OFFICIAL NEWS
Don’t know if we all are to receive this but I had a right go at Palmera recently and a copy of a letter en sent from Urbasa stating that the Good News is that the builders are going back on the first 15 days of Jan and the handover is the first 15 days in June, I understand that this means that the complex will be fully staffed in Jan as small preparatory work is ongoing at the moment. They also say its 90% completed.

Hi misty looks like ths is the 'letter' bit dissapointed to know it wont be ready until June, but does this mean we will get compensation?.
We got excited when we saw the letter had arrived thought they were telling us they had started work now, didn't you?
We need to find out about some sort of compensation dont we!

yes, the letter finally dropped through the door . lets hope that this is not another way of shutting us up for another 6 months as they've done in the past . we will be out there until the 13th of Jan and will be camping out in the Urbasa office if there is no sign of any substantial work being started I will expect to see a full workforce there by the 11th . the letter does give us a definite date for completion something we've not had before

The final part of the letter states
''We hope you forgive us for the inconveniences caused to your activity''
What like retiring 1 year early from work, booking worthless flights, paying for rented accommodation, time spent trying to obtain clarity, being constantly lied to, plenty of stress as to what’s happened to our monies, being informed our luxury apartments don’t have a kitchen or even a shower screen.etc etc
Sorry Mr Urbasa I don’t feel too forgiving at the moment

Sorry to say, but I seen the Amarion 3 at the end of October this year when I was out viewing for the purchase of my own apartment a couple of blocks away, and I'd check on the '90% finished' part, didn't look that way at all, looked as though really a lot left to do and not just minor things, outside was bare brickwork structure all the way and really didn't look anywhere complete, maybe if someone is going out in the next few weeks they could photograph this for you.
Sorry, but I think you're being fed a line there.

hi, we have also recieved letter today disapointed it will now not be ready until june, we have flights booked for april, once again we will have to pay out for accomadation.would be good if we could get some sort of compensation, though i doubt it.they have 3yrs, then 6mths. if everything finished, signed and keys handed over in first half of june as they say, they will be in time frame. will take pictures while out there next week

hi all, as for the 90% finished why will it take them 6months to complete? Surely they could finish before then if only 10% of work left to do!
All of you guys that have been inside the building, how did you get in? Did you ask to go round or just go yourselves? When we are there in Dec we are going to go round as it looks like there is no work as such being done. If there are some builders around we may just slip them 20euros if they will let us take a look!!!
We will still go and see James and Urbasa even though we have got the long awaited letter!
Dont think we will book June flights just yet....not like last year. Will wait to see how work progresses first!
Isn't it Oct then 3months when their time is up? They will prob be covered by saying they are working on it now! oh I dont know they do your head in!

Hi all, we too have received a letter (at last!). Next due out there in March and have already rented a house in Quesada - just had a hunch that our own place wouldn't be ready by then! Then due out in August for our summer hols. We'll believe we'll be in our own apartment then only when we have the deeds signed and the keys in our hands. As for compensation, is it worth us approaching Palmera/Urbasa as a 'group' or should we bombard them with e:mails individually until they crack under the pressure? Yeh, some hope!

I have not got a letter, email or phone call but i think June is more like it
As for 90% done more like 75% done
The last time i spoke to urbasa she said that we should be going to sign in January good job i didnt hold my breath but still it gives us a bit more time to save up i suppose
Aparently there deadline was January thats inc the 3 months extra so we should be entitled to somert * what i dont know*

Hi JPD
When we were over in Oct, there is an entrance round the back of the building that goes into underground carpark, it involves a bit of climbing but thats the way we got in. Nobody stopped us from going in, the guys who were on site just looked at us but didnt say anything.
Re not being finished until June, and the suggestion we should group together to send a letter or something, my feelings are that instead of compensation we should ask if - those of us who are not getting a fitted kitchen - we could have a kitchen fitted at no extra cost, and not go through Palmera but go direct to Urbasa, surely we are entitled to something more than an apology after all this time.

yes, misty we agree apology just does not cover it! we do deserve something more!
Well, we will get in the building somehow. Maybe we will put Santa outfits on and tell anyone who asks that we are delivering christmas prezzies to all residents cos we thought they would be moved in by now. tee hee!
