I do know it is going to take a long time the courts and solicitors take ages but thats spain for you
I started mine about 6 months ago and it seems i am getting there slowly
The solicitors need a lot of paperwork from you all before they start anything
my solicitor even wanted in writing from urbasa how much they had received of my money before he would take it any further
luckily i got this with a email from urbasa
also contracts and any other paperwork you have
any how best of luck to you all

I am contacting the lawyer in Alicante as soon as I send this note out and will let you know their details and all the paperwork/documentation required by them. I have posted this before by will double check again with them.
Yes, I know it is a long process, but we need to start somewhere. Sitting around will not give us our money back.
Thanks to all!
Cheers,
SCM

As it's looking less likely this buiding is never going to be finished, I would now also like to join the group. I know we have all tried to meet up before but if we can sort something out (central to everybody) then that would be great.
I am concerned that I am throwing good money after bad as financially we are not in a position to lose any more. If you can get an idea of how much it's going to cost to get things going, that would be great. If their fee is 10% of the monies we win back then I'd imagine that this will be 10% of everybody's combined win (if that makes sense).
Also, has anyone had any luck getting their agency fees back from Palmera, because lets face it they've done bugger all to earn the £2,534 euros they took from me. We also paid a surcharge of 3,485 euros for the privaledge of having a roof terrace as our apartment is on the top floor - did anyone else pay this as well?

hi snow queen
i think it would be a really good idea to meet if we are all going for this...
Your quite right in pointing out that Palmera done nothing to earn the agency fees...i think we
need to tackle this with them at some point. I cannot comment on the roof terrace as our was on 2nd floor.

I Personally dont think you will get anything from palmera if they have done there job right
in that i mean they have paid urbasa the full amount of money and got there commision
if they have not paid urbasa you may have a chance
the reason i say this is = its there job to get customers for the builders and that is what they have done, i dont think they would have known this was going to happen
i didnt go through palmera myself and a few others didnt and they have not got any money back from there agents
SORRY FOR THE BAD NEWS

Hi All again, an update below:
Law firm details:
Costa & Asociados
Jose Costa
Calle Luis Vives, 6
Tercer piso, puerta 8
Valencia 40003
Spain
Tel: 0034 96 392 1315
I could not speak to the solicor today as he was out in court most of day but he has already details of our situation .I will be talking to him on Monday to let him know how many of us are and to confirm cost related to their services and what deposit is required for them to start the case. Once you know an estimate of the cost, and if you are comfortable with it you will need to let them know.
ORIGINAL contracts and ORIGINAL payments certificates (do not forget to keep copies for yourselves) will have to be post to them. At this stage no other documentation is required to send them. At the second stage we will need to arrage a Power of Attorney (Poder Notarial) this is to give power to the Apoderado to represent us in court.
I believe our case is against Urbasa regardless of who we bought the apts from.
Meeting up would be helpful but considering we are all around the country, it may be a bit difficult.
Eventually it would be helpful to contact each of us by phone or email address. I guess we could use the PM system to share our detailsto.
Is it possible to send a PM to more than one person?
Comments, ideas, solutions...welcome!
Bye for now.

Hi smc
the best way for all of you to contact each other is through skype its free as well
go to www.skype.com and download it make a name for yourself maybe it would be better to keep your eos name
then post your skype name on eos thats it your done
when you have done this it says add contact click on this and add all your mates and start talking when people are on line
you can send and receive files
and i am pretty sure they do conferencing
i think this is the best way for all of you to keep in touch with each other
and also ask your solicitor if he would go on skype with you all living so far away
that would be very helpfull if he would

Hi, we've been pondering what to do for a while now, and have decided to go with the same lawyer as you Phil, we made contact with him a while back and as you say you feel you are getting there slowly at least that sounds slightly hopeful. Although we realise you didn't pay a deposit via Palmera Properties, as you know we did, and at the long-time closed Westcliff office. We've not heard a thing for ages, in fact since we forwarded all the documents for the audit. We did also pay extra for a roof terrace as we reserved a penthouse, well perhaps better to say thin air somewhere above what's already been built. We're getting nowhere how things are now.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL IN THE NEW GROUP, HOPE YOU GET SOME SUCCESS. We will let you know how we get on.
