Has anyone actually contacted Carmen by phone or anyone got in actual verbal contact with our Huma friends during the last 3-4 weeks? Has anyone got an actual update on what is the latest situation from Huma?

I sent an email to Carmen in late November and got no reply - but really appreciated my email Xmas greeting from Huma.

To be fair to Rowlands and HUMA (allthough why we would want to be fair to HUMA I don't know) Spain as a country is notorious for being slow and start dates are always late.  Also Rowlands did say somewhere that he didnt expect the start to happen to January.

The news for those that transfered doesn't look good but I would give it to the end of Jan before you start other action.

I agree Jon - it would be good to try and contact HUMA - personaly I don't feel they ever reply to me (except for xmas e-mails) - but then as I am suing them I am not surprised.

We origionaly bought a Tarifa on the Almanzora Country Club in 95 and had switched to Thabernax Country Club after that conjob. After three years of lies and Bullsh*t we decided that it was never going to be built and to gamble on getting a Solicitor to get some or all of the money back. A Spanish soicitor in Manchester put us in touch with her counterpart in Spain. After only a few weeks he has got the bank to refund the money for the one bank guaruntee that Aldea sent us, although we sent two stage payments. He is called Rudolf Langen and his firm is bcplawfirm. We would urge anyone who is getting nowhere to use this firm, they kept us posted by email of every development and have been top notch.

The only bank guaruntee was from Amanzora Country Club issue over three years ago at least. We accepted the switch to move to Thabernax country club. The bank guaruntee was to my mind out of date but obviously that money must of still been protected by the bank as it had not been released to the developer because that development was never completed.

Give this lawyer a chance cause he got money back for us that I thought was long gone. It didn't take any court action but the Lawyer obviously is in a different league compared to a lot of people being used by most of the people in our situation.

If you read through the threads you will realize that most people don't have a huge problem having monies returned if there is a bank guarantee.  It will be interesting to know when your lawyer gets you the remainder which is not covered by a guarantee (if I understand you correctly)  Then you may be able to say he's better than many others at the moment it's far too soon to say he's in a league of his own.  Things are quiet at the moment for many lawyers in Spain due to fewer purchases so I can understand why you are trying to pass on some business but getting money back with a bank guarantee is not such a difficult thing.  Best of luck anyway.

I think we all know the answer to that and it's NEVER just like ACC. The only way forward is to fight like hell, otherwise you and the rest of us will be waiting a bloody long time.. Lin
