics Alhabia”, the construction company and the other companies that are involved in the project, came to check the security perimeter and to agree the restarting process. Since then, the workers picked up the fences, put new security advertisings, distributed the bricks inside the houses, etc.

Also the electrician checked last week the electric panels that are necessary for the concrete mixers, and any others works. It is necessary as the previous builders used a power plant.

On the other hand, the workers came again Thursday morning to clean the gardens and to repair the irrigation, but it was raining so they agree to come back Friday.

The electrician was coming today morning to install the electric panel that were brought by the builders on Friday and also will come with the workers to take to the end the work that is necessary before all the operatives and machinists arrive. 

But today again has been raining and they haven’t returned to the site.So when all the machinist and workers were in the site, I will take pictures and i will download them in the forum.

Hi everyone

Thank you Carmen for your posting on Eye on Spain which I of course received via e-mail.  I am sure everyone who is still holding out on the site like myself and hubby are really very pleased with this news.  Thank you Carmen for your continued communication with us and enthusiasm to stay with Huma - we don't blame you for any of the hold ups.

Before anyone puts anything on this posting, maybe about the weather, I can honestly say that unfortunately the weather is quite miserable and wet in Spain - a friend returned last Friday after 4 continuous days of rain - sods law when we all want the sun to shine on Tabernas.  Fingers crossed the weather will soon start to change - at least they haven't got snow!

My husband and I will be visiting the site in March so I will put a posting on our return to keep people informed of the progress.

Many thanks for keeping us all updated on the progress at OCC. You say that Huma will now start to repay money to those who have cancelled. Does this also apply to those from ACC who cancelled too?

Yes Carmen, (I seize the opportunity) as you and your employer know very well. Many ex ACC purchasers are waiting refunds of large amounts of money due to null and void contracts. Huma failed to deliver the contracted purchase !

What comfort can you give them that Huma will start to reimburse people ?

I think I should have been a magician, say the magic word 'CANCEL' and everyone disappears. AMAZING!!!! Wonder what the magic word is to make the men turn up on site is? Probably MONEEEEEEY.

 Well I just keep dipping into this thread expecting to see something about the building work having started - or at least more excuses for it not to start.

Or I even thought there might be a thread called - Oasis thabernax - has building work finished!!

Hi Phil,  Maybe you could do a deal after all with Huma.  They would love to hire a magician who could make all their customers disappear.  The very brave Carmen was clearly wanting to give OCC customers information, which is the one thing always lacking over the years, but clearly no information available to the rest of us awaiting refunds.  Never mind at least the builders are ready to get back on site!!!!!    Oh dear it's almost Easter then closed for August holidays oh and then almost Christmas wonder when a good time will be to start.

Why hasnt HUMA returned monies from those of us that legally withdrew from ACC when HUMA breached the contract ?

We have taken HUMA to court and won, HUMA  still haven`t paid, why?

Why should those of us that have legally withdrawn from ACC finance and be caused a living hell of worry ? 

Why do we have to wait until Thabernax is built to get our money?

Has Almanzora clients money been used to finance Thabernax?

¿Hemos tomado nosotros HUMA al tribunal y ganado, HUMA havençt tranquilo pagado, por qué?

¿Deba ésos de nosotros que hemos retirado legalmente de finanzas de ACC y causados por qué es un infierno vivo de preocupa?

I just cannot understand how this developer EVER expects to sell properties to anyone in the future. Their name and reputation is splattered across the www and it does not make good reading. Here are a few reasons why they will never succeed and good enough reason to avoid them.....................

a/ I've not yet seen a completed construction site they have been involved in.

b/ All their development involvement has led to chaos and unfinished infrastructures.

c/ MCC still in turmoil after even after 9 years or more with ACC in a derelict state and OTC in an unfinished state.

d/ I know a1000 extremely unhappy customers that await legitimate refunds of money due to non delivery of properties

e/ There have been several years of broken promises

F/Planning irregularities.

g/non cooperation with the courts of law.

h/ etc  etc  .....................................

Absolutely disgraceful.

Regretfully I 'm unable to give any further information than has already been given.  However, as I live very close to this development I have a personal interest in the site.  Mainly concerned with it's supply of water as we have experienced each year our water being turned off for a few months at a time.  Luckily we have rites to a well and so it hasn't been a big problem to us.  As yet there is no evidence of where the waste water will be dealt with either. 

I was most interested to hear that cameras have been mentioned also that some one will be manning the site regularly as when I take my walk and see what's going on  there is no evidence of a regular person in the office and only one camera in sight which seems a long distance from the completed houses.

If you should want to gain first hand information and want to stay 10 mins walk  from the development, please feel free to contact me as I have keenly priced apartments to rent and let.

So as you see I'm trying to run a buisness in tourism and  it's in my interest that this project is completed so that it is not just a blot on the landscape!!!
