Manzana 1 now looks positive for being built by mid December 2010 but LFO will probably be in 2011

I am plot 11 Manzana 1 so it now looks positive that I will get a property for my 53K € investment

And OTCC phase 1 is clearly on it's way!

A long journey for those of us who changed to OTCC but now at least there is a future

But also I think all of us .who decided to change to OTCC  ,wish all those who decided to go the court route re ACC  lots of luck and hope it turns as well for you as it now appears it is turning out for us 

The fact is that they would not be building if Indalo did not have the finance to complete the phase they are building to modern standards now required in Spain to get LFO's

Some have said that even at 2005 prices buyers are paying too much for today’s values! but Santander is the mortgage provider  and they would not be involved if the figures did not add up...medium term I suspect in any case will not be a problem

But the € may implode and we may have a Euro/ UK government financial crisis bigger than the banking one in September 2008! who knows ...but now so far so good

None of us who have changed to OTCC condone the actions of Huma Med but it is our fundamental right to take whatever actions we all think appropriate to protect our own money  

All my posts have always been my own personal approach and everyone must take their own legal advice as I have done and so far that advice has proved sensible and I will in due course have a Tarifa [ which is an investment for me now as I have in the meantime bought a 50/50 home near Huercal Overa]

And as at May 2010 I am very happy that I do not have to write off  my 53K € as a loss! 

Also, please note that my well furnished Tarifa with AC  ,front line with great views from the solarium and close to the pool  , will be available for lets Summer 2011, for those buyers who would like to stay at OTCC before their own homes are finished or anyone else

Provisional bookings now being taken!

 Must nearly be built now - 7 weeks to go to mid december!  Any new photos of all the building works - probably just sorting out the communal areas and kitchens now!

Oh Wow, I can't wait! Think I should contact Brian Rowlands and make a booking before he's fully booked for the Summer.  It will have a great deal of interest being a front line property with views from the solarium and especially being close to the pool!!!!!

hi brian     thank you so much for your calming things down and giving us so much hope, when we thought that huma were liars and conmen,  thank goodness experts like you are out there, goving  sound honest advice, all other posters seem to think huma have stole their money?????.

 THINK they are still waiting to finish the tiling.......Or was it the roads? or the water systems?    Or the clubhouse and pools?  Oh.. or was it the houses????

Hi this is my first time on the forum. I have been approached by a solicitor in Spain called Fernando Cambronero Canovas from Alicante. His assistant Eva claims that they can get our deposit back based on the expired bank guarantee from Almanzora. I have been given three references of clients who claim that they have got their money back swiftly. I have contacted two who claim the solicitors did a good job. Has anyone else been contacted by this firm? Has anyone else got their money back through them?

Hi we are also new to this site, we moved from ACC to OTCC two years ago out of desparation to save our money after having used up our life savings of58K  on this venture, we can't afford to take Huma to court, as far as we know we have bank guarantees, does a bank guarantee mean we could get our money back from the bank?,  has anyone in a similar situation have any information on what to do next, do we still have a property at OTCC all be it a plot, we bought Parcela C 05 Manzana-016, if anyone knows anything please help us as we are totally in the dark and Huma has not replied to our emails.

Hi All

Not been on this site for some time since I went to Oasis to check for myself that they were working again...I notice the charming Carmen has done a runner and I am assuming just as I predicted they will milk anyone willing to cough more money and then stop again.

I will go down there again over Christmas to check if they have done anything more than 6 months ago but PLEASE PLEASE do not hand over further money to Huma, Indalo or the latest sham company Thader...they are all of the same stable.

Huma has no money whatsoever but has mad pathetic attempts to con Chinese into investing into remaining plots at MCC, he has cleared some ground, he put on a show for them with ground moving equipement and stuff one Sunday morning a little while ago... they equipement was moved 2 hours after the Chinese left and not been seen since.

Huma is a crooked company, the whole family are engaged in the art of conning people, well I would not like to be in their shoes if they con the Chinese, the mines in Mazarron could have some new occupants if they get their hands on them after being conned.

As far as getting money from Huma you would have to join a long queue, ALL of the property and land that remains at MCC is mortgaged to the banks or is embargoed by private individuals...MCC remains unfinished and will have to be completed by the residents, electricity is still provided by generators for more than 450 houses, the residents pay for the generators and the diesel to run them. The roads are unfinished and the water infrastructure is unfinished and do remember this was his FIRST development started 8 years ago.

Oasis and Almanzora have no chance... why he is still in business is a mystery, he was declared partially insolvent by Murcia court 3 months ago for non payment of social security payments for his ex staff...what is partially insolvent is anyones guess in this crazy legal system.

DO NOT PART WITH ANY MONEY TO ANY HUMA COMPANY INCLUDING BUT NOT EXCLUSIVE TO ANY OF THOSE NAMED ABOVE.

I notice he is very quiet at the moment.

 This mat cheer some of you up - look under Almanzora Country Club forum on eye of spain and you will see there is a criminal case going ahead against HUMA s directors.  Whether this will help anyone get there money back is open to debate.

THE president of Almería football club and three top business executives are facing criminal charges related to the illegal construction of the ill-fated Almanzora Country Club (ACC) residential complex.

Among those facing charges of building 300 properties illegally on rustic land are Alfonso García Gabarrón, the owner and current president of Almería football club; Antonio Subiela Hernández, the administrator of construction firm Huma; Carlos Parras Martínez, a representative of construction giant Ferrovial; and Juan José Parrilla Cánovas, a former minister in Murcia’s regional government and ex-president of the Confederación Hidrográfica del Segura public body.

If found guilty, each of the accused could face up to one year in prison as well as being fined and barred from holding office. The unfinished complex would also be demolished, with the cost being met by the defendants and their companies.

The trial was set for September but was postponed on appeal, although the details emerged only last week. It is understood criminal proceedings started in 2008.

The demise of the huge ACC project, which at one stage envisaged building 1,795 villas ranging from 99,000 to 245,000 euros, aimed mostly at British expat buyers, came when construction work was stopped on the orders of a judge at Vera’s main court in October 2005.

A testament to real estate folly

The ruined ACC development has become an embarrassing testament to the gold rush-like hysteria of the building boom that swept through Almería province barely seven years ago.

As trees, shrubs and even sheep begin to reclaim this eerie monument to real estate folly, the only human presence is in the form of marauding gangs of thieves, who can occasionally be seen raiding the complex at night to steal kitchen fittings, cables and anything else they can lay their hands on.

In a further twist, hundreds of copies of discarded sales contracts, all containing the personal details of expat buyers, have been left scattered in the deserted offices of Parador inside the ACC complex – a disturbing reminder that staff had left in a hurry.

Passport details, including home addresses and phone numbers are contained within each contract, showing that every buyer paid at least a 3,081-euro deposit on signing the deal.
