I dont come on this site much at all now. We have bought in Cyprus.
I am amazed that OTCC is still being tauted around and people still think it will be built and there will be a happy ending.
It wont get built.
We got a court judgement in our favour and seized assets. This is still going through due to the sheer number of property cases!
It will be a long process.
The bad but realistic news is this.
WE HAVE ALL LOST OUR MONEY.
IF YOU GET SOME BACK AT ALL IT IS A BONUS BUT DONT EVER EVER EXPECT IT.
WE HAVE BEEN RIPPED OFF BUT THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO. IT IS A TOTALLY INEFFECTIVE COURT SYSTEM WITH CORRUPTION THROWN IN.
END OF.
PERIOD.
FINISH.
You can slate Rowlandsbb all you like. He will never give up on his Masters and quite frankly he can piss off with his website and bullshit and pragmatic approach.
We lost about 15,000 pounds. Lesson learnt.
Two local lads not even aged 21 lost their lives in Afghanistan,their parents can feel proud but must be totally devastated.
Thats a reality check.

We got a court order and placed embargo on certain assets only to find the assets were worthless (allready mortgaged) is this basically the same with you?

I know its not much consolation but it does mean that having the embargo stops Huma selling it without paying you back first. How are they surviving, not selling anything, they must be paying the mortgages, how do they keep going?

The end of trading for H M or H I must be very close to ceasing! How can they survive, the answer is that they can't and won't.Clinging to the edge of the cliff I think. Inevitable what will happen to them like so many other developers..
The money that was there (our money) siphoned off, long gone, to keep the directors in the life styles they are accustomed too,
They will probably re invent themselves and re emerge as a new org. Let’s see. But every single one of us that have lost money need to keep tabs on this company and track their every move so that future unsuspecting innocent people are not caught in any traps and made aware.

Maybe same display but tiles will have changed - they don't stay in production for that long. I remember picking tiles - then when ACC was so delayed I picked some more!

Philmel, I asked those questions directly to Carmen, and in Spanish - still no reply. Nor confirmation from rowlandsbb who is an agent selling properties and therefore might have the info. My understanding is that they got initial permission to build a couple of hundred properties and that permission to build more would follow. Now, in terms of how many are sold, I think it must be less than a couple of hundred. In fact, I would guess only the people who transferred from ACC have committed themselves.
I have stated on here many times that we walked away from our initial deposit years ago, and bought near Mojacar. We love it etc etc BUT, there is no doubt that property prices are currently 40% below what they were when we bought. There are amazing bargains to be had. This does not in any way make it ok that people are losing large chunks of money to HUMA, but I hope it will help to keep it in perspective. We have also lost in the region of £60,000 if we want to look at it this way. And I know we have a property to use, BUT, we also have the concerns of the unsold properties around - still owned by builders. If the builder goes bust, - no community fees paid, and the knock on effects of that. People will say - things will recover, and I am sure they will. But I have just got back from Spain, and I can tell you, as someone who has owned property in various places around the world and still has properties in the UK - this is NOT a normal cycle which we will all just bounce back from. I would reckon more than 10 years for Spanish property to recover, especially if the experts here are correct that there will be another correction in the UK next year. If it is 10 years here to reach 2007 prices, it will be 20 in Spain!!
So don't beat yourself up - keep fighting to get your money back, and think very hard before you go ahead with anything at the moment.

I have to agree with Bri, i also have lost 54,000 euros to Huma, with what looks like no hope in hell of getting it back. I signed on ACC then transferred to OTCC. Now with Solicitors trying to get my money back, but they will not beat me. I found a great property 30 mins from Mojaca, in a village with Brits and Spanish. It was such a great price we brought it using a Spanish mortgage and loan, and now we own a 3 double bed Villa with a 8 x 4 m pool. If you added what I've lost to what I paid for the Villa, it still works out 20,000 euros cheaper than what I was originally going to pay on ACC. On ACC or OTCC it was going to be a small 2 bed detached in a line of properties on both sides of the road like an estate. What i have now is a 3 bed detached 115 Sq m, on a plot of 650 Sq m, with pool and all the properties are spaced out. Look around, but don't let those !!!**** s beat you, there are some great deals out there, don't let your dream go, remember if it's meant to be. Good luck to all who have lost money, and for Huma, what goes around comes around, and let's hope for your sake you don't meet me walking down the street.

Well done Seashells - you might not have got your money back but it sounds like in the end you got a better deal. Where have you bought and are there any more like yours for sale? If you don't mind me asking how much did your new place cost.

Trying to get info is like getting blood out of a stone - or money out of Huma!!! But remember, rowlandsbb told us that OCC is a done deal SO nothing to worry about. Houses available to let very soon!!!
