I'm with you Goodstitch, you have always just stated what has happened to you and others as facts without the personal jibes and insults that others have resorted to. I think the comment that referred to people cheated as 'lifes losers' was the last straw for me and I wont even bother with EOS anymore as it seems to have been infected by a bunch of ******** , the arrogance and smugness defiies belief, and some of the comments on the other thread from the smart arse, know it all, been there done that, have a crystal ball and predicted it all ex-pats are shameful.
Good Luck to everyone in your fight for justice.

Having just caught up with both threads I was surprised by the acidity in some of the comments. I have followed other peoples anguish (Goodstitch, Norman, etc) and feel nothing but sympathy. I am in fact going through the same long-winded court proceedings, and know that if/when we win, it will be a hollow victory, as getting recompense is highly unlikely. I, like them, have been wronged, so please don't insinuate we are ignorant and deserved everything we got.
I think new people that "hop on" to these threads should be more considerate in their comments, unless they know the background to others members postings, and sometimes rants (yes they are allowed, they have been cheated).
I have to say David W that I think you misunderstand some peoples views. Because they may disagree with you, that doesn't mean they are talking down to you. Also they are allowed to make a comment without being asked a question, that is what this forum is all about. I was glad to see that you climbed down a little in your last posting, and started to show a little respect. Prior to that I had already made assumptions of what the "W" represented.
Dave

many thanks to all you you supporting those of us wronged, and in turn supporting action that should improve everyone's situation in the Spanish property industry in the long run.?
I can't deny being hurt and offended by some of the comments aimed at those who are trying to let people know just how bad the corruption, lack of justice, lack of regulation etc is for many, but I've come to the conclusion that once facts of first hand experience are put in front of people and then still denied, there's not really much more you can say without resorting to personal insult, which brings us down to the level of those who for whatever reason won't accept the reality of many peoples situation without taking it as personal insult or insult on 'their' opinion or lifestyle.
I feel that despite the petitions, the forums, the cases won against the cheats, the huge amount of evidence of corruption right through the system, there will still be those who are never going to give real support to the victims, or even stand with us in our effort to bring change, and often still to my amazement would rather turn the blame on the victims, or simply imply they must be fools!. Judging by the response to my post on here, those people are thankfully in the minority.

David, with respect, you are the one who made several self righteous comments aimed at victims of the corruption in Spanish property and financial aspects of the devalued pound, (not being wizz-kids in the financial markets and not having a crystal ball!) hence the comments returned to you.

Thank you for you personal message
I think you'll find i've never belittled anyone whose lost money in Spain and can't remember mentioning the exchange rate
Our place is actually 4/5 kms from the Priors and we have visited them on a couple of occasions. We have also been on two marches in Almeria city in support of thoses suffering demolition orders. I did this because it was my way of offering support. I don't feel the need to shout about it, it's something we were able to do. At the moment i have no experience of living on a fixed income so i can't comment, and don't, on the effects the exchange rate would have.
All that said every thread re traces the same ground. Those who have been wronged want to bang there drum and don't seem to accept that many thousands, 10's of thousands of people have bought property and co exsist with the Spainish without problems.
So i will go on supporting injustice in any practicle way able, but will also post my opinions as ans where i choose. As someone says you ain't gotta read them and you certainly don't need to reply
Hoping the weathers kind to you today

I don't remember any denial from those wronged that there are many thousands who are happy with their lot? That has never been the case, and as i've said countless times, that's all any of us wanted, and worked hard for in the first place!
All the denial has come from those who refuse to accept fact, often in the form of first hand experience. All those wronged ask for is recognition of their situation and support, so that together we can hopefully make things better for everyone wronged, which will i'm sure improve the situation for everyone in the long term.

Weather isn't great this week unlike last week, when it was glorious.
I applaud your your support for the Priors, David.

Ads, I meant the last part.
I certainly don't consider myself a 'know -it -all' just a person with common sense who is an ultra pessimist. I always assumed that people looked at life like I did, but unfortunately it didn't take me long to find out that most are interested in their own life without wondering how & where they are being ripped off in ordinary everday life. The corruption in the UK is no less endemic, just far,far better hidden . Yes, recourse to the law is better in the UK ,but then again the UK has a 50 year head start , Spain has not long emerged from a dictatorship. Many people here approached it as they would have in the UK , in my opinion , just as badly. Whilst I have every sympathy with those concerned & having been to court here with Telefonica ( cast iron case, which in the UK would have been sorted out over the phone ! ) & lost , which I was expecting, I'd already made alternative plans to retrieve my money.
Having worked for many Brits. here in Spain, I personally believe & am backed by my business partner in this & many other business owners, that 30% of the ones we have dealt with shouldn't be let out of the UK. No, I am not wealthy, just sensible, nor do I have a pension or an income ( I stopped working before the roof fell in !) nor do I trust or have ever used a "financial advisor",neither do I believe in unearned income, just hard work , lots of it & treat everyone as trying to rip you off.

Well, comments of that type are no loss. Sheer ignorance and vulgarity.. I write as one of the 'smart-arse, know it-all, been there etc.etc.' from the other thread. The poster is presumably a down-trodden, meek, ignorant, been-no-where type. She certainly can't read.
I came on this thread from the other seeking information and enlightenment but tit seems that the same people flinging the same insults have infected it.
This is sad as those of us who can think and discuss without being insulting or expecting to be insulted would genuinely like to know the facts of the situations spoken of here.

poppyseed has supported those of us in the right. With regards to whole corruption/justice situation, I believe her heart and mind are in the right place. I don't think she show's ignorance and vulgarity, but some she's talking about certainly do!!

I have just received your private message, Goodstitch! Here is what you call me:
"I really think you are a foul selfish person, and wan't nothing more to do with you."
I'm sure all the people who know me would disagree - but then you don't know me! Tell me what I have said that is foul or selfish please?

Ooer! I was shocked to stumble upon this! I would just like to say that I have known Jan (in the flesh rather just in the cyber sense) for about 10 years now. In all that time I have not found her to be foul or selfish.

many of your comments reflect that opinion. As I have also said in my PRIVATE e-mail, I want nothing to do with you or your revolting attitude on people wronged. It's crystal clear!
