George,
I agree, Rooneys slip for the penalty miss was hilarious, It was a carbon copy of Terrys' in 2008. luckily Rooneys hasnt cost us anything...... unlike poor old John!!

RVP 100 Goals for the Gooners
Just shows you without doubt that he's certainly the classiest act in the premiership 26 goals in 31 games is outstanding.
If Arsenal can keep him fit then they can harbour hopes of rising up the league to at least challenge and put some pressure on the teams that think they're going to have it all there own way.
Like last season UTD without Rooney are poor and I still think that defence is vulnerable. You will have to tighten it up without him because you won't be able to outscore other teams easily just like yesterday.
George....Lampard what's happening?? Is it coming to an end, hearing a lot of moans about him being slow and not suiting Torres style of play from my blue pals.
Have good week gentlemen
Jay

Hi Jay,
How you doing mate.
Yes lamps wont be playing as much as before but with all the cl games i think it is right to rest him>he came on against foolham and was sublime and i expect him to start against valencia on wednesday. Going up there to cheer on the lads and have a few beers. One of my favourite away grounds.
Let me know when you are next over for a spot of golf. Just hope you are playing better than your team otherwise youll spend the day in the rough looking for your balls!

Hello George
The cottage is great aint it and you'll be spoilt for choice for pubs, Im sure you'll have a great time. Fulham due a result sooner rather than later though!!!
Will be over soon and playing in the society day friday week I think.
Taking the father in law (he's from athens) to see Olympiarcos at the grove tomorrow night. My first game of this season so kinda of looking forward to it but gutted to hear Jacky boy's out for 4 months after his operation.
Sp*rs away on Sunday so up the pup for a few, it would be really good to stop them in their tracks and build a little more on our slightly better recent form but they'll be favourites this time. I hope that homeless dog Adebayor ......well I cant say really on this forum but ill leave it up to your imagination.
Jay

Adebayor has found his way home to become a Spearhead in the Mighty Yid revolution that's rolling out this season and you know he's gonna score at least 1 on Sunday. lol We've gotta watch it in Camposol, was hoping to be watching it in Condado Club, but unfortunately not this time. COYS

HaHaHa. Very funny Jay, I wish it wasn't true that he starts off great at every club and then behaves despicably and then leaves after causing a storm, but hopefully he realises the error of his ways this time and knuckles down, us yids can live in hope. (at least he's not half as bad as that mercenary rat Tevez, he Disgusts me Totally) I'll swap you Adebayor for RVP? LOL Geoff

Luckily we only have Adebayor on loan so if he starts throwing his toys Harry can give him the boot. But for now he's doing his job and its nice to see a striker actually finishing...can't rely on the likes of VDV and Bale to score all our goals.
Just saw the Tevez saga....with you on that Geoff. You get paid 200k/week and then refuse to take the pitch when asked. Mancini noticeably upset in the press conference. Tevez chose wrong club to do that in....the one club that can afford to let someone on his wages see out his contract with no game time. That would be just desserts for Tevez if City had the bottle to do that.
Some of those players do not have a clue how lucky they are...role models my arse.

Fellas,
Tevez spent a lot of time on our bench and never refused to go on. Fergie seen right through him and got rid. He is at the right club now to perform his antics and they are stuck with each other as no one is going to pay decent money for both him or his wages.
On to last night, we were a bit complacent and nearly got undone, but not too bad in the end. As for the bitters, if they just hang in there and hold off Villareal then they can have another crack at the Europa league after Xmas. Not as easy as it looks eh, Dave?
Cheers, Dakey

Looks like chelsea were the only english team to play well in the cl this week. Just got back from the game and again we were let down by the officials this time denied 2 blatant pens, But hey we are top of the group while the rest of the english clubs are struggling to make the next round..

LOL.
Take the blue tinted glasses of George. Chelski were good going forward but wide open for a lot of the game and Valencia deserved at least a draw.
Utd will qualify and Arsenal might squek through but City will just carry on providing the slapstick entertainment! Chelsea might struggle if their group was a bit stronger.

Spot on Kev,
Following the bitters reminds me of watching a classic only fools and horses episode, it is absolutely hilarious. I think we are a bit slow on the Euro front at the moment as we have had to hit the ground running in the league and I give City credit for that. We have not been allowed our customary slow start so we have transferred it to europe instead as the group looks quite easy so we will eventually qualify at a canter.
10 games played, 7 wins, 3 draws, massive goal difference, community shield in the bag and wins against all our main rivals. That will do for me for starters.

Nice offer but I hope you won't be offended if I politely decline.
We were the only team to win in Europe this week and we're not very good right now. Does not say much about your mob's does it. Maybe you're not all quite as good as you think you are. Defences look a little shaky to me and I should know a shaky defence when I see one.
Still a credible draw away at the German champions and a fairly comfortable win against my father in law's team (hahahahahaha) means CL final stages qualification is more than lightly. I told ya about A O C and now he's the youngest ever english scorer in the champs league I predict big things for the lad.
Watching the city game on Tuesday I have to say the Ribery performance was as good a performance I have seen by an individual player in the champs league for a good few seasons. He totally bossed it and really looks like a class act. Teves on the other hand is the face of what is all wrong the game today. Disgusting behaviour and Dave,.... Denko's shirt throwing, Zabelata having a hissy fit and my own personal favourite Nasri's face like a smacked ass. The team look at odds with the manager not a good sign.
George how many yellow cards at full time tut tut!!
Interesting times ahead but still not looking forward to Sunday .....I'll take the draw now.
Cheers all
Jay

Did I miss something? For a Chelski fan to be having a go at any other team's players for inappropriate behaviour must mean they're shagging either someone in their own team or their wife ! When the football argument is lost we always seem to come back to this - try to stay on topic guys (football). Admittedly another year without a trophy in London can't be a pleasant thought. I seem to remember a while back George or Jay suggesting there was a shift of power towards London - how wrong was that???
By the way - not a whisper from all the City fans that were on here a week or two ago following the latest episode of their slapstick comedy show.
