Well, Mr Moyes has managed to take a runaway champions side into the laughing stock of the league in less than 6 months, now whatever you think of him that is no mean feat. Do you know the one pleasing thing for me though is that while we have a seaon of transition, The bitters and Chelsea are not much better. We are very shite and they are just shite. Do you remember last year Jay when you said that we had not won it, it was handed to us because the other teams never made a fist of it, the exact same thing can be said of your attempt this year. That is not a critisism of the gunners it is an indictment of the rest of us, no one is sustaining a challenge and you may therefore win it by default, although I am certain you will not be bothered by that one bit, just like I wasnt.

Dakey You're bang on. We're crap so far but so is everyone else with one exception. The difference is it's cost most of them a lot more money to get to be so bad! Arsenal have been head and shoulders above everyone so far in quality and consistency so deserve to be the current leaders. Can they finish the job though?

Yes, we are in a transition period and will not win the title this year, so Arsenal will never have a better chance to get back on track. In contrast to our league form we have the best record this year of anyone in cup comps so we may have to focus there and at the same time try and nick a CL place or just win the thing!
The funny thing for me though Chaddy when you refer to clowns is how the most expensive team EVER put together can look so brilliant at times at home and then come up with one of the worst away records in the league. It is baffling yes, but also very amusing.
I will continue to support my team through the temporary short lived bad times and even today I bought a lovely Man Utd table lamp. It looks great in the middle of any table!

Hang on Dakey lad, you were telling us just a couple of months ago that the table would look poor for your lot for the first couple of months but then as you got your easier run (with home games) then you'll be top at that point. You actually did better during the 'harder' spell which means the transition is actually a deterioration given how your lot are falling like a stone, unless the transition period stops soon then at current trajectory you'll be fighting it out with Sunderland and Palace ....... oops hang on Palace are going the other way at the mo so they should be above you by New Year
Quite a lot of excuses and fumbling around for some positives in there, in fact back to the old Dakey farcial prediction mode of a couple of seasons back ...... and Kev, i think you'll find everyone is not as crap as your lot, so Dakey did get it bang on but you seem to have missed that point.
Arse to drop points today, then get beaten next weekend, then lets see what the table looks like

Hang on Shampers, Citys away record W2,D2,L4. Utds away record W3,D2,L2. In our worst season for 30 years. You dont win leagues mate by being a home side banker, you have to get away results at tough places. you obviously cannot do that on any kind of regular basis so even an idiot can see it is not going to the Emptihad this season.

Everton are awesome and Ross Barclay's the nuts!!
Great game and definitely the best team we've played this season by a mile including Dortmund.
Draw a fair result. 5 points clear at this point and I'm happy.. Kebab time now x

Jay,
You are correct, Everton do look very good which means that our unlucky 1-0 defeat in midweek to them is not as bad as it looked. Shampers, I get accused of being deluded sometimes so I have accepted that we will not win the league this year, when are you going to do the same?

Not the point mate, The point is, was it the title contending City home team or the relegation form City away team? I think I can be vindicated for my pre season assessment of City at this point, if you remember I questioned Citys chances of winning it based on the fact that you had brought in a manager and players with no experience of the PL and so would not know what lay ahead at the likes of Stoke, Sunderland etc and that has been a spectacularly correct call. (the fact that I also thought Moyes PL experience would give him the edge has been equally spectacularly wrong at this juncture, but we live in hope) The fact that you think you can catch Arsenal means that we can catch you, because the gap is similar. so that is what we will do.

Geoffrey Boycott says :-'
With the team now one defeat away from a first Ashes series loss since 2006-07, Boycott believes England are in decline.
"They are like my side, Manchester United," he added ahead of the third Test in Perth, which starts on Friday. "I think the glory days have gone. I don't think they are there as a team. It is all beginning to unravel."

Wow what a game would have loved to hung on for the win but have to be fair the draw was the deserved result.
Everton now play with style and keep the ball the work rate is exceptional and all the blue mersyside fans now have expectations of not only winning but watch a decent game. That must think that the day Moyes and the galloping hairdo moved to destroy Man U was the start of the an era for them. The youngsters coming through especially Barclay have brought a new lease of life to the club.
With the other results mostly going in out favour will take the 5 point lead at this stage and whatever happen next week at City will still be top.
Also starting to look at the England sceen and with the Everton, Soton, Arsenal plus the other youngsters scattered around the prem coming through this could also be the start of a new era for England. Question will Ashley Cole make the plane for Brazil --- Gibbs, Baines and now Luke Shaw is their room?
All this writing and not a mention of Man ure or Dakey so all I say is

Shampers,
I think if you look at the Everton v Citeh results over the past 3 seasons, you may actually realise that this seasons result goes against recent form.
But lets be honest, if you can keep just throwing money at buying any mercenary that fancies a payday, you will win things. But does it actually mean anything to the real fans ? Its all a little bit of a hollow victory.

Mark, i stopped going 6 years ago after going home and away for donkey's years. I don't particularly find prem football entertaining anymore and particularly didn't enjoy away ticket prices and stewards treatment of fans, but Dakey has only been following football since 1993 so it's still quite new to him so he hasn't got the fact that clubs don't give a flying fcuk about the fans and what we think............ and yeah fully aware of Everton v City results (not just over the last 3 seasons), i used to back Cahill to score with a header every time, that transfer has cost me money

Watching The Vermin and they are very poor playing a poor side, The Blues on the other hand are a credit to the football league playing probably the best club side in the world in their own back yard and winning.
