I have just received an e-mail from Calidonia regarding completion of our apartment, Phase I Tilo. They state that they have completed the site works of the phase where our property is situated and the completion of the works have been officially ratified by the Site Architect Director, who has issued the corresponding certificate also called “certificado final de obra” that has been officially validated by the Architects Society through the “visado de colegio oficial de arquitectos”.
They also say that Corvera Golf is currently going through the necessary paperwork for completion and handing over of all properties and that they will contact us to give us an appointment for the execution of the Public Deed of Sale and Purchase at the Spanish Notary.
They just go on to say what paperwork etc. is required for completion.

At last !! it now looks like things will start to move and should get interesting for both investor, lifestyle and developer
I've still not even had confirmation the Phase 3 planning has been obtained, with Guarantee due to expire next month we were told to expect completion of apartment and settle by the end of March 2009.
We were early Phase 3 buyers as we didn't fancy the last options on Phase 2. Any phase 2 settlers out there yet?

Hi Pat/Anita,
I was in Corvera 2 weeks ago and actually went around the site by car. All the pictures you get via Calida certainly come to life as you drive round. The site is enormose and the amount of space and views from all locations are fabulous. Like you Pat we are early Phase 3 buyers and were told , yet again, that the licence to build was applied for and should arrive in a couple of weeks We were told that in January as well!!. Still I remain impressed with the site and am prepared to be patient in the hope that the exchange rate improves and when Phase 3 is finally completed ,most if not all the other amenties will be in place. I cant see the hotel being started until the global economis situatiun improves, so that may not be until 5/6 years done the road.
Any way, all the best and hopefully we may all be neighbours one day.

We're going over next week. We have arranged to actually get into and see our apartment on Ph 2. Hopefully we'll get a few photos of the entire area.

Hi Anita,
It's a Menta, Phase II, on "The Island". We're in Block 43 2nd floor - which is the first block facing, I think, the 15th hole to the front. When you look from the old site sales office straight ahead at the Menta Ph II, it's the far right one (i.e. in front of the road). i believe we're supposed to be ready around Nov/Dec.
Anyway, we can't wait.

We have a Menta on the island . We are the end of the top left block facing West if all that make sence. F2 - 11 - D08 is what they have put on the contact as our address. I'm amazed that they are allowing you in.. We went over a couple of months ago and Pablo mentioned that when we go over next possible Oct. he would be able to take us on site but not into the apartment. So you have done very well. REALLY looking forward to the photos..

Hi Ron,
Our solicitor organised it when he was popping down to meet Carmen Fornies for an update for us. I sent him a mail saying we were going over for a few days and he asked on our behalf.
It is possible that we are being let in because we are a bit nearer completion at our end than your end so it might not be as much of a hard hat area.

Hi Frank, we are purchasing a Tilo on the North Island. We were hoping to visit this month but are now unable. Esther, on-site, said that had we wanted to look around the site we just had to make an appointment and she would have shown us round. Not sure about getting into our apartment but if it is finished I can't see the problem as only waiting for LFO's now.

I've just been told my Laurel 2 bedroom apartment is finished and awaiting habitation licence reponse from Murcia Town hall. Best estimate I am given is now June/July.
Has anyone else had any news regarding Phase I and II dates?

Hi Frank, we also have a Menta on phase 2 south island, Block D39 also as referred to as block 7 - there are 8 blocks of Menta apartments on the south island - blocks 7 and 8 are the blocks at the bottom end of the island when viewed from the sales original office and adjacent to the road and facing East, block 8 nearest ( 6th hole running along the front of them).
We were across 2 weeks ago and Carmen took us for a drive about the site, we stopped in front of the apartment but were not allowed out of the car at that point as the Menta apartments were a hive of activity with builders working on most blocks and cranes lifting materials etc, we were also not allowed to take any photo's when we were on site.She did however take us up the completed Tilo apartments at the top end of the site(north end) and we were allowed inside a duplex apartment to inspect the finishes and take in the stunning view from the upper floor looking down the full site. Roads, parking bays to rear of apartments,footpaths even childrens play areas up that end were virtually complete and looked really good, the grass on the practice area was through ( sown 2 weeks prior) with sprinklers pumping out water and the stuctural steelwork for the driving bays erected.
P.S - everyone when pressed for answers on completion of amenities and hotel Carmen gave the same standard replies we have all heard before, golf course and club house on schedule for dec with phase 2 no date for the hotel but still due to go ahead being the last thing built, but with phase 4 on hold ??? who knows only time will tell - possibly not the investment we all anticipated but looks likely to be a great place to stay.

hi Cathroger, when I enquired about a date for the hotel being built I was told that it would defenitely be built but it was always scheduled after the completion of the final phase and that was on hold at the moment due to the current economic climate the only dates mentioned after that was May/June phase1, Dec/Jan phase2 and approx May 2010 for phase3 so I assumed phase 4 was the final phase.

Hi BC Fifer, I read you post with interest regarding being allowed inside a Duplex Tilo. As that is what we are purchasing I was wondering what your thoughts were of the interior of the apartment. Did it seem a reasonable size inside and what were the terraces like? Any info greatly appreciated.

Probably won't be much help to you as I do not know much about the Tilo's however I will tell you what I can remember.
It was a 2 bed but I think it only had a shower room / wc, can't remember any on suite in the master bedroom. The bedrooms were roughly the same size as the rooms in the show apartment however the internal staircase seemed to take away a bit of the space from the upper lounge area. The terraces were of a reasonable size and as I said before had some terrific veiws of the complex, sorry thats about it as I wasn't really paying that much attention to the design of the apartment.
I'm sure you will enjoy yours and the sun once its handed over - take care
