hi all,
We also had call from palmera at 5.40. did not give name,would not say why they wanted e mail address,but asked if we bought in amarion iii. stuart told them they should have it on file,asked why we had no answer to e,mails, or letters for last 2yrs, could not give an answer, so stuart told them to send whatever throuh post.
Wonder whats made them suddenly get in touch.
Wonder if its anything to do with people starting court actions.

Probably going to try and sell us an Apartment !
The guy I spoke to was called Fanti and the number he gave was 952 462220, he said we should have the e mail by the end of the week, we'll see.

Hi all, I spoke to finta or whatever his name is on wednesday and I asked him about amarion iii and he was very evasive and said his job was to find the e-mail addresses of every one and he did not know anything but his boss would e-mail us by the end of the week, we will see!

Hi All
Spoke to Finta as mentioned on this forum, he said he was gathering e-mails to send us all information re the development and about the deal?
Dont know what that means just keeping my fingers crossed its a way out, but not too optimistic as we have had our hopes built up before to no avail, at least it looks like someone is still there and possibly working on our behalf.

Same here, we had a call requesting e-mail. We'll see..but we doubt it will be about completion of Amarion III which we understand has been looted and still stands like a white elephant with nothing going on. Fingers crossed for some solution though.

I have been reading your posts with interest. I personnally have not received a phone call yet, so I was wondering if anyone has the e-mail address of Finta?
I know of people who have been offered alternative apartments in Almoradi by Palmera Properties instead of Amarion 111
The apartments in question are Miraflores.

Cant find any Miraflores apartment on the Pamera site only Mirador de Las Palmeras Apartments in Almoradi.
Is it my cynical mind or are we all about to be offered one of these at say 15000 Euros or so discount (which they would probably give to anyone )to make up some of our losses as a way of compensation from Palmera.
If so before anyone does this I would check out the current market prices in Almoradi you can purchase 2 bed apartments outright now and furnished for around 80000 Euros, and the way the housing market is tanking in Spain as in most EU countries if this trend continues the whole sorry saga could have saved us money if we had been made to complete our original purchase in contract.

I HAVE HAD PROTRACTED DISCUSSIONS WITH THE DIRECTOR AT PALMERA WHO HAS DECIDED OUT OF THE BLUE TO OFFER US AN ALTERNATIVE. WE HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT SOMEWHERE ELSE BUT HE TOLD ME TO FORGET URBASA & AMARION 3 & THERE IS NO WAY THERE WILL BE ANY MONEY FROM THERE AS I HAVE ASKED FOR OUR DEPOSIT BACK
HE SAYS THEY ARE TRYING TO GET A SOLUTION FOR EVERYONE BUT AFTER 2 YEARS OF NO CONTACT I TOLD HIM THIS WAS A BIT TOO LATE AND THAT THEY HAD A RESPONSIBILTY TO REFUND OUR DEPOSIT
WE ARE UP IN THE AIR AT THE MOMENT AS HE SAYS THERE WILL BE NO REFUND!
BUT - WHY ARE THEY NOW TRYING TO OFF LOAD US WITH APARTMENTS - HAS SOMEONE TRIED TO MAKE THEM BANKRUPT - SOMETHING IS GOING ON IN OUR OPINION FOR THEM TO START MOVING NOW

We agree..watch out! There was a program on TV about Spanish property sales a couple of weeks back, they can't sell the completed sites for love nor money as the market is bad all over Europe. Apparently lots of developers are going bust, loads of purchasers are in deadlock same as all of us, so the properties they are trying to sell on are likely overpriced, let's face it would anyone do anything unless there's profit in it for themselves. It seems Amarion 3 will never happen, there's simply loads of legal cases going on across the Costas.

Following on from wotnocasa had to say. We think Palmera are going to offer an alternative hoping to offload property they cant at the present time sell, unfortunately for most of us it is way too late, and only a deposit refund would be acceptable. If no deposit is going to be given then we will tell Palmera that we know lots of people who are looking to buy in Spain and not to touch their company with a bargepole as they take the deposit and do not fulfil their side of the bargain. I hope they do go bust it will serve them right for building up hopes and dreams and not apartments as promised.

