It's now a 2 game season, Fergie could have took the gamble to rest players given his last 2 games, hoping City would not get 3 points at the Toon ...........but lets face it he's an addled old man who even confuses you, so who knows what he's thinking?

Shampers,
He took a gamble by leaving out form players for players with Derby experience and it backfired. With players like Wellbeck, Valencia, Young, Hernandez and even Berbatov warming the bench we were not going to exert sustained pressure on your back four with the line up he went with. He talked about trying to win the game, but to me he played for a draw hoping we might snatch one on the break and that for me has never ever been the Utd way. Anyway, I have always had Newcastle as my second team, but if they do us a favour and we go on to win it, then I will be the first to admit we dont deserve it. I am going to bed now, so leave me alone!

Fergies cracking up, he's cracking up, he's cracking up, Dakey's cracking up ............. sweet dreams Dakey.
I agree btw, he normally starts with 1 of Giggs or Scholes, but to start with both as well as Nani and Park quite bizarre hence my view about the last 2 games gamble .......... perhaps it was the fact your fave player Evans was missing??????
OY< ARE YOU LISTENING ??????

Great game for the neutral, proper enjoyed it!
Well done Dave, Tony, Shampers et al. Kompany is some player how he did not make the premiership team of the year baffles me.
Dakey you're right that was a bad selection for the night and you never looked likely set up like that.
Nice little bit of sideline action with Rosie Chops and Mancini "giving it all that"
Still think Newcastle at st James might be sticky for Citeh so who knows??
Goodnight Dakey

Newcastle at home after a horrible loss knowing another one and their chances of CL is gone...won't be an easy game. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see both teams pick up 4 points in their last 2 games.
Enjoyed last nights game for the tense atmosphere more than anything. Utd were poor and I don't think City were at their best either. Some of the breaks/chances they had you would expect more from a team of that quality. Then again when the pressure is on its not as easy...just look at Messi and his penalty.
I'm still waiting for another surprise...but who will it be??

Well Fellas,
Back awake now and desperately trying to find some positives. The fact that Newcastle and QPR have got everything to play for albeit for different reasons is one and the fact that Swansea and Sunderland (Utds reserves) have not is another. On the Evans front, I know that Smalling made one error for the goal, but overall that was a much better defensive display (and it had to be) so I would leave that part of it alone. I have no problem with playing 5 across the middle to tighten up after the Everton debacle, what I cant get my head round is the selection. He could have played Wellbeck up top and dropped Rooney deeper or even put Valencia in there as the extra man, at least he is going to hit you with pace on the break. I dont think anyone of our 333 million fans would have chosen Park to play and its Fergies biggest gaffe since leaving Mark Hughes out of the game at West Ham in the mid 90s for McClair and that also cost us the league that year. What has that man ever done for us!!!!! COME ON YOU TOON HEROES!
Dakey
( oh and by the way, TEVEZ was impeding DeGea for the goal! A stonewall foul, all night long)

Dave,
I am staying off here for a few days, I need to meditate and pray for devine intervention to any God that will listen and do something! It will probably be Budda as he closely resembles most Geordie supporters.

Would be hilarious
Miss out on CL and lose a manager and two best players...if only I thought it was impossible!!
Surely Bale is too young to play for chelsea
But at least with Harry, he will be older than the players

Jay,
Abramovic has fallen on the right manager for Chelsea by default and if he gets rid of Di Mateo for Redknapp he wants his bumps feeling,
Be interesting how Chelsea line up tomorrow against Newcastle and will they be motivated. I would like to see a positive result for the toon for obvious reasons going into the games at weekend, although the game against City wont matter as we are going to thump Swansea about 12-0! ( doesnt take me long to get my second wind after a setback)

George
The only pockets that Roman put his hands in were Boris Yeltzin's and the other 141 million russians that he mugged.
What's exactly wrong with being prudent whilst investing 400 old million in a club's future whilst also maintaining champions league participation every year throughout that period. I honestly think that no other club would of been able to achieve so much under those operating constraints and should of had at least a couple of pots to boot.
I'm not one for the bible mate but even I know that 7 years famine is followed by 7 years of feasting and I feel good about us next year whoever your mob gets in charge.
How will Chelski fair under the new rules with the amount players they have got to shift out/in with transfers and the wages. You better get Harry and then get him to do some of his "special" deals or your be ruined!!
Harry must be smarting now and must of thought he'd at least get a crack at an interview. It's a massive DIS to him.

And pray tell me where did the new arsenal owners inherited their wealth. It wasnt from a market stall which is where abramovich started. most russians i know admire him. and all chelsea fans are very grateful. so we really really dont care, because in 50 years time its the trophies on the wall like the liverpool fans count not where the money comes from that will be in the history books.

The current majority owner is a septic who knows FA about football but owns a number of successful sporting franchises. His model is always the same and whilst us gooners don't particularly like the guy or the way he runs/invests into the club, he appears to be an honourable man who believes in a self sustainable business plan even if it's a bit cautious for our liking. His money has been inherited and earnt honestly and he's married to the walmarts daughter so their combined wealth is immeasurable. Waiting in the wings is a despicable wrongun scumbag like the one you've got and the club and the fans are fighting tooth and nail to keep his dirty money out of our club. Arsenal has always been run well and never has had to be sold for a quid or had minutes to survive before going bust. George you mention history and 50 years which is ironic because I believe the history books show that it took 50 years for you to win the title something that would just never of happened without Rotten Roman's Robbed Ruebles!! Incidently there's Russians that look up to him and there's more that would like to be looking 6ft down on him!! Final point, history did not begin 2005 mate ;) It's been going a lot longer than that. Jay
