hi Phil , It's nice to know you have a contact there in Almoradi. We'll have to buy her a drink when we finely get there. The photos I have are only the same as are on the forum now , I haven't added any except the one of myself waiting in the park There's one of the dragon in the some park but the kids might be put off going there if they thought she was there so I've left it off. If anyone would like to see it let me know

Hello All
Just returned from Murcia. Managed to get away for a couple of hours and drove up to Almoradi to look at Amarion 111.
Everything was closed , there was no evidence of any work going on and no work had been done since we were last there in March last year.
All the other projects in the area are either finished or are approaching completion.
For Palmera to state that only two more months work is required, is, in my opinion, pie in the sky

Hi All
Sorry to be the bearing of more bad news, our friends arrived back from Spain on Sunday. No builders on site, the garages are flooded again so they could not get in the apartments. What they have said is from what they could see the top apartments are finished its the bottom floor that has a lot of work to be done (more than 2 months). We are flying out on the 17th February for a week and will keep you posted. Will upload photos when we have them. As far as a completion date of June I would say we will be lucky to get them finished by the end of the summer and that's if they start building in the next few weeks.

Hi Kerrie sorry your friends didn't manage to get in! When we were there the bottom floor looked finished with front doors on etc. Ours on top floor didn't even have floor tiles on! some on top floor did but ours being the last at the back didn't!!!! All the ones on the bottom had the doors locked so must be nearly ready. We didn't even have a door or anything....aahhhh!
Cheers John and Trish x

Hi, this is my first time on this forum, but I have been watching the conversations with interest. Myself and my wife, Pam and our friends Keith & Sue, are buying a flat in Amarion III, and up to now have just accepted the delays - as the Spanish way.
But what has worried us more recently is the lack of or false information, broken promises and conflicting information from Palmera and Grupo Urbasa. We are not sure either what the significance is of a Director of Palmera becoming a Director of Grupo Urbasa.
So what do you guys yhink of getting together to employ an official spokeperson for us all, who could deal with Grupo Urbasa and Palmera on a more formal basis, and who we know will have OUR interests at heart.
Other benefits could be to add weight when or if we all seek compensation and also to cordinate/manage a 'Professional Snagger'

I RANG URBASA LAST WEEK AND NOW THEY ARE SAYING THEY HAVE 10 MONTHS AFTER THE DUE DATE TO COMPLETE THE BUILDING AND THEY HAVE TOLD ME TO LOOK INTO THE CONTRACT < NOT DONE THIS YET>
IF ANYBODY WANTS TO LOOK AT THERE'S AND LET US KNOW
BUT WHEN I WAS IN ALMORADI THEY SAID 3 MONTHS AFTER DUE DATE
IF THEY DONT START WORK SOON WE WILL NOT GET IN THIS SEASON, I HAVE BEEN TOLD BECAUSE ALL THE WORKERS STOP WORK IN THE HIGH SEASON SO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THERE DONT GET DISTURBED
I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH OF THIS IS TRUE BUT THERE YOU GO
AS FOR COMPENSATION = I SPOKE TO URBASA AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WAS THINKING OF GIVING US A FREE WASHER OR FRIDGE FOR OUR TROUBLES (NOT A FREE KITCHEN OR AIR CON UNIT)
I HAVE TRIED TO RING THEM AGAIN TODAY BUT NO ANSWER I WILL TRY AGAIN MONDAY

Hello All
I would like to say that it is time that we all woke up and realised that Palmera Properties and Urbasa have been leading us up the garden path for years and will continue to do so as long as they feel that they can get away with what they are doing. In my opinion they are the worst companies that I have ever encountered and they deserve to be lined up against a wall and shot. I really cannot foresee the builders starting work again on Amarion 111 until after the summer at the earliest.
I find the thought of having to do any more business with them totally abhorrent.I am not saying that if we had taken joint action a lot earlier things would be different, but at least we would have registered a joint concern to Palmera and to Urbasa, who must be laughing at us for letting them get away with this for so long.
I wish that I never heard of Palmera Properties and I think a mention on Watchdog would be a good start.
Totally p----d off, and frustrated Jamrock.

Watchdog sound good to us, we e.mailed them about our daughters GHD straighteners when they were talking about them on the prog and they rang her the next day!
Also, a good idea to get someone to fight for us Marsotf1 (welcome, by the way ! This forum keeps us all together and we learn so much from it) Any suggestions on who we could get? We all went in to this blindly, thinking Palmera and Urbasa were ok didn't we. If we only knew then what we know now!
We just keep hoping that next month, or next month or next month we will be having a holiday in our apt. We all go in to see them or ring them dont we and they keep us quiet for a while longer. But like you say a spokesperson to speak for us all may carry more weight!

