I coudnt agree more with your comments about diving cheating players and as much as I criticise referees, it must be an absolute nightmare for them to make real time decisions with some of these playactors about and all teams have them. They go over with a gust of wind and it is embarrassing to see, especially after watching England v Wales in the Rugby absolutely batter each other and not a flicker of a feigned injury.
I hope you perform like that against us next week Shane, but I cant see you repeating that dross. Either way, I think you are in for a hard time as we have that steely glint about us at the moment in the league and are building up a nice head of steam. It will probably be another classic encounter as Utd v Spurs games almost always exceed expectations.
Just to finish, I wonder what player will be the one left out for Tevezs' first game and what his reaction will be.

I want some bizarre incident to happen and for once I'd like us to be on the right side of it!!
Should be a good match and will be interesting to see how Scholes, Carrick etc go against Parker, Modric, and VDV as I'm sure Harry will put 5 in the midfield. After all we won't have to instigate all the play as both teams really need a win.
On the diving/cheating issue I have to say I can't see it ever getting addressed as the authorities seem not to care. I'd love to watch a game where all the strikers get dirty due to their play rather than their playacting. Where players are scared to cheat because of getting banned. Where managers actually tell their players to stay on their feet. And where red cards are dished out for abusing the officials. Its not the players job to abuse the refs...its ours!!
But seriously when you are ruled by FIFA do you expect the game to be based on skill, sportsmanship, and fair play...or money.

Hi Shane Spot on mate. Retrospective punishment is the only way these cheats will stop. I know all teams have their culprits and if Keiran did dive I will have to have a word with his uncle as he's one my mates and sits next to me at the grove. I was delighted when Eboue left as he was a diabolical cheat and I can't stand it whether it's in your own team or the opponents. To be fair on Bale yesterday he travels so fast it only takes slight nudge to go over I guess but they make it worse when they fling themselves towards the ground. Dakey just like you lent us your support the other week I'm going to have to return the compliment mate. Sorry Shane but the chase is on and if arsenal can use yesterday as the blueprint for future games starting at Liverpool then the defecit would only be 4 points and thats squeaky bum time ain't it. I didn't realise that. As I mentioned I missed the 2nd half and when I heard the score wasn't that bothered at watching the highlights!! Time for Sandro to step up then. Let Scotty have a rest for a couple of games...he deserves it and might not be the worst thing in the world to happen.

I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal and/or Chelsea closed right upto Spurs. But after our next 3 games - Utd, Everton, Chelsea - we have a pretty good run in. So I would still be confident even if after these 3 games we weren't in 3rd as worst case scenario only a couple of points back. Every team will have a lull and hopefull we have now had ours.
You'll need to open the cheque book to keep RVP as I'm sure some other teams will be happy to open theirs and take him off your hands. He has kept you from being mid table at best. He is class and if Walcott could cross or pass better he might have a few more!!

Sorry for the appearence of being quite but up to my neck in getting the bar open at the moment.
I have been on here begging for someone to stop Harry and his boys and who would have believe it would be us from being 2 down I was cursing and swearing after the first 2 but hell nobody saw that coming. yeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss ( sorry shane )
Right lets deal with the cheats once and for all BALE DIVED we all saw it and i am not blaming the ref for a change he could never have seen no contact the way Bale went down, Video evidence 5 game ban for cheating (unsportsmanlike conduct) that will stop them once and for all. We have been here before on the forum.

I know you didnt but remember I said a good run dont automaticly make you a big side you need to do it year in year out and I can now see Spurs having their poor run especially with all the speculation around the club. At least I pray.

I was going to post before to remind you that you were well below capacity again at the weekend and wondering what classic excuse you would come up with and Woody has beat you to it with an absolute stonker. He told me he is in the south stand and they are allowed to stand up in that area. (even though it is against the law) there is a walkway all around the ground and all the empty seats you can see on the TV are supporters seats who prefer to stand up so they walk around to the south stand and cram in that area. Those seats are not actually empty, the occupants are stood up elsewhere in the ground! Now that is what I call creative excuse making and frankly mate you are not in his league.

Its a bit embarrasing that all the young guns in the premierships midfields keep getting the runaround from our old codgers!
Dave, We can see the big spaces in the away section as playing City is not much of an attraction so they struggle to sell the tickets. Woody was creatively trying to explain the numerous alapecha type gaps all around the home support that is clearly visable on match days, Whether the stats say you have sold out or not! He has obviously prepared his answer as it was very creative, instead of just churning out "we sold out" despite everyone able to see it is not.

What makes a great manager and an ethically run club? Sir Alex leaves our best player out for taking his wife out for a meal 4 days before the game and contributes to losing three points against Blackburn. Contrast that to Balotelli playing today after falling out of a strip club on Friday morning! Are City really that desperate to win the thing? They think they are now a big club, but instances like this betray that perception, you cant polish a turd no matter how hard you try.
