Barry, saw your analysis of the holes which was interesting. Certainly No3 always perplexed me as the supposedly easiest hole on the course.
Do you think the fact that 8 of the 9 hardest holes are on the back nine might have something to do with the society members tiring a bit in the home stretch. I know I've been happy to get to the 18th green after 4.5 hours in the sun!!

I would imagine olagolf will look at changing the stroke indexes but only when they order new cards. As they dont run their own members comps i would suggest you give them the info and see if they are happy to change them when the card renewal date is due.

If I could get anyone to answer my emails I would suggest changing it.
Perhaps the Spanish PGA championship next week would give credible information.
As for tiring on back nine I think I must be tired on front nine!

Barry,
Just been giving some thought to the lack of clubhouse and ways in which owners/golfers can assist in bringing a clubhouse to fruition.
It seems to me that Olagolf are doing little to promote the golf course (e.g. compare to Hacienda and their society offers). There are a number of golf websites out there which allow for golfers to write reviews on golf courses. If we could get golfers who have played Condado to write reviews on websites they use for golf purposes then this would put the course in the public domain a little more. Honest reviews would also highlight the lack of clubhouse as a negative for Condado.
For example, I use Golfshake to record my round stats, monitor handicap and write reviews on courses I play. I have written a review on Condado and rated accordingly (the course only has two reviews to date including mine!). I also sent up to date information on the course to the Golfshake contact (this was still listed as a Polaris World owned with three 18 hole courses, links to PW websites, etc).
Only a thought, but if Condado reviews start to hit the major golf websites in the UK and Europe then this is effectively free marketing. If numbers on the course increase, the clubhouse may be viable.
Example websites:
Golfshake.com
Today'sgolfer.co.uk
Golftoday.co.uk
Worldgolf.com
Golfinspain.com
Golfalot.com
Where the course is included on these websites, the information is out of date. Nearly all still say its a PW course with links to PW websites. If Olagolf has any sense they would be updating all these websites to give true and accurate information and correct links to the Murcia Golf Experience website.

I have arranged a meeting next week with Olagolf management where we will discuss our issues with them.
I will show them your ideas because as you say generally their marketing model is out of date.
If we can get a face to face meeting maybe we can get answers which have not been forthcoming up to now.
Obviously the biggest issue is the lack of a clubhouse which we are continually promised some time in the near future.
Too many false dawns mean we don't believe anything we are told.

It is coming down.......8.1 now but it is costing him a fortune in golf lessons from Adrian at Hacienda del Alamo. But think his winnings have nearly paid for them!
Next 3 weeks we will have a chance as he is back in England!
