Hi all
nothing much to report the guys doing exterior work are still there and as said prior the crane seems to have been re commisioned, most of the roads around the development are nearly complete but internal work is still at a stop. Our builders are not held in high respect around here Im staying in Amarion 1 and this was 1 year late with the appartments being in a filthy stae on handover ,however I must say the internal spec of doors fitting tiles etc is good. Another piece of news is one of the owners near me was going to sell up as the outlook from Amarion 1 is not the best as it faces onto social housing however this is to be demolished with a police and fire station being built, he was taked out of selling by the Bank Manager who showed him plans for a Golf Course at the rear of ours and Amarion 1 and expects the values to soar. the apparments in Am1 are today fetching 125,000 euros today for a 3 bed.
The weather here is fantastic beer food eating out is really cheap a 6 course chinese cost me about a fiver last night with all drinks, a easy short drive to the very clean beach takes 10 mins.
We are home next week but going to see Laura at the builders next Tues so will update then

Hi, thanks for the photos - Although like someone's said, it looks no different to how it looked earlier on in the year.
If this development is completed by the end of this year, I will head my head!! Tee hee.

Doh! I was meant to say EAT my head. That will teach me the next time I try to be funny.
We are very excited at the prospect of a golf course being built near by - are there any other golfers out there?

Hi All,
anyone whant to buy a 3 bed, corner appt facing the mountains. I am just so fed up with all of this. I think I was one of the first to buy, 2002 and 4 years latter still waiting. What about the kitchens and wardrobes? has anyone found a solution to that one? Last time I saw the property was April. Got inside and must say it was very nice and of good quality but its just been going on so long.

Hey,
I'm on a corner as well - penthouse No. 8. I can't remember what it faces out to though, it was such a long time ago. I'm probably looking out to a brick wall for the neighbouring apartment block!
Last we heard, you've got to fit your own kitchen and apparently Palmera are now paying for fitted wardrobes in the master bedroom but that is it.
So many things have changed on the plans it's stupid! Also, as i'ts gone on for so long, we do not have the funds that we had 2 1/2 years ago so we've now got to get finance in order to pay for the completion - it's all a nightmare!

Hello Redfonz, We felt very much the same as you a little while ago,but it would be a real shame to give up now considering the hard work everyone has put into this. Also if you consider the amount of money you have spent on agents fees, air fares, even phone calls,I.V.A on the deposit, all this is money that will never be seen again. What with all the lies from various people and tales of woe from the poor builder, I would like to try and see it through. Although in our contract it doe say we will be getting a kitchen, even this remains to be seen. You have to wonder what they are going to hit you with next, I am sure the apartments are going to be finished soon and then the builder will expect us to be on his doorstep to sign immediately, Quote in the contract [ Tardiness will not be tolerated].

Hi All
We haven't got a fitted kitchen with our apartment although at the time we thought it was included, we have paid urbasa direct to fit the kitchen so hopefully it will be in place when we get over there.
We have penthouse 6 which is facing the mountains as well - how do you know about the wardrobes we haven't had any confirmation around this - did you contact them direct.
Does anyone know if they have any garages left for sale? if so do you know how much they are asking for them.

Hi Kerri,
you can buy my garage space. As far as the wardrobes are concerned, I was told in April that they were not going to be fitted, but there would be some sort of arrangement made. They would get back to me within the week. Well as far as I can see if you are not on their door step then you don’t exist. The kitchen was to be bought direct from the builder, but when I tried to pay I was told be Alicante office not to.

Thanks for the pics RedFonz, it's always good to see new ones - we don't have a fitted kitchen either with ours but, like everyone else, bought on the assumption we would have - oh now not to assume!! We haven't bought the garage but would also be interested to see how much they were. I called Urbasa last week to find out the cost of fitting a kitchen and air con - as yet they haven't got back to me so guess I'll have to ask them again - has anyone else been quoted for this? We have Penthouse 22.

Hi All
Just got back to sunny England - not! - called in at the builders on Tuesday 10th Oct, Laura bless her again said all was now sorted with the builders and they are starting again this month, and pigs may fly over Almaradi also.Things do seem to be slowly moving as work is ongoing to the pathways and roads around the dedevelopment and some glass panels have been delivered these must be for the internal side of the building. talking to many other people over there who have purchased from Urbasa say its par for the course whats happening to us with on average developments from them being about 12 months late. Anyway lots of pictures downloaded most are from floor 1 most of the apartments are the same size on this floor give or take a foot or so apart from the corner ones which are massive in comparison,I have also tahen a pixcture of the pillar down some of the corridiors leading to the living rooms showing a pillar that some on here are concerned about getting things past although in my opinion shouldnt prove a real problem.
Any Qs on the pictures please PM me
