Hi Barry,
Is the course still looking poor..? Fairways still brown etc..? Are the lakes still all empty..?
How about the greens, coming over at Easter & after the rubbish weather in the UK we were at least hoping to get some quick & smooth greens.
Got some friends coming this time, and was hoping to show them proudly our course......I fear the worst now after reading your recent reports.
See you next week
Nick

Is this an image from the last few days?
If nothing else the course looks greener than expected but I agree with your comments re the future. This is commercial suicide!!

Looks like the slippery slope to oblivion if this is not addressed. I'm sure Jack Nicklaus would not be happy to have his name associated with this mess.
I always assumed that any rain and irrigation drained down to, and was collected in the lakes at holes 4 and 5, as they are the lowest parts of the course, to be pumped round the course again.
If cost is an issue could reeds or other vegetation be planted to improve the look of those lakes in the short term. You could still have the designated Water Hazard or redesignate the area as OOB.
