I've had to keep my powder dry for a while now due to the most appalling run of injuries suffered by any EPL team in it's history -
anyway, looks like the Toffees are on the up now, - how did Arsenal get a draw last week, and City have now been sent packing with their tail between their legs - what a pity the money grabbing Lescott was not on to endure some of the humiliation !
Once again Moyes shows he is the best manager in the EPL GETTING THE BEST FROM THE RESOURCES HE HAS - AND WE STILL HAVE ARTETA AND JAGS to come back along with a few others.
February will be the test with the other team on Merseyside, Chelski, a wobbly MANU & Harry's Spurs to come - can't wait.
We are playing catch up though and it will be difficult for us to make Europe now - maybe the FA cup or UEFA for us ?
Ant lick your wounds and gird your loins - you are up next for us !

Hi Jeb,
I have to agree that your beloved Everton have had a bad run with injuries and they are also looking a lot stronger now. I also agree that we are looking wobbly this season, but although you have suffered injuries you have not lost your entire back line, your goalkeeper and also the back up defenders as well at the same time and for most of the season! For us to be still in close contention in the league, in the semis of the carling cup and the last 16 of the champions league is nothing short of a miracle given those problems. We are getting a few back now so I am looking forward to the rest of the season with some considerable optimism and with my usual completely unbiased outlook.
cheers Dakey

jeb
dont get too carried away with jonny evans, although he served us very well in his two loan spells he still has a lot to learn,
gets caught out in an offside trap,
very very slow, he turns round like a lighthouse,
also used to get bullied off gordon and needs to stand up a bit more,
having said that he may be good enough for evertons defence but he will never be a rio or terry

Maybe not Ant........but he is certainley head & shoulders above all that shi*e on display at the Stadium of shi*e this season. I don't recall you shipping 7 when he was in your team. He has also developed further since his return to OT........I bet you would love to have in your back 4 now! ??

its called the stadium of light, can you not spell? or are you just joining the black and scum bandwagon
i wrote he served us very well in his two loan spells, i was just posting observations which i witnessed while he was at the stadium of light, and yes he is better than the sh@te we have at the moment, but that isnt of much standing,
however i wouldnt refer to him as a little gem, and if you think he is god help united in the future, but thats just my opinion,
sorry for upsetting anyone for giving an opinion on the sport i love and watch as much as anyone else, and not with red tinted glasses i must add.
cheers ant,
a true football supporter and not a glory hunter

pete,
didnt want to start a fight, just giving what i thought was an honest opinion of a very average player,
obviously hit a nerve,
god help them if they had to put up with the sh@te i have to put up with on a daily basis,
i didnt say he was as bad as kenwyn jones or anything like that,
typical red, cant see an average player when everyone else can,as i said red tinted glasses,
come on the blues,
cheers ant
well add to this? played bellamy onside twice, one leading to the corner from which they scored,
oh and what was he doing when they did score, enough said very average,

Have to agree with Ant on this one, Evans and Brown are adequate stand ins, nothing more at this moment. Did you just see them both chase the ball instead of policing their respective areas for Carlos' s winner? Schoolboy defending if you ask me.
On a general point, I cannot keep pace with all these rule changes, I mean when did a shirt pull 3 yards outside the area become a penalty? It is only half time and I suppose that diabolical decision has kept the tie alive for next week, but if we dont get Ferdinand and Vidic fit soon and keep them fit, then there is nothing down for us this season whatsoever.

Steady on mate!! .........Not sure who's nerve was touched here Ant?? .........seems like yours by your aggreesive response.
I was too only sharing an opinion - on the state of your back line. I totally agree that Evans, Brown are stand-ins & are not fit to lace Vidic & Ferdinands boots. They both had a mare last night as Dakey observed. Rafiel still has much too learn too as he continually gets caught the wrong side. But is only a kid & will get better. But cannnot abide "Glory hunter comments" I am Long standing season ticket holder, bought up in a "Red Home" that goes back a very long time - when we were actually more shi*e than you lot.........I still remember our clahes with the Makems in the old second division (74~75)....3-2 at OT & 0-0 at Roker
If you gonna give it out - which you do plenty of by the way, you gotta take a bit too.......!! Dont take it out on me that "George Washington" is still flooded!!

No problems Ant.........Yes.....S-O-S......That was a bad judgement, not my normal style!! We certainley don't want to slip down to their level!!
Re: Evans.......The jury is defiantley still out - but he too has a bad run of injuries & I am not sure any of that back 4 are fit at the minute, with exception of Evra..........without him, we really would be in trouble!!

I have to congratulate the gunners for going top when a short time ago they looked out of it, but I have to say I am completely disillusioned by the standard of refereeing this week. It started with the diabolical penalty given for City by Mr Dean, was compounded by Howard Webb and his linesman disallowing Defoes perfectly legitable goal and I am completely speechless by William Gallas' s horror tackle that led to Arsenals Equaliser. So much so that I cannot bring myself to mention his name, I will only agree that in the words of Sir Alex "he is a little fat unfit tosser". There I have got that little lot off my chest, but you can bet your little cotten socks it will be someone elses turn to suffer these clowns in the not too distant future!
Cheers Dakey