Hi, I don't have anybody in mind. I think first I'd like to see what everybody else thinks, because it would work unless the majority of the British buyers bought into the idea. My thoughts are if 50 or so apartments agreed, the costs would be very small to employ a Spanish based 'British' solicitor/firm to represent us and put pressure on Grupo Urbasa.
I don't think 'Watchdog' or just moaning about it is going to do it for us. We have to be proactive and unified! God I sound like an old Trade Unionist!
Regards, Marsotf1

Hi, well we think thats a good idea so wait and see what everyone else thinks. I think everyone from Amarion lll is just really fed up at the moment and spirits are low. Hopefully you will get more replies soon to get an idea of their thoughts on this.

Hi Everybody
Oh what fun we are having!!!!!
We think it is a good idea to have one big voice, but there only seems to be 10 or so buyers active on this site so how do we contact the others. We don't really want to get landed with large solicitor's bills if we can help it. We did promise ourselves that we would'nt throw any more money at this project until the builders are on site and we can see progress. Saying that though we do agree with the idea of a solicitor acting for a large group. So if we can get enough people involved we are all for it.

Yes, where has everyone gone???? Just fed up with it all I suppose! I roughly counted about 17 trying to remember everyones user names. If everyone could just say if they agree or not, we would know if we could afford to go ahead with the idea. There is no other way we can find out all other buyers of Amarion III, so its just a case of seeing how to get together.
Some people have tried arranging meetings before but its a bit difficult trying to all meet up I suppose. We can only use this forum to keep in touch and put our ideas forward. Lets just hope we get enough of us to go ahead.
Right enough talking, we are off to pub now to forget all our troubles!
Speak soon

IF WE ARE GOING TO GO DOWN THIS ROAD
I THINK ONE OF YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE PEOPLE YOU BOUGHT THE APARTMENT FROM AND ASK THEM IF THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE CONTACT DETAILS FOR THE REST OF THE BUYERS OF AMARION 111- THE FIRM I BOUGHT MINE FROM ONLY SOLD TO 4 PEOPLE AT OUR DEVELOPMENT
I THINK Palmera AS SOLD MOST OF THEM ( DONT KNOW IF YOU WILL GET THE INFO THO )
WE COULD DO WITH THE BUILDERS PHONE NUMBER I WILL ASK THEM FOR IT ON MONDAY, THEY MAY TELL US THE TRUTH WHEN THEY ARE STARTING WORK AGAIN

Hi Phil , oh why dont you think we will get any info from Palmera???? must be track records eh? Thanks for all you try to do, dont know if you will get anywhere finding builders number, but good luck.
All we can do is stick together, or go it alone! One day, some day, we will all be in Amarion III, passing the time of day or just a nod from one side of the pool to the other. ( mind you looking at the pool we could just whisper good morning to each other, from one side to the other)
Heres to happy times and new friends in Amarion III
Trish xx

Hi all..it's not for the lack of trying is it? so many are bashing away at both Palmera and Urbasa, but what can you really believe as so many differing replies are given and sometimes no response at all. We've sent two e-mails in the past 10 days to Palmera, addressed to both Alicante and Benalmadena offices in the hope at least one would respond with some further information on completion dates etc, but no replies as yet. We reserved via an Essex agency called Spanish Property Guide and within a year of our reservation (which was in October 2002) they had closed down and we were contacted from their Blackpool Office, then later received a letter stating not to deal with Blackpool anymore as Manchester were the UK link now, that was way back. The letter we received about the alleged June 2007 completion was posted in Manchester and came from Palmera in Benalmadena. We made contact with the agents in Manchester about a year ago and they said they were only the forwarding people for this correspondence but could answer nothing as they didn't know what was happening in Spain. We feel like we're cast adrift without a paddle, have sent recorded delivery letters off to the Palmera two offices in Spain to Customer Services and will post details of any replies on here i.e. IF WE GET ANY REPLIES.

Hi all.
Firstly, i'm all for it. getting an independant body involved, that is. And secondly, i don't think we would get any info regarding the other buyers, supposedly due to privacy and security. And let's face it, Palmera aren't that stupid, they would know what we were up to, they'd smell a rat for sure. I'm feeling a little bit helpless at the mo, and getting very very frustrated. not saying much, but always watching these threads, so count me in guy's.
Regards
Dave
