Has building re-started at OCC?

Maybe - but I have succesfully won my court case against HUMA (midde of last year) placed embargos on 3 properties which when my solicitor took to court were found out to have mortgages on 2 of them and someone got in first with an embargo on the other. 

Six months ago I was celebrating thinking I would have my money back within a few weeks - but still no money and no closer to getting it.  Maybe you will be lucky but dont count your chickens until the money is in your bank account - we are talking about Spain and not England things are never so straight forward as they seam. 

If you look through all the forums for the last 12 months you will not find anyone who has got their money back without a BG (except 1 person who started hisaction years ago).  Maybe you will be lucky and get your money back in the next few weeks - I hope you do for your sake and the hope it will give to the rest of us but I will not believe it until you say the money is in your bank account.

AS a matter of interest - is it land at MCC you have found with no charges on?

There have been other people who have had their money returned through Court action, that I am sure of as I have spoken to them.

You will understand if I dont go into where the asset is at this stage, it was obviously clear as the title deeds have been changed so it can be sold.

I just cannot understand that remaining in the buying process is an option................... 

Maybe you havespoken to people who have had their money returned but no one has posted on this site to that effect in recent months.  There is a posting from philmel on the ACC eye of spain forum stating that people were getting their money back early on - maybe these are the people you spoke to.

If someone has had their money returned without a BG recently it would be nice if they posted here to give us some hope.

As to your comments as to staying in the buying process - people want their money back if this is not possible - and from postings on this site you appear to be the only one who beleieves he can get his money back without a bg - then most people would like something in return for the money they have paid out - if they dont get anything else then a pen for 65000 eurus seams very over priced.  At the moment that is all I have from HUMA.

Dont get me wrong my prefernce is to get my money back via the courts from HUMA - but at the moment that doesnt appear to be going any where despite me winning my case and having embargos placed in the middle of last year.   The position I am in appears to be the same as most people.  There was a posting from Davies solicitor last year  saying that they had everything agreed and their clients money was safe. I spoke to someone using Davies a bit later and my understanding from them was that in the end the embargo properties had no value.

Of course, of ourse. It ws obvious all along it was going to re-start and HUMA were just have a jolly old laugh with us the little bounders !!

 Rowlands bb beat me to it!!!  I was going to say, of course it is all going fantastically - it says so on his sales site so it MUST be true.  AND it says Huma are getting mortgages for people through Santander, and there are going to be pools and wonderful things.  Not at all like the other Huma sites then!!!!!

Rowlandsbb, I am not accusing you of deliberately lying, but over the past four years you have made some pretty stupid and misleading posts, so you cannot now blame people who don't trust you.

I would have thought that you would want to prove your detractors wrong.

Unless of course, you have no evidence other than HUMA telling you.

 And I would like to know if you, rowlandsbb, as a SELLER of properties on OCC can tell us how many units have actually been sold???   As a SELLER, you should have access to that information.

A very good post and one worthy of answers but Rowlandsbb will not answer them. The post he put on is basically a repeat of what he has said before.

I find it incredible that a person who sells properties at OCC does not visit the site himself to check that building is ACTUALLY going ahead.

What better evidence to give to clients than you have seen building with your own eyes and spoken to staff on site ?

Evidence can only be given, in  a court of law, of what you heard, saw, tasted, smelt or felt. That is what you saw not what someone told you they saw !

He missed a golden opportunity to go on site a get absolute proof of building.

I think his lawyer is trying to hint at something. Whilst a lawyer cannot tell you what to do based on his own personal view, there is a pretty heavy hint in his comment to Rowlandsbb.

I do give Rowlands some stick on this site admitted. I dont mean this in a vindictive spiteful way. The reason why I do is because he posts on this site as a seller of properties at OCC. If he didnt have his advertising plasteres all over his posts and he put his beleifs as a private individual I would not be so "aggressive". However, part of being able to advertise for free on here and defending HUMA is that you have to be able to take criticism of HUMA.I would have more respect for him if he said "Huma have treated customers appallingly I my Company will not under any circumstances endorse or do business with them"

MCC is not all joy and wine. HUMA have treated owners badly there. Look at the posts. Problems with electric being cut off, unfinished etc etc. Not good for those still in OCC.

Bottom line is I made a big mistake being taken in by HUMA and Ultra Villas. Lesson learnt and we know have a holiday home in a different part of the world.

Why did I go to court. Simple I would rather lose 21,000 euro than buy trouble that is going to cost me more money and is in a poor selling location.

I will happily give details of where I have bought in the world for ecellent money, in better location than OCC in a private message.

So, you wont get an answer from Rowlands and OCC and trouble are bedmates that have a long way to go.

I have just come back from a week in Tabernas and spent a lot of time at the site. I met with Carmen who told me that building was to start again that week as a new building company had agreed to come onboard with huma. I asked for the name and contact details of the new builders-she had no details and did not even know there name a new building company I asked about the drains and she took me to see man-hole covers stating that all waste would be cleaned and then deposited in the dry river bed at the edge of the site. I asked where the cleaning plant was and she did not know anything about the cleaning plant but was sure it was there! I asked about the possibility of  mosquitoes being attracted to the site by the waste water, she did not know. She also said that the fences had now been made secure after they had been broken down by sheep and goats.( They must be very strong in that part of the country )The police have been informed of the missing blue planters and hot tub and a security camera would be installed and operate 24/7  we would be given the link so we would able to see for ourselves the builders working. I then asked Carmen to post a message to everyone on this web site just to keep us all up to date. She said that her superiors would not allow her to do so, but she would answer any e-mail she received as soon as she could, but she has been having trouble with the internet connection!

I visited the site every day and saw no sign of any work being done, Carmen said there had been a delay and they were waiting for the new builders surveyor to make sure everything would go to plan!

I met up with some other owners while in Tabernas and they thought we should get together and take up residence in the two show houses on a two week rota system that way we would at least be getting something for our money and you never know might even see some builders!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I didn’t have time to visit the site when I was in Spain last week, I suppose because to me it has re started and I have no concerns

And now Marjy has stated that there are photos of work going on, so this is an independent confirmation

Rowlandsbb - would you like to  comment on kat17d's post?

As you claim to know what is going on, surely you can tell us what proof you have (other than statements from HUMA) that re-building HAS started.
