hi does anyone have blue tiles in there bathroom as i bought a twin blue and white bathroom light which is no good as my bathroom has green tiles let me no by saturday thanks irene

Sorry Irene but I believe everyone has the same coloured tiles throughout the whole development as no-one was given a tile colour option on both DJI and DJII. Best try to exchange your light from where you purchased. This message was last edited by jamesellisllb on 11/24/2007.

Hi all
Is anybody getting a security gate in gront of their door? . My friend has one over his door in Mijas and it adds extra security and they dont look to bad. I was wondering if anybody knew who installs them.

Hi Andy i am right by the lift door and anyone could be hanging around my door as if waiting for the lift and the small wall everyone is just getting over i might be puting cctv in as well bye irene.

Irene at the EGM it was proposed that a cctv system be installed as part of an overall security package. No decision could be made at the EGM but this will be an agenda item at the AGM in January. It is also possible that there could be objections to a private cctv system. The hallways are community areas and, believe it or not, the external walls belong to the community!

Hi,
In some of the posting about all the trouble we/you had some days back, one of you mentioned that a relative to the developer actually had moved in to an apartment in phase 2, and my question is: Does anyone know if there has been granted a licence for use of these apartments and also if it's only one apartment in pahse 2, that is in use?

Hi Wichmann, The licence for phase 2 is not yet granted. I suggest you ask your solicitor for an update on when it is expected to be. With no licence the electricity cannot be connected. That is why the developer's daughter needed to steal electricity in order to live in her phase 2 apartment.

The licence is confirmation that the apartment is suitable for human occupation so although it's not strictly legal it's not a criminal offence either. It is a practice that until recently was quite widespread. Developers and buyers were keen to complete and as the apartments were finished the completions took place and the buyers were supplied with water and electricity by the builder for free until the licence was granted. This still happens in some parts of Spain.

How right you are about the Car rental company CENAURO THEY CHARGED ME FOR A BROKEN WHEEL WHICH i DID NOT BREAK OR TOUCHE OFF ANYTHING THEY CHARGED ME 100.00 EURO EXTRA , i KNOW YOU WARNED EVERYONE AS THEY CHARGED YOU FOR A BROKEN RADIO WHICH YOU DID NOT DO EITHER, BUT I HAD ALREADY BOOKED THE CAR BEFORE YOU POSTED THE NEWS.

Sorry I could not tell you in time. Be warned everyone else. If you book your car through an agency or online, check that it is not with CENTAURO. It makes you think how many others each week they rip off, seeing as it has happened to 2 of us on this site that has about 30 - 40 named users. Lets say on a national level each person gets ripped off for €150, like we did, times it by 50 people a week across Spain, times it by 52 weeks = € 390,000. Easy money if you can get away with it. Its a disgrace. Something has to be done about this company. I will do everything possible to damage the reputation of this company, and I will make sure I get my € 150 worth. Did you know that all businesses in Spain by law have to have a complaints book & if the business is not prepared to settle the dispute you can ask for this complaints book and record the complaint this is then seen by the Spanish equivalent of our Trading Standards and they will take appropriate action if necessary. It may be worth while when next in Spain to go to the Centauro office at the airport and complain and ask for this book.

Dose any one know the name of a good car rental place in Malaga Airport as I am gong over soon and need to rent a car?
It certainly will not be Centauro, when I dropped the car back I asked for someone to check the car, at the desk and the girl said there was no one at the moment but leave it and it will be fine, then they charged me €100.00. for some thing we did not do and Davemunster is our witness as we gave him a lift to the airport.
So be warned always make sure to get the car checked before you leave,

Try malagacar.com I have used them on many times in the past (except the last 2/3 when I have used Centauro) they are cheap and good I have never had any problem with them the only thing is that they are off site and have a shuttle bus which takes you to their office which is a few minutes drive away. The other thing is that sometimes their cars are a little older then the main airport based companies but I have never had a problem with that except once but then they changed the car for me without any hassle.

Making sure you get the car checked over when you hand it back makes no difference whatsoever. We had that done, and the girl even wrote ok on the invoice when we returned it, and they still ripped us off for € 150. We use www.carjet.co.uk They give the cheapest quote for all the car hire companies at the airport. Just double check you dont get Centauro. I have just sent an email to BBC Watchdog programme, and I will be contacting my solicitor as well. This company needs to be stopped thieving peoples money as soon as possible.

My friend works on the radio in Spain so I am going to go on that and shame centauro.