We think palmera may be getting bit concerned with court actions being taken.
When we last had email from them nearly 2yrs go, their attitude was it was nothing to do with them as their contract finished oct 06. they only acted as selling agent, all dealings should be done with urbassa. we pointed out that as agent they should be dealing with urbassa, and helping us with situation,as they were quick to take money, and said they see you through to handing over keys,etc.their answer was they no longer deal with urbassa.
Some of us have got solicitors on case and hope to go to court soon.
With all the properties that are not sold or finished in spain they are probably getting worried.
If they were to offer another property dont think i would trust them.When they phoned last week they would not answer any questions.As stuart told them to now get in touch after 2yrs silence, is 2yrs too late.
Would like to know what they offering, and how much they think they can screw us for again. Pity dream did not come true, fed up with all rain. hope none of you flooded .

We remember reading a message on this website not so long ago from Danny saying Palmera had offered him alternative properties at much higher prices than he had reserved at..think about it though..even with the property market in trouble all over Europe and all of the court cases etc, regardless of all that it doesn't seem likely that the price we paid in 2002 is likely to be available anywhere six years on. Trust, yes that's another point, can we really trust them after all that's happened. I guess they won't pay us back as they insist that Urbasa were given the deposits and there's no news on them is there. Just a refund of our hard-earned money is all we want, even the lawyers seem to be working in slow time too. OK so they asked for e-mail addresses, silly question 'where is the e-mail' ??? what a mess this all is, wouldn't it have been so much nicer had we all met each other at each other's house-warming at Amarion III with a glass of something cool in our hands, ah well dreaming over. We've decided to have a week away just to get a break from it all, we go on Friday 12th and will look in here when we get back.

Hi All,
Just had an interesting phone call from Spain. Was told that Amarion III has be repossessed and is ALMOST in the hands of an independent owner.
Palmera have said that this owner MAY offer us our apartments at maybe €10,000 extra cost.
The other opportunity is to buy AGAIN from Palmera in Formentera del Segura. Anyone who knows the area its on the CV-914 going to Rojales from Almoradi. This guy from Palmera said that he could offer me a 3 bed at an extra cost of approx €3000.
This was a built development with pools and inspection flights can be arranged at a discount. Said that if I was interested that no deposit was necessary, but I would have to take the existing mortgage.
Cant find any properties in that town on Palmera web site, but he would send me the details tonight. He also said that we would all get a letter to inform us of the current situation.

Hi, Have just returned from Spain after meeting with Gotardo (managing Director of Palmera) after a phone call from out of the blue 2 weeks ago. Literally what he has said is that the reason nobody has heard anything from Palmera is because their customer services where so awful. He said the other partner has recently died and he has stepped in and sacked all the staff because they are rubbish! He says he is now trying to rectify all the problems caused by this poor customer service. We spent an afternoon with him and his assistant Pablo and they both came across as genuine and honest. He said that he had just heard (tuesday) that Urbasa had voluntarily declared bankruptcy.
We went to Formentera del Segura and were shown other properties which were more expensive than Amarion but only marginly and we were told they were being offered to us at a discount. The developments shown were completed and ready to move into.
This is all we know at present. I would definitely recommend you get in touch with Gotardo (he speaks perfect English) as he seems very genuine and keen to sort out the problems caused by Palmera. I questioned if he thought that Palmera could recover their reputation as they are now known as a company with dire customer services and he said he doesnt know but he hopes he can. I know we are all fed up with Palmera and their lies or at least lack of communication but I definately think it is worth talking to him because at the end of the day we all wanted a place in Spain and this is again an option. Hi Redfonz my apartment is in formentera del segura and we love it
i dont know if its for everyone it is a very quiet town but the good news is quadamar beach is only 10 mins away in a car and so is almoradi for the saturday market
san miguel isnt far away either 10 - 15 mins good market there as well
there is a new development just up the road in biniofar i think its there anyways , its suppose to be having pictures , bars and shops that should be good
iknow this place like the back of my hand but dont know which apartments you have been offered or how much they have offered them to you for

Thanks Danny for your info, Palmera not rushing with info they said we would get by last weekend,
What a surprise [think not] we may be able to have what we paid for, or different one providing we give them more of our hard earned cash.
Did palmera say what happened to our money?
Dont think we would trust them again,
If news is correct spain in same position as england, loads of properties, no buyers.
We would rather look around, see what deals are out there,than trust palmera.
