Hi all dont know if you kow but a petition is being formulated by I think the Guardian newspapers on behalf of the people who have been robbed of their deposits on off plan developments in Spain, its also on the main forum with more details but as we all on here have a case thought I would put it on here as well, dont know if it will do any good but worth a shot.
The main thread details in the General Spain forum (Chit Chat) title 2009 commitment Topic started by Ruth
hover over the comment boxes on the petition looks like we are far from being alone

Hi all
I've not posted on here for sometime, sorry for that , I have taken the two companies to the Spanish court in Elche.
That was two years ago and the case has still not been heard.
I think the soliciters in Spain like to put us in promised land and don't care a jot about we Brits just like to rip us off
We have bought a place in Algorfa now and have moved out permantly and it is nice to live here.
I pass the amarion building most days it just go from bad to very bad .The shutters and doors are being damaged .
Any of you come out give us a shout we'll have a drink in the square.
I don't think I'll see my money off the Spanish for some time. All the spanish are not like the soliciters they are mostly very friendly

Hi all
I know we are all fully aware of the rip offs that have been going on - but did anybody see that programme a few nights ago about Spain and all the promises that never happened....Absolutley appalling...........something will have to change at some point.................the only comfort I think we have that givin our contracts are LEGAL........we still own a building.......something to hang onto in the hope that one day Spainish authorities WILL have to clean up this mess..................

hi folks - we have now bought an apartment in another block now, but we have heard that the builder hadn't paid for the land and so the land owner has been awarded his land back and the building - but that he doesn't want the building on it!
also, last year when Palmera contacted us to take another apartment they told us to forget all about the amarion - but by this time we had already bought another one and just wanted our money back

Hi all just got back from Spain visited the site for old times sake, the building has grafiti all over the walls and vandalised in many places, believe it or not at the rear of the building they have planted palm trees and exotic plants including a walkway thro them must have cost a few bob to say the least, the building opposite the main enterance looks to be heading the same way as ours with it being boarded up in places and no more work being undertaken. All over Spain we see similar developments with nothing happening it really is a blight on the Spanish and EC authorities have allowed this situation to occur without anyone being given any hope of recompence or even explanation.
