hi,
Simply Networking is now posting all the games for the coming week that are being shown at Kennellys Bar on Camposol. Apparantly they are now running a free bus to Condado to pick up and drop back for these games provided they have between 6 and eight at a time.
You can find these games listed in the Whats On Section each monday.

Hi Jeb,
I know that being a gentleman you are waiting for me to post first,, either that or you are pissed up somewhere with a big smile on your face. Anyway I must congratulate you and your team on a fabulous performance. I would prefer to leave it there than start up about our non performance as I would be here all night. After the euphoria of Milan it beggers belief that we can then turn in such a lack lustre display, but that would be to detract from Evertons brilliant showing and I am not going to go there. Once again, well played and keep it up now. Just a final note, we gave you Saha because we could not keep him fit and replaced him with Berbatov who plays like he is injured. I know who I would rather be leading my frontline. Enough said.
Cheers Dakey

Just want to comment on how unlucky Chelsea were last night, what a great performance. How they lost that game I will never know. If they maintain that level at home they should go through at a canter.
Right, enough of the unbiased stuff, I am getting too boring as I get older. Now, it is not for me to STOKE the fires of passion but the 34 years has just clicked over to 35. How long have they been the richest club in the World? is it 2 years and counting. Not making much difference is it, untold riches. However I do wish them all the luck in the World on Saturday against Chelsea to put us back in control of the Title destiny.
I am stuck on an oil rig in the middle of the North Sea so I will not be able to celebrate a City and United double header this weekend with the amber nectar. Doesnt mean I wont be enjoying the football all the same.
Cheers Dakey

Its me again, has everyone stopped posting on here, where has the banter gone?
A good away result for Liverpool to take them through and keep their season alive. It must have seemed like old times for them as that was the standard of opposition that they used to face in the old European Cup format when there was only ever about four half decent teams in it and you could end up facing the champions of Belgium or Poland or Scotland in the latter stages. Countries that cannot even get past the qualifiers in the present format! Happy days eh, lads.
I am just going back to the teleroom to watch the good team from merseyside against Sporting Lisbon. Win or lose I am sure Jeb will have something to say later tonight
Cheers Dakey

Dakey, I think we must have left something behind at Goodison (our boots !) - desperately dissapointing, some of the team looked like they didn't want to be there, the only poistive was to see Jags back and he could yet replace Ferdinand on the plane to SA - like golf the hardest thing to get right in consistency - now all we have left is to battle to get into the Europa League again next season - NOT HAPPY TODAY

Hi Jeb,
You know, I think that is why we all are in love , not only with our own teams, but football in general. It is so bloody unpredictable.
Utd have had some great results recently, then turn in a performance of mind numbing nothingness at Goodison. Everton for their part comfortably and deservedly beat both Chelsea and United and in the same breath lose to two nomark teams in Sporting and Liverpool. I suppose that with all that unpredictability one thing remains totally predictable, City, no matter how much money is thrown at it, will continue to fail and make the vast majority of us in Manchester very happy.
By the way Jeb, have you noticed that for the most part it is only you and me posting about football recently. Have we worn them all down to the point of submission?
Cheers Dakey

can't fault your argument on City and think Everton will finish above them - don't see them taking owt of Chelski tomorrow !
As for the rest, Ant used to be a good laugh but I'll doubt he'll surface again until Sunderland do their usual and scrape to Survival.
Looks like a few chickens coming home to roost at Pompey - who next , the debt laden Manu/Glaser foundation, Chelski if Roman loses interest, moneyless L'Pool, etc etc

Fellas,
Things just cannot get any better, All my dreams have come true in one week. Last week I thought to myself wouldnt it be nice for City to go out of the FA Cup at Stoke then beat Chelsea and then to top it off for us to beat Villa. I am now kicking myself that I did not put a few bob on it, I mean it was always going to happen wasnt it?
I had a rant some time ago about clown referees after some appallingly bad decisions against Utd and I remember saying that you would all fall victim to them before the season ends. Well today was Villas turn. How Vidic stayed on the field after giving away that penalty I will never know, it should have been a straight red card but to compound the issue he was not even given a yellow so that when he eventually did receive yellow for yet another mistimed tackle, it should have been his second yellow so he actually escaped a sending off twice. The only thing I can say is sorry to Villa and a big thank you for Mr Phill Dowd who is now our favourite clown referee.
Cheers Dakey

Don't let your thread move down 3 pages. Still reading you, and havin a laugh. I know it will bug you when your points are not answered. You've tried enticing me out a couple times. You and Jeb are trying hard to keep it goin. You miss Andi, he was always good for new points. Lets try for some comments
Strange season. Neither Chelsea or Utd at best but others are not putting run together. Gooners looked good against poor team last night, they might nick it.
Our season so far beat chelsea twice, beat arsenal twice, didn't lose to liverpool will be utd twice at home and lose in Fergie time away. We'd be top of big 4 league if we could stay in it.
Nearly bit with a reply a month or so back when Paul "not smooth" commented about the world cup during the thread that everyone should and would, get behind england. Cappielow accused him of havin a chip and that we scots would be behind them as well!!!!!! Paul i'm a fellow blue and live in same garden as yourself. I am over in Jo'burg for the world cup final and if england make it, god help me, I will have my kilt on and be supporting..........................................wait for it................................which ever team in the world they are playing. I will also be moanin my head off about the fact that they don't have their own national anthem and continue to sing the British one. Spain v Brazil or the Argies would be a belter.
Give Dakey and Jeb a hand lads before the end of the season, its exciting for a change. Jeb loved your comments before our trip to Chelsea. Now Arteta is back you shouldn't fear anyone. You needed an extra 8 points or so and you would be up for 4th.

Think you're right Bilbo. He just couldnt keep away, though I'm not sure about the sense of humour!.
Think we get good coverage over at Camposol but would like more matches screened at The Clover. Did find a good footy channel last year on the PW system but cant seem to get it now- pity. But the atmosphere's better down the pub.
Man U did well tonight, comfortable winners.

Ant welcome back - your cutting wit has been sorely missed though it must be hard to keep positiive watching your lots decline after early season promise but it is true the 'cream eventually rises to the top' as in Everton's phoenix like rise from the ashes of an injury jinxed season. The loss to Spurs may just put the kibosh on our Europe chances but we'll keep plugging away and to finish above pool would be beautiful !!! Pity we couldn't keep Donovan, England will have to take note of him in SA !

Now thats what I am talking about, City Dave, TQM, Billbo and Ant all coming out of the woodwork in time for the seasons run in, followed by the World Cup, brilliant! Do you know, there is something quite entertaining in a quaint sort of way when a bunch of mid table Charlies enter into friendly banter.
Cheers Dakey
