Request for extraordinary meeting

In every community where we have to make decisions is important meetings. This no.

This is a dictatorship, there are many dictators who are democratically elected and then did what they wanted.

Furthermore, this Board is concerned with the neighbors, not to join them all together. If not now holds an EGM to resolve and clarify issues, everything will be gradually raised and the final will have to pay all.

The board is limited to only write in this forum with different names but the reality is different and I want all the neighbors know what foreigners. Currently the board does not want to meet with the neighbors because they are afraid, because there are issues that have been so negligent and have no excuse, because there are issues that nothing is being done, and fears that do not know and ask them to respond.

If you do not fear anything because it called?

 Carol, I would refrain from suggesting a lack of integrity of members of this committee. I'm convinced the garden in case was properly paid for and that there was no conflict of interests with the maintenance company. Libel or slander are never appropiate and should certainly not be voiced on a public forum! We have in the past been victims of these kind of attacks and know they are impossible to refute. Please don't do this to people who are after all volunteers working for us.

Thank you max for sticking up for the comittee aginst the aggressive neighbour who has not said a good word on this site about any one or anything about our community.  if she doesn't like it,  please let her be free to move to a place that she does like if it exists.

Everyone knows that the benefit obtained, albeit a little suspect it. The point is that when a topic interests you put all this effort, and this Board does not pay attention to important issues, only pays attention to the issues that matter to them (such as the maintenance of their gardens for example).
Should focus on issues important to its neighbors, to listen and not act in a dictatorial. I keep searching and collecting information from the neighbors, something that the Board should do. It's pretty interesting things that I'm beginning to discover and understand certain actions of this Board

It is not my intention to defame.
I just think that there are things that are not doing well, and I want those who are taking these decisions speak to the neighbors.

I have personally gone to City Hall to receive information about cases in this community because I find that the Board does not. I tried to talk with the President and can not locate him.

I know I have a schedule to talk with management, but I am not true, because each they tell diferents answers to each neighbor . I want a reunion in which they explain the same thing to all the neighbors.
And this is not my business, there are many neighbors who are giving me complaints from the Board, there are many neighbors who also want a EGM (and I encourage them to send their request to mail vecinos_donjuan@hotmail.com). And I said to these people who write on this forum, who are not afraid to speak in English.
And of course I will not go here as someone told me in this forum,  so I do not think they are responding. I like my apartment, I like the place, but now there is a bad atmosphere created by the remoteness of the Board, not wanting to listen to the neighbors, and not wanting to join them.

This situation is not normal, I sincerely believe that they have been uploaded to the head, and give no response to the neighbors, as if the Community beyond its power.

In my humble opinion you are over reacting and this overreaciton is responsible for a lot of this bad feeling.

I really regret your opinon about the board.

Not long ago the board came out with the minutes of their actions.

Maybe you must read these minutes again very carefully.

If you have any complaints Gigs will collect them or if they cannot give you answer you can always ask me

This is far better then just complaining and don't get any positive result.

The bad atmosphere I understand will remain if people keep complaining to eachother, when spreading rumours etc.

A better atmosphere begins by ourselves so please keep that in mind.

I fully understand that you have concerns and as a non permanent resident I also understand that you may experience difficulties that others are not aware of.  I assume that alot of your frustrations are borne out of lack of dialogue with the board.

Rene has kindly responded to you and as a result  is available for private messages from the post.  Hopefully you will now be able to voice your concerns directly to the people that matter.  If you do not get a satisfactory  conclusion to your  grievances (assuming that they are reasonable points) then I for one will be  sympathetically interested to hear the outcome.

Give the board members a chance please and if there is still a problem then let us all know.  I await your reasoned and informed report with interest.

About the unrest in the community

I have spoken to Max on several occasions and he had warn me that there is a growing unrest especially with the (semi-) permanent residents. On several occasions afterwards he has made suggestions how to put the lid back on the kettle. For which I am very gratefull.

We really kept that in mind and have been working very fast and late evenings after his concerns to display what the status is of the actions the board has taken. That is what the community deserves and yes we should have posted it earlier. We still learn also every time since we are not professionals but volunteers and fortunately chosen by you.

