Can you spare 7€ to buy us a pipette of Frontline, to protect a dog or a pup against fleas for a month PLEASE?
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Fleas are becoming a real pain in the backside. We need to re-do all the dogs in the refuge including the pups. Can you donate for a pipette please? It costs us 7€ for each pipette even with a discount.
PayPal 7 euros to galgosdelsol@hotmail.com Thanks so much for any help you can give us. It's all these extras that is easy to forget about that costs a lot of money. All the adult dogs have just been fitted with new scalibors at 15 euros each.... you can imagine!

PLEASE consider giving a forever home to an irresistibly handsome 3 yr old galgo called Les
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Les is 3 yrs old & from project Mazarron, which I've blogged about before.
Please watch the video of Project Mazarron
Lee is irresistibly handsome & desperate for his forever home. He has low level leishmania for which he takes tablets daily. He had a tough start in life but, little by little he is realising many humans aren't bad.
Please contact Tina in Murcia, Spain on galgosdelsol@hotmail.com

Update on Toni, the tiny galga just a few weeks old.
Sunday, June 24, 2012
Toni had a big fluid ball come up on her elbow and had to have a operation to remove it and now has to have a drain in it - which is wrapped under the bandage - for a week.
Poor little darling looks very bewildered.

Little galga, Toni, is in hospital today having a minor operation.
Thursday, June 21, 2012
To read about little Toni, who has now been reserved but has to stay with Galgos del Sol till she's old enough to have her rabies vaccination >>>
Poor little Toni has to have an operation today to drain her elbow fluid. She must have knocked it recently and caused this. She will have to have a drain in it for a week or so and she will need to be inside a home, not the Galgos del Sol refuge. Any local foster homes (Murcia) please let Tina on galgosdelsol@hotmail.com know..... GdS seems to have had many unexpected bills recently so IF you can donate that would be so appreciated.
Angel, on the other hand, doesn't care about his sister Toni needing an op and just wants to get up on the sofa.

Washington did the Camposol fiesta sponsored dog walk now he's fit & well after being rescued from a bad situation in Mazarron
Sunday, June 17, 2012
Washington was at Project Mazarron, please watch the video, click on picture below.
GdS and Andreas Animal Rescue have been working together on Washington's recovery as, on taking him, it was discovered his testicles had split open and body was suffering with many lacerations and injuries. Whilst GdS funded his treatment AAR nursed him daily back to health.
Here are photographs of Washington, first two are in Mazarron, being rescued, next is his op, next is him recovering..
Washington was up bright and early with AAR and GdS today - June 17th - to do a sponsored walk but, unfortunately, I didn't hear of the walk till late last night so I couldn't post for sponsors for him, apologies. If you would've liked to have sponsored Washington for the Camposol fiesta sponsored dog walk you can still PayPal any donation, even 50 cents, to galgosdelsol@hotmail.com & please reference it Washington and all proceeds will be split between AAR and GdS.
Thank you! We need all the help we can to help these dogs who are abused.
Photos of Washington & others getting ready for the walk.
Both dogs below need homes. 0034 690 906 565
Washington is now ready for adoption... all enquiries to galgosdelsol@hotmail.com

A beautiful rescued galga, Rita, is very ill. GdS needs urgent donations to pay for her treatment/operation. PLEASE HELP HER!
Thursday, June 7, 2012
Rita is a beautiful galga who was rescued from a gypsy camp recently .
She became ill & was diagnosed with pancreatitis for which she is being treated. A very wonderful couple offered to pay for this treatment & this has taken the worry of funding the treatment off Galgos del Sol, who thank Mr and Mrs Fredrickson so much.
Unfortunately, Rita went downhill & was rushed into hospital in Alicante a few days ago. Now they have found the real problem. A blockage in her intestines has caused her to have anal bleeding and pain. She has, at some point, eaten so much grass that she has burst her own intestine with the quantity of it. The burst intestine was poisoning her and she had to have 70cm removed from her intestine.
PLEASE DONATE AS DETAILED IN THIS LINK & GOD BLESS THOSE WHO CARE TO DO SO!
BELOW: Rita in happier days.
BELOW: Rita in hospital.
THANK YOU! Join us on Facebook.
