Welcome...i dont think your too late...looking back thorugh the e mails SMC has been getting a few of us together...im just in the process of waiting for the next step...if you read back through the last 10 or so you will familiarise yourself with whats going on...did you buy through palmera ? have you had any info from Urbassa?

Hi Rowan, yes very welcome, never too late!!

Pls send me PM (private message) with your email address and will forward you email from lawyers, basically  they are just saying what documents they need from us at this early stage ie. original contracts and originals payment docs of any monies given to Urbasa or Palmera.

Danny72 - great to hear you sent off your docs to lawyers.

Babsy & Craggs - will send  / re-send you the email from lawyers tonight (I have been away for a few days)

• Anyone else who has not provide me with their personal email address? Without this, I cannot forward brief email from lawyers. I am still missing a few of the original people intereseted. Ideally, lawyers should have all of our paperwork by no later than middle of next week. Our case should be rolling well before the summer season starts (sure you are all aware during July/August in Spain business/lawyers/courts....run at a very much reduced speed!

i have tried useing the private e mail feature and i dont know about anyone else out there but it dont seem to work for me...(probably just not using it correctly) so please if anyone needs to say anthing private please do so through babstormey@hotmail.co.uk....thanks...babsy

i think the way I set PM was by clicking under my username where it says "send private message" - it will guide through the steps and you then receive an email telling you it is set up. Perhaps Phylansi can give you a hand with this?

YOU DONT NEED TO SET ANYTHING UP  ALL YOU DO IS LOOK AT THE POST AND IF YOU WANT TO SEND A PM TO SOMEONE LOOK UNDER THERE NAME   IT SAYS -   SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE IN BLUE   - CLICK ON THAT ONCE  THEN A BOX COMES UP  TYPE YOUR MESSAGE  PUT SOMERT IN THE SUBJECT BOX THEN PRESS  SEND MESSAGE

Can anybody confirm what is the best way or how they sent there details off  to the lawyers..  Royal mail or DHL ?

Babsy, courier will be faster and recorded  too and will be with lawyers by Monday if docs are sent out today. 

You can also send them by post recorded delivery but usually takes double the time and will probably not be over there until late next week.

these were my thoughts exactly.  There is no answer to that one - and i know it would be a real fight to take it up with the builders - however im sure with your photocopies there would have to be a  way round it, but as far as im aware the lawyers will only work with the originals. I have posted mine off on friday

When I spoke to Elin from the solicitors office she said we didnt need to send originals and copies were fine.  Perhaps phone the office and ask to speak to Elin Castillo (that's who I spoke to) she speaks very good English.

Hi All - I can see below there has been an issue with original documents. When I spoke to the lawyers I was told by them that we had to send original copies.  I do not know why they said later on that copies were ok. Sorry about this.