We are trying our utmost best to please everybody but sometimes not all decisions are so easy to be made and often a minority will not be happy while the majority is happy with the decisions made.

Please have faith in our work and please your suggestions like the one from Max are welcome, but without negative emotions, personal rumours and conflicts but well thought and based on facts

Together we can build a strong community!!

First of all I would say that I have no personal problem with any member of the Board.
I just worry about where I live, this apartment is very expensive and I want to live well without any problem.
This community has very serious problems as you know, a few months ago was flat wheel drive for bad access we have.
I also know that these problems are old and difficult to resolve. The first Board had many problems because it was a new community and had to start everything from scratch, have all my admiration.

But the current Board has been easier but has not improved but has created more problems

What problems do we have?
- Poor access to urbanization
- We have no mail, I had to hire a post

This is my complaint constructive, I see that the Board has no influence on important issues of the Commonwealth, yet it insists that other issues are debatable. And some decisions have to be taken by the residents.
Why They doesn´t  want to meet with neighbors to explain these decisions.
Dear Rene, I do not intend to disparage anyone, just that I find is that the Board overstepped its functions, who lives in a world away and not heard complaints that the neighbors are doing. I do not want to create bad weather, bad weather that exists between the neighbors who live here, and it is very unpleasant because it was a good place to live .Dear René, tell me honestly Why do not want to have a reunion with the neighbors?

 We have 208 owners in phase I of which more than hundred never voiced their opinion on any meeting. In the end our community is as strong as the people who take the trouble to participate in it. It may look like heated arguments (and it are) but I applaud everyone who contributes to the community as a whole.

If you want a meeting go out & get the votes and have one but to repeatedly be posting the same thing here again and again is getting a bit tiresome. From the repeated post by Max & Carol for a request for an EGM and the fact that no EGM has been announced so far can only suggest that the majority do not want one.

Dear Carol,

All problems you state are on going within the board at the moment.

The water problem almost solved, the last time the water was off for few hours it was because of a leak in the irrigation system that needed to be fixed. Gestagua is not allowed by law to cut the water supply, especially not for paying individual users. So if you have a complaint about no water supply you should raise an individual complaint if you know for sure that the community didn't do it because of repair.

The postbox problem we have to find the cheapest solution. But since we have too less income and lot of deptors we decided to work first on the deptors. And in my opinion this should be paid by arrohabitatge

The road is an issue between townhall and railway company and the board had conversations with the townhall about it. The townhall is working on it. We pressed but we need the townhall also for other issues so we still have to be polite. We have to wait for their actions.

The telephone lines will not come because telefonica has not enough people living in that area. So the only alternative is mobile phone. And to my opinion the connection is good everywhere even in the elevator. In the future there will be fixed lines when Higueron is build full with appartments.

About the tasks of the board. I agree that they are not black and white. We are working on statues for the community. A draft was provided by Gordon my neighbour and Irma has it now. That will also make clear what the tasks and obligations for everyone are.

About the EGM, we will plan an EGM but only when the complete board is present. And since we have an international board that will be the first problem. So we will try to find a suitable date for a meeting but that will be also the year meeting. But if a percentage of 25% of the neigbours want one we are forced to have one. But in my opinion its best to do it at the right moment when the board is prepared and ready to move on to the next period

So Carol, I hope you see that things are in progress it just takes time.

If you still want to keep posting the same problems it is up to you but its not going to help us any further.

I hope from now on you come up with good sugestions and help us like Max and Gordon already did for example.

Because only together we can be in charge of all difficulties.

I am not telling you what to do so please don't tell me what to do either. I was just merely saying that carol and yourself keep posting the same old same old with regards to this meeting which seems fruitless and as Rene says doesn't help no one. 

In your earlier posting you claimed to know more then 70 families at DJ therefore getting 52 votes should be a piece of cake for you. So just how many votes do you have at present? As I have said before if you want a meeting and think it will help the community that is fine, get the votes and have one by all means.
