Hi JA
Surely that's what we are paying our solicitors to do - sort it! So is it just that things take longer in Spain to be finalised or is it the same world wide. Never had to deal with this kind of legal problem before.
I'll email my lawyer today and see what response I get.
Best Wishes

Hi, While driving up to Jumilla last week, I noticed that the cement factory that was on site has been removed, Doesn`t look good for a company that was going to start building at SADM! Cheers Joanniemac

Hi Joanniemac
I assume that you are now back home. Just to make you feel better - it's been freezing here over the last couple of days!!!
We made enquiries about the cement factory and were told that it had been vandalised so HdT decided to remove it and they will buy ready-made concrete as and when required. That's what the company that is building near us is doing: the cement mixer arrives and they take what they need at the time.
Will send you a PM to ask a few questions about your visit!
Best wishes.
Sue

Hi Suemac,
Have to admire the unbelievable positive spine you put on almost everything.( I wish I and all had your positive outlook on life ) especially the hope you have put in these San Jose scumbags even when they are teetering more and more on the edge of extinction?? ( only my opinion after reading a recent article in last weeks Round Town News - for all )
You defo have your glass 2/3 full.
Good luck to you.
Stu

Hi All
Just received contracts to sign agreeing to return of my money, 65% over 5 years form 2010. Nothing for the first 3 years then 10% in the fourth year and the remainder in fifth year. So I won't see a penny until 2014!!
If I want to apply to the courts for another resolution, it will cost me.
Anyone else heard anything?

Hi Joyjo, Can I ask where did the contracts come from? Was it from your lawyer or from SJ/HdT? Have you taken legal advice on the contracts?
I cancelled my contract and I want my money back, but haven`t received any contract to sign for the return of my cash.
Cheers Joanniemac

Hi Stu
The way I look at it, I have several choices:
I could be very bitter and moan about everything that has happened over the last 5 years, put numerous posts on EOS calling HdT/SJ all the nasty names I can think of, and generally act in a negative way, which wouldn't get me very far, and would probably make me ill.
Or I could become angry, spend a lot of money trying to get all of my deposit back (which, to be honest with you, would probably have been my reaction if I was still working in a well-paid job and could afford to do so, as I am by nature a fighter), take my estate agent/lawyer/bank to court because I didn't have a bank guarantee, put numerous posts on EOS calling anybody who doesn't agree with my approach all the nasty names I can think of.
Or I can be philosophical and accept that I may end up with "nada" but I won't waste my energy worrying about it. I have taken the last option on the basis that I am now 63, living in Spain on my pension and enjoying my life with John here in Jumilla. I count myself lucky as my health is good (up to now, apart from a dodgy knee - possibly as a result of the many years I spent running!), I have three great kids, John and I have made many good friends here (both Spanish and British) and our life in Jumilla is very happy, though not the life we first envisaged. IF we get 65% of our deposit back, I will be delighted and probably give most of my share to my three great kids to enjoy. I have lived abroad both as a child and an adult, I have travelled around the world twice, and I am determined to enjoy however many years I have left to the best of my ability.
If anybody wants to come to Jumilla (whether or not you want a house here!), John and I would be more than happy to show you around. If you want to find out more about living here, why not visit my blog: http://blogs.angloinfo.com/jumilla-journal/.
So yes, I guess I try to put a positive spin on things, but believe me I'm not wearing rose-tinted glasses. I just think it is healthier to be positive rather than negative. Anyway, although I have met some great people through EOS (and if we had discovered this forum earlier we wouldn't have been in the position we are today!) - when I read some of the posts on here, I am grateful that we are living where we are, with our wonderful Spanish neighbours, rather than next door to some of the EOS posters!
Sue

Hi Suemac
Glad to hear you are having a good life in Spain. That was our intention too but it didn't turn out like that however we are happy enough at home and as you say, why be negative about what has happened. We just hope we get our money back eventually and put it to good use.
Best Wishes
