Sorry Jeb mate, you and I are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
I feel no allegiance whatsoever to England, Wales, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland as, in footballing terms, they're all rivals to Scotland. I don't have any resentment towards them either, just indifference, if they win and they deserve it, fair play to them, but I wouldn't be supporting them. Do you support Liverpool in the FA cup after Everton have been put out? I suspect not. :)
I really can't fathom out why you should feel the need to support any country other than your own, but each to their own I suppose.

Thats us out of it! Almunia is crap he should of stopped that 1st effort and the little russian fella should of scored as well. Totally profligate.....it's up to UTD and Chelski....how very boring!!!
I'm going up the range to wind myself up even more!!

Fellas,
I agree with Jay, its now a two horse race and if I am honest Arsenal do not deserve anything else. Both Chelsea and Utd have done the double over them and faced with the easiest run in in history they blow it big style. As far as 'Squeaky Bum' time is concerned, Sir Alex deliberately leaves out both the England captain and also on current form the best player in the world, Ferdinand and Rooney. So he is really feeling the pressure isnt he? It is good that Chelsea are flying so they can have no excuses for failure next week. If they manage to beat us at Old Trafford [without the benefit of dodgy refereeing decisions like the last two encounters] I will be the first to congratulate them, but I cannot see it happening.
Cheers Dakey

aaaaaaaaahhh - every time we get close to the group from 4 - 7 we have a hic-cup, though Wolves have been decent in recent weeks. We still have a chance though as Villa are out on their feet (same as last year), City are unpredictable, Spurs have some big guns to play (and will settle for the FA Cup final) and that red team - well what can you say (LETS HOPE THEIR ONLY DECENT PLAYER TORRES GETS CROCKED AGAIN) - hate to say it but he is world class and may drag them out of the hole Benitez has been digging all season - yes squeaky time indeed !!!

Jay,
I have not seen Arsenal outclassed at the Emirates like they were in the first half since Utd were there a couple of months ago. Seriously though, Barca were just stunning and you have done brilliant to come back and get a draw. As for Utd we were pants and the last time we put in so little effort was against Everton and we got stuffed then as well. Never mind, we sneaked the all important away goal and that might be the difference next week.
Rooney injured though is a worry and I can see Chelski nicking a draw at the weekend now, still wont be enough for them though. as for the Gunners you must be positive next week with Barca's two centre backs suspended you may as well have a real go at it. If you sit back you will get monstered. Best of luck anyhow.

Dakey,
Could not agree more, I've just got back with my lad and we were simply dazzled by them. How we were not 4-0 down in 30 minutes I'll never know. The movement and passing is just from another world and I'm used too seeing good quick pass and movement football beleive it or not!! Almunia did well and pulled off three excellent saves and then came rushing out in 2nd half like a nutter and made another massive error.
The 2nd goal was poor defensively but at that point to only be 2-0 down was a right result! Both teams now have more key players missing for tuesday so like I felt about tonight's game I dont have clue what will happen. You gotta be thinking at home they'll be even better if that's possible but our game plan will have to be spot on, an early goal for Barca and it will be curtains.
Don't know why your mob never really clicked last night even after such a great start, it just didn't seem to spur em on. Still I'd be very surprised if you didn't do the job at old trafford. Shame about Rooney that looks like a nasty one, lets hope it's not as bad as it at first seems for rest of your season and for Englands sake.
Now you know I'm gonna ask for nice little draw on Sunday please!!!!
All the best
Jay

Spainblade,
Rooneys got a sprained ankle, thats never been a four week lay-off even for an amatuer footballer, dont be surprised if he is telling the medical people to strap it up and get him out there for weekend! On the own goal front, if you watch the videos there is always a Utd player behind the defender waiting to tap home, it is called putting sustained pressure on the opposition defence. Looking at where you hail from you would not understand that, as both the Sheffield clubs have not got in the oppositions box 12 times between them all season.
Cheers Dakey

OG touched a nerve eh! Advantage of being a blade we can take it when anyone has a bit of banter at our expense we prepared to wait for an odd day in the sun hope rooney is back soon would rather see utd win title than chelski although arsenal are bettr to watch than both but they cant win it now might have been different if van persie was fit by the way tonights games will benitez pay the PENALTY with his job surely capello wont be swayed by zamoras goals AS for my beloved blades yes we have got in oppositions box 12times although not many more but you can relax as we wont get into play offs so wont be able to take your title next season !
cheers spain blade

Spainblade,
I also think Arsenal are good to watch, It has been good to watch them twice against United, twice against Chelsea and the first half against Barca, in fact they were that good to watch they never got a kick in any of those games. I admit though against the average teams who stand off them they can weave pretty patterns, but it is not enough. To win things on a consistant basis you have got to be able to play good football and also dig out the results when needed and both United and Chelsea do both. that is why Utd win most things and Chelsea push us all the way with Arsenal nowhere!
It would be nice to see the Sheffield clubs back in the top flight, the passion of the supporters has been missed and would only enhance the league, so lets hope the boards and management can produce teams capable of sustaining a challenge next year.
Cheers Dakey
