Just a note to those golfers going to Desert Springs on Friday - the times have changed. The 1st tee time is now 11.20 so we will leave from Al Kasar car park at 09.15

The course is being hollowtined this week and re-opens this afternoon, obviously in a poor condition. This caused the decision to bring forward the Seve Trophy from it's original fixture date, this was posted on blog a good while ago. There is an away day organised at Desert Springs for Friday so numbers at Condado will be low. I am in UK at moment so not up to date with numbers for away day so not sure if any spaces. You can still get a game at CDA on Friday, Monday and Wednesday and sheets will probably be on Society info board. Hope this helps. Dave

Dave,
Many thanks
Hollow tining normally takes a good 2-3 weeks to recover, but it all depends on if they have been hollow tined or micro tined.
On my UK course they micro tined a few days after the hampshire hog on 21st april , and they are now looking excellent. I guess it all depends on how good the green keepers are and how much water and time they want to put into getting them back to how they should be. i would say no longer than 3 weeks.
With this in mind is anyone planning on going anywhere else next week? or want to try and get a group to play a none hollow tined course?
