I have to say Citeh were impressive tonight, in fact they looked frighteningly good. You do though have to temper the praise by saying it was Newcastle they were playing, a team that look decent on paper but certainly last year failed to deliver. I also could not believe Pardew's ("we're in a different league to Everton now" - yes you certainly are, lol)', kamikaze tactics, where they tried to out pass, and outplay Citeh. You might say that was commendable but going there on day one and attempting to play in such an attacking fashion was naive in the least but I suspect it was more to do with Pardew's ego. - they might cause Hull or Palace a few problems but not Citeh. On another note Jamie Carragher provides an interesting match analysis but it can only be a matter of time before Sky introduce sub titles so that we understand what he's on about, especially when he gets a bit excited. The scouse accent can be a challenge at times but combine that with a high pitched squeak that sounds like a cross between Donald duck and Orville then I'm lost ! Neville looks acomplete pro now beside him. Can't believe the cheek of Moysie with that bid for felli and Baines. I hope the powers that be a Goodson told him where to go with that bid. Great to see we have rolled another one of the production line in Barkely, he looks absolute class and may be a surprise inclusion in the Engerland squad for Rio. ( BTW did you see Norn Iron's result vs Russia last week !). I wonder how Rodwell is feeling, can't see him getting much game time at City.

Fellas,
We all have a little wind up with each other, but to sum it up after one game it is anyone of the top 3 with nothing to choose between us, with Spurs edging out the Gunners for 4th. I really think that Arsen is in the death throes of his reign and it will be a shame if he gets sacked instead of leaving with dignity, but that,I fear, is what is coming for him. A CL qualifier in Turkey is something he could do without right now.
On the hysteria about our double bid, £12 million for a full back coming up to 29 is more than generous, especially considering he is no better than our current left back. Bidding less for the curly haired one than Everton originally paid is a bit cheeky I will admit. He is worth £20 million in todays market so a final double bid of £32 million would be fair. If Everton dont want to sell at that then fair enough, we will still win it anyway.

Jay, Neil.
I fear the worst for you lads tonight, I hope I am wrong but all the vibes point to disaster.
I see one of the growing band of your deserters Clichy is delighted with the bitters start.... I dont think he just means the win against the hopeless, hapless, useless Geordies either.... he must be refering to the start dished out by the PLs bent computer of Newcastle, Cardiff, Hull and Stoke as being the easiest start in the history of the league. If City are not top after 4 games with that little lot, they never will be!!

The Arsenal situation is a real head scratcher. They apparently have the money but Wenger won't bid the price to get real quality. Meanwhile Spurs spend the Bale money and look ever firmer favourites for a top four slot. Can't help but think that Mancini could find himself at the Emirates before too long. Wenger has lost the fans and will the board stand by and continue to watch them slide a la Liverpool ?

Jay, Neil,
Happy to be proved wrong fellas, well done. 2nd leg surely a formality now.
After being handed two nice home games to start I have suddenly remembered something about the chosen one that I had forgotten from last time..... what a jammy B........ he is! Still after next mondays trip to the theatre we will be above them on GD with a game in hand, so no problem there then.

Chelsea have complained to the FA about the football fixtures as they think to have 3 hard games at the end of the season with all to play for is a big disadvantage over having 3 walk over games at the start of the season .
BTW im sure its time for Jay to come out of the closet after the tight gits won a game!

George,
I have just seen some of the incidents from your game last night and I cannot believe my eyes! after that display Kevin Friend needs to change his 1st name to Chelseas. The most blatant deliberate elbow I have ever seen only given a yellow card and to rub it in the man stays on and scores the winner. Handball is a contensious subject so referees have been told that if the arm is in an unnatural position then the penalty must be given. Terrys swat of the ball ABOVE his head was not even a close call, couple that with the Torres dive in the first game and we can all see what we have to contend with this season, but at least it has become crystal clear very early on.

dakey take ther red mist glasses off. The players jumped for a ball and there was an unintentional. yes dakey unintentional connection. correct decision yellow card. Terry was pushed so free kick to chelsea would have been correct decision.Keep forgetting man u never get any contentious calls-lol. where's howard red webb . im sure youll wheel him out as 12th man monday-lol.

Well Kev,
That was a pleasant surprise, I really thought that given the easiest start of any contender ever in the PL that City would be sat top with a massive GD after 4 games. What a lovely game football is. Two games in and that is their challenge over, I know it is early but if you cannot grind out a result against a team playing its first home game at the top level for nearly half a century, then you cannot really call yourselves contenders. Not when your manager and half your players have no experience of the places or challenges they are going to meet. An inspired choice of manager.... NOT!!

Kev,
Looks like the euphoria of the first weeks capitulation by the Geordies has evaporated in the chill Welsh air. I think Chaddy has joined City Dave, Shampers and the rest and threw in the towel already. We will have to call them all the 'sunshine boys' as you only hear from them when things are looking good. Just wait till tomorrow if Chelsea manage to fluke something tonight.

V poor game tonight vs Chelski. About two shots on goal if you could call it that and at times a morgue like atmosphere . I wonder if Davy misses the Goodison roar ! Rooney prob best player on pitch - he should come home where he'll be appreciated.

What a fantastic weekend of results apart from Swansea who spoiled it.
Spuds....Two wins two penalties that's what I call scraping it, bring on next Sunday!!
On another absolutely hilarious note me and mine all watched tonight and counted the amount of passes made by Rooney to the Dutch skunk.....guess how many??? One!!! He hoofed a left foot clearance after a very good tackle on on his own bi-line to be fair and by chance it went to the skunk. It'll never work and Rooney will have to leave.
Jay ;)

Jay,
you are drunk!
George, I think both teams cancelled each other out through respect and a draw was a fair result (which is a point gained for us, as you beat us at O/T last year, albeit once the league was won)
Jose is a bit difficult to fathom sometimes, he decides to play like Barca with no traditional centre forward, then when he brings on a centre forward he tells the rest of the team to play as goalkeepers! your homer ref Atkinson was never going to give us a dodgy pen in a million years though. Still, the dinosaur has done ok so far 2 wins and a draw against 3 of last years trophy winners is not a bad start is it? it could be worse, we could be getting mullered in Wales somewhere!
