Hi Eoin
I spoke to a lawyer today, who suggested I also contact the Spanish Consulate about Centauro. Did you book your car direct with Centauro or through an agency, just so I can get a case together.

Hi westport,
No I just went into cheap car hire in this forum, eye on Spain then car trawlers came up with the cheapest car hire which was CENTAURO,
I gave the company 2 weeks to credit my card and if not I am going on the radio stationin Spain ( OCI 101.6)
My friend said also to report this to the Denunpco Guardia Civil in Spain and they will definitely incapacitate this matter

Hi Alanleach,
These are the directions posted some time ago:
Coming from Malaga airport take A7 (direction Cadiz/Algeciras), later take Exit 217, (direction Mijas/Benalmadena). Take the A368 (right) for a few hundred metres until you see a petrol station on the left followed by a restaurant. Here you have to cross over to the left as if you were going to stop at the restaurant but just beyond that at left you will see a road which you take. (The main road (A368) which you have now left continuesoff to the right.)
On this road at the first roundabout, take the 2nd exit, you will cross the A7 and come to a second roundabout where you go straight on. Follow the road until the next roundabout and go straight again on to the much smaller road. Now follow this temporary road up to Don Juan.
I haven't tested these myself yet so hope they are all right.

This article comes from Sur in English:
Fuengirola gains 19 million from planning deal
Francisco Jiménez
On Monday the council approved its Partial Plan for the area known as UR-6, allowing the development of land next to the Reserva del Higuerón. “The plan will allow the construction of 1,444 homes and reserves more than 200,000 square metres for green zones, services and roads”, explained the councillor responsible for Town Planning, Ana Mula.
In exchange the landowners (mainly Grupo Prasa) will compensate the town with more than 19 million euros. “The money will be used to the good of all the local citizens, as it will be spent on improving the town’s infrastructure”, added the councillor.
Several years ago Grupo Prasa submitted a plan for the area to the Town Hall but this was rejected on the grounds that it failed to comply with the existing PGOU. An agreement was later reached and approved by the council whereby the building guidelines for the area would not be changed in the new PGOU.
Is this the same area where Don Juan is located?

Yip. That involves the area between our development and the current La Reserva del Higureon. Roads are already there and the deal was in the making for a long time. I consider it good news as it will stimulate the whole area and will make certain that there are more restaurants and shops etc.

There is a new internet shop beside Arrohabitage´s office. 1.50€ per hour - handy for all us internet junkies!
Maximo confirmed that it is planned to put a row of shops beside the road at the railway. He may have news on when this will be done by the AGM.

Hi All,
Just back from Spain the weather was great. I went down to get the key for the garage from the developers office and when I came up to open the garage with the key it would not open. Dose anyone know what is wrong with the garage doors?
Also noticed an appartment with glass curtains are they allowed.

Hi Davmunster
I remember seeing drawings over 4 years ago that showed some sort of shops etc by the railway line. I think it was 3 units. A pub selling Guinness and Magners would be nice.

As far as I know the cement plaster was mixed with a dye and this is the colour on the outside of the apartments, so would say it would be hard to match.
Dose any one know the situation with the garage doors?

Hi Eoin,
we had the same problem and found that the motor was working, but the mechanism was not connected.
I assume that when everyone has keys the developer will finish the assembly on the garage door. It just needs a connecting pin or something.
This was in early November when we last looked, I guess it is the same now.

To comment on some issues:
- Most garage doors are working fine now. Not sure about all of them.
- glass curtains are allowed under specific requirements. I think I mentioned that in my report about the first AGM. If you want to know more about it, PM or mail me as I know them and know some good suppliers.
- indeed the plaster was coloured so even if you paint if in an identical colour it still looks different because the structure isn't the same.

I respect Perla's privacy so I won't go into detail. It's unknown how and why Perla left, but she was very, very stressed after the last meeting. Maybe she got fired because she failed to convince the English delegation or she resigned because the stress was too much.
From now on she is just a neighbour like everyone else and I hope will no longer be blaimed for the things she had to tell on behalf of the company.
Carla is very new to the job so it's hard to judge her.

I met a Viva salesman (still employed!) in Fuengirola today. He told me Viva have 1 office open on the N340 10K before you come to Marbella. Wendy has gone but the homecare service still exists. Any keys held in Fuengirola have been moved to the new office. The official line is that all enquires are internet based today but I guess they like all estate agents are having a very tough time.

The office remaining is expo2007 (or expo2008) and is a separate organization. Related to Viva, but different company. They are trying to hide some facts as usual. Last time they closed a bunch of offices it was 'a strategic relocation' or whatever doublespeak they used.
They want to collect the commision on the sales which are already done so they have to give the impression Viva still exists and very handy they had another company which could be used for the cover up :)
