Yes it is a shame but you have to have the majority of people on board and all nationalities! Some owners have been adviced by legal representation , not to take certain actions also. As we all know it is illegal to occupy the properties. There are some 500 properties, approximately 300 owned and about 100 attend the annual meetings.
Can't we get onto the council and or SJ to get the CoH's.
And yes I do pay my way, for me it would be cheaper to have a meter!

Reading the recent replies, 9-p gets a message from vivendoo saying meters are not going ahead because of ' lack of interest' .dbr has a message saying all is 'on track'. Who really knows what is going on? Who to trust etc.
Remember, the majority can not be wrong.
....hoy keep to riding your bike!

Just had email from Vivendoo.
"Please be advised that as from Monday, 4th of July
2011, we shall start to install the electric meters of
those owners that have paid the corresponding fee.
We kindly request those owners that have not paid
to proceed with the payment during this week.
On Friday a planning will be sent with the order that
will be used to install the meters"

the rate for electricity for uk households is around 13p to 16p per kilowatt hour. What are they hoping to charge us? Nothing regarding rates has been provided.
Still trying to screw us?
Whilst I have no problem in paying for what I use, I suspect the evil ones will be trying to extract blood to pay for their debts.
do not pay anything over usage, if you decide to pay nothing. the law is on your side This message was last edited by victor meldrew on 29/06/2011.

I, for one, am whole heartedly sick of the totally negative comments from VM - ordinary and genuine people, despite their limitations, and that is not a condemnation nor criticism, continue to do their best in exceptionally difficult circumstances. Comments such as his are purposeless, totally pointless and, in future, totally disregarded!!!
God, there is enough misery in life without the likes of him!!!!!

Just got back from El Pinet on Friday. Nothing has changed. A small JCB was uplifted from the building compound area on Thursday morning which I am told by a friend in the trade may not necesarilly be a worrying sign (plant equipment sitting doing nothing for a few years makes no money for anyone.). For the record, I have paid the 60 Euros per month that has been requested, as like many others a feel that not to do so would leave us in an even worse situation. 240 Euros more is worth the gamble!! The value of our properties will drop far more tha 240 Euros if the site is left unfinished. No-one would touch it with a barge pole and the properties may become un-sellable. I cannot see that there is any choice but to go along with Felix's agreement and at least call the administrators bluff. remember who wrote this. is your opinion still the same? mine is!
This was a post from a critic a couple of years ago!
DI thanks for the information.
Leomack. I dont consider myself negative, realistic yes. Do you know what they want / expect you to pay?
Sorry but I can not live without knowing the costs.
I suspect that there are some BIG bills going to the people there

VIVA LA VICTOR MELDREW
He is saying what a lot of people are thinking.
The biggest problem with El Pinet is not the lack of water or electric its the people that live there.
I am talking about the inner circle who have their opinion to the detriment of everyone else.
and when someone voices their opinion like VICTOR MELDREW people like you Leomack try to shout them down.
I have seen and experienced being victimised by the INNER CIRCLE at El Pinet because I have acted against their bombastic ways.
By all means Leomack have your say thats what an open forum is for but please do not criticise any individual for voicing his opinion.

I know because I talk to and LISTEN to the people of our estate.
Who really bought thinking we were COMMUNAL?
Apart from our pools. T.V cables. ( 20 a month MAX ) What else is 'ours' rather than yours or mine?
Nothing else as I see it.
( a community, where one decides on whether security guards are hired)? No.
Waco was community. Use your own judgement.
There are real issues but these are avoided as it will cost the @@@@'s.
As a group we should ALL BE INVOLVED.

Thank goodness for free speech.
I wish the El Pinet site and Vivendoo's site were keep up to date. It may stop some of the supposition?

This was sent to me a short while ago from a reliable source and not intended as a wind up.
Notice - Changes in the law
Information regarding the changes in the law regarding electricity supply in Spain.
There has been a change in the law regarding the supply of Electricity and now it is a legal requirement for all properties to have fitted a Power Control Switch (or Current Limiter). Depending upon your current Electric Supplier having a record of your property being installed with one of these switches, you may receive a letter from them, advising you of the Installation of Power Control Switches.
The Installation of this switch is a legal requirement and failure to install once you receive the letter from your Electric Supplier (Iberdrola) could result in you being charged at the higher tariff, thus making your Electricity Bills substantially higher.
We have a fully qualified English Speaking Legal Electrician that is able to provide you with a no obligation quotation for the installation of this switch which will also include contacting your Electric Supplier to advise them accordingly so that the unit can be checked and sealed, (your electric supplier will advise you in their letter as to the price they will charge to seal the unit).
If you would like for us to quote for you then please do not hesitate to contact our offices in order to make a suitable appointment.

Hi All,
Just heard from our President that electricy meters for those who have paid were installed today, without a hitch, to Apartments 1 to 118. Rest of Apartments tomorrow the remainder of properties thereafter. The Administrators also advise that to date over 200 owners have paid for installation of meters.

Heard today that a bank has taken all the unsold M2 properties from San Jose, also heard that a San Jose worker was checking out the buildings on M1 and it was expected that work could start in September after the Spanish holidays.
Once the electric meters are fitted the water meters are next. Then we should start to get our own bills from August.

Has anyone heard about the new charges, community and meter charges?
Had an email from Vivendoo saying about the community standing order charges to come out of the CAM, nothing more than that.
