Galgos del Sol (Murcia) makes saving galgos in Spain a reality!

Galgos del Sol are desperately trying to get their new charity shop up and running but are really struggling & need helpers to sort the stuff out and price it up etc. if you live in Los Alcazares or the Mar Menor area and would like to help them please get in touch.

With so many sick galgos in lately that need numerous trips to the vets and medical care they need help with this more than ever to get it ready and open. Also they are taking donations in and will accept anything from clothes, toys, furniture, books, DVDs, electricals, anything that is of decent quality to re-sell. The shop is in Los Alcazares in the Oasis urbanization near the English butchers and the arches cafe.

Please pop round & offer help or things they can sell to help the Galgos.

At present GDS has approx 76 galgos... not sure we can really be called a small rescue anymore although thats what we class ourselves as. To give you an idea we spend between 600 and 900 euros a month on food depending on how many puppies we have, then we have petrol costs, rent, water, vets bills, medication, maintenance... sometimes people think its just the vets bills that need to be taken care off but really there is so much more.
