Hi everyone, just returned from a visit to Corvera and would like to reassure everyone that the building will be underway shortly. For all of you out there who are worried about there investment please dont be. The hold up for this development was due to Southern Spain region of Marbella and the corruption within the local government which has had a knock on effect to the rest of the countries construction industry. The rules and regulations have now been made more strict , and therefore it has taken longer than expected for Calidona to recieve the build liciences for Corvera. These lisences, once granted, have to go into the National Press then building can commence. A formal letter from Calidona to all buyers should then follow.
While out in Corvera never once did we get any negative feedback everything that has been said has all been positive and everyone you talk to is so excited about its potential. A great deal of development is being made in Corvera town as can be seen from the number of construction cranes there.
Another good point is that the golf course will be started in the new year and we were told planned to be finished at the same time as phase 1&2. I did note that someone did mention in an earlier thread that they where going to shorten the golf course , nobody we spoke to knew anything about this.
The area is still as lovely as when we purchased ours back in August 2005 and we feel it is only going to improve.
We made a visit to Roda and had a tour of the site and facilities, the golf course was looking great and is already considered to be only second to the La-Manga club courses that have been going for about 30 years. The course was busy, the new club house is under construction and must be finished by the end of the year and again looks fantastic. We were told that Roda was short of accomodation available to rent for the business the site required for August just gone.
Considering that Corvera is twice as big in total area, will have a championship length golf course, will become the permanent European home of the PGA ,we are very positive about our investment in Corvera.
Our only dissapointment is in Calidona who could of kept up everybodies spirits by informing all owners with the same information that we travelled to Murcia to get first hand.
We have returned from Murcia with as much excitement and confidence as when we first purchased.
We have uploaded a few photos with some comments on them hope you can read these.
