Hi

I have been trying to get hold of Carmen as she was due back at work on 9 August.  Has anyone spoken to her recently?  There is a spanish message on the answerphone, not sure what it says - could someone let me know - the number is:  0034 620 251 759.  I have sent several e-mails and Skype voicemail messages but no answers.  Not sure if she is unwell or perhaps there is just another reason why she is not back at work at the moment.

Thank you.

Had an e-mail from Carmen yesterday She said the build is still going ahead. Builders currently not on site. Starting back next week after their holiday?

That is some holiday - they have not been on site since late June!!  Even for Spain, that is a long holiday!!!!  But maybe it will bring rowlandsbb back, telling us how that is normal in Spain (ha ha) and that his apartment is still up for rent.  Now, call me cynical, but this just looks more and more like delaying tactics to keep people off their backs.

Hi

Just want to put the records straight in that you would need a pair of binoculars to see if anyone was on the site as the main road must be 150yds plus from the actual site itself.  The builders have been working inside the properties putting in water pipes, electric cables and internal walls so Carmen informs me, so you wouldn't see anyone working outside.

Having just got back from Mojacer and spoken to a few people and looked at the prices being asked for some properties I am not sure that even if OCC is completed paying the remainder of the amount due would be worth what the property would fetch on the open market.  I saw one property marketed in Allfaix (near Turre and only about 10 minutes from Mojacer village) for 99,000 euros - this was a duplex with numerous terraces and 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - furnished air con con etc (communal swimming pool in a nice community).  Compare that to a 2 bedroom Tarrifa which would still cost you at least  60,000 extra euros plus furniture air con completing the garden etc.  There was an apartment in Palorames (nearer to the sea than ACC) with 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom communal swimming pool going for less than 70,000 euros!

Couldn't agree more Nigela.  Just looking at the pure finances, anyone who did manage to buy recently has 'lost' money, all be it only on paper, and I think that property prices in Spain are now at a stage where anyone who has lost around £50.000 through Huma, might still be better off going for one of the fantastic buys, than to continue to throw money at what is going to be a very isolated, not very rentable community, if it ever develops into a community!!

Well, the insides must be nearly finished, because they have been beavering away since the start of September, haven't they?  Invisible to the eye from outside of course.    And of course, the infrastructure never seems to be a high priority!!  Why would it be???

For those without BG there doesnt appear to be many ways forward.  A number of us are looking at going after the bangs for not giving us a bg but I can't really see away forward by going after HUMA.  Did you lose any money to HUMA?  I see you have bought at Palorames are you happy there?

After ACC getting was not getting planning permission and my contract was up time wise I tried to get my money back from Huma. Managed to get most of it back except my deposit I then bought a ready built apartmenty in Palomares. Really enjoy it now. That was ABOUT 3YEARS AGO.

hi, just got back from mojcar, called in at ACC were we were conned out of 35k it looks dreadfull, hard to belive a developer who choose to buy and finish the site, on the way out to it we passed half finished sites with sea views near towns, loads more going for them.

then drove to Oasis, were we were offered a swap............my god thank goodness we never, middle of nowere, nearest village no english speaking, no beach/sea,  just a few model homes to show punters, why would huma spend millions on a site only a handfull of desperate swoppers from ACC would purchase on??? they are conmen not idiots.

Perhaps because the land was so cheap and they felt they had so many buyers at ACC with nowhere to go that they could make a killing.

We came back from Mojacar a few weeks ago - first time we had been back since 2006 -  and whatever you say it is one of the nicest areas in Spain.  We tried to drive out to ACC but couldn't find it and got lost.  Wouldn't mind directions as I would like to go out and look at it.

I agree with you about there being so many nicer places.  We looked at a coupl of places at Palorames and they were so much better than ACC was - and the facilities like shops are allready there.

we had trouble finding the ACC, the promotor "superiour props" took us when we purchased and said the dirt track to the ACC was for builders only and a brand new road with pavements and lights was being built,  this of course was bollocks.

drive through almanzora village out toward coast you will cross a brige with football pitches on the dry riverbed  take the first left a overgrown track, drive for a mile (carefull not to knacker your car in the rutts and rocks) keep right another mile.

the Huma Conman Club is there,  take a deep breath then walk in to hell.............................

to go on to oasis club head for the dessert its the first mirage on the horizon,  rowlands was there on his camel taking bookings....if you need expert advice on the OCC contact him on   humalapdog-rowlands.com.con.con.con

Hi Jack

I think we all missed the meaning of that sign by the promotor didn't we..' Superior Props' they certainly were..

All those show houses they were certainly superior props!

And as for anyone worrying about its getting nearer to Christmas ...the festivals..the Spanish holidays which might hold up the 'workers' building at OTCC...don't worry as the agent said...

'It's a done deal'...

Mind you, you would have thought that those workers who are on site completing the insides would have cracked on with the outside

and....

worked inside in the colder weather?
