I too would like to congratulate chelski on continuing to operate their business model so effectively. To be able to be as consistent at spending far and beyond your operating turnover on transfer fees and wages is simply outstanding! A simply stunning achievement highlighted with a mid season mega spend to make 100% sure that your meagre turnover would never cover the costs!!! Brilliant. Now the only classy thing left for you to do is to get rid of the only dignified member of your classless rabble and sack a man who delivered a double last year. What a beautiful outfit, admired and respected by all! Well done. Jay

Hiya Lads
Have been in a strange excitable mood today, can't think why!!! Got up this morning, round to the corner shop and bought all 9 of the papers on offer and low and behold it wasn't a dream. All nine carried stories and pictures of Wembley. Some a few pages from the back even mentioned Dakey's lot's creditable draw at Blackburn but luckily not too much was mentioned
Settled down to watch a nervy Rangers game at Killie and what a start that was. 3 goals in 7 minutes. So straight back to cornershop to put my Lotto numbers on whilst the world had turned nice (well you would wouldn't you).
Play nice George, pickin on Jay at the end of the season. How was it today Jay? didn't think that result was on the cards. I really fancied Chelsea this year, right up to last week.
Dakey mate. Your achiles heel seems to be attendances. You can't quite grasp the simple ideals that the amount of people at a game, can be (officially) no greater than the amount of people allowed in. Wembley my mate, doesn't hold 90,000.
Not sure about the staff question or what worried you about it. I would think it would be standard practice for club employees to offer the chance to watch the game. I know Flembo's daughter gets 2 tickets for every United final and free transport included. (she works in the ticket office)
Still plenty to play for next weekend. Relegation has turned out to be a hell of a scrap.
Parting thought Dakey, like the bogey man "we're comin to get you"
Dave xxx

Dave,
Have to agree with Jays comments to George about Chelsea and their continued ability to fail even though they are spending way above their true weight. the only thing he forgot to mention was that for Chelsea you can also say the same about City only worse.
Cheers, Dakey

George I have been going to arsenal since 1978 and have never booed them once in all that time. I rent my season tickets out currently so that I can watch my son play golf and my daughter play football. (it's much more enjoyable granted)!! However I think from what my pals told me the main reason for the bad feeling down there yesterday was due to the 6% price increase across the board on all levels of membership. That makes my lower tier ticket £985 and it's the cheapest!!! The real fans aren't important to any of our clubs anymore. We are average Joe's that drink in the pubs up the holloway road and probably dont buy programs & burgers in the ground. Nor do we go into the armoury or any of the club superstores and spend £100's on replica shirts and merchandise. We are not the type of punter they're after and I think the fans are beginning to feel that have had enough of it. Maybe when a team is doing well, winning titles and cups the fans will be more easy going when it comes to the business cinicism of these organisations that used to be clubs but the gooners and I mean the old Skool gooners are getting a little bit pissed off with it. Personally I don't blame em because that's exactly how I feel. The fact that now there's going to be a power struggle between a yank and Russian crook just makes it worse for me. I'm off to watch Harlow Town next year Jay

George,
At least there were some gooners left in the ground to boo, Ancellotti did a lap of honour, probably to say goodbye and no one was left to see it! talk about fickle. On the subject of fans, to see the real fans just watch the away games, it is like the old times everyone singing and encouraging all the way through the game and it is similar with most clubs no matter who you support. The way things are going and with the tv and internet access to most games the stadiums will all soon be only half full on match days. Hey Dave, you at least can say that you have led the way on that one then.
Cheers, Dakey

dakey,
you were carping on recently about your lot winning the youth cup and saying chelsea were not producing.
well a little update for you. chelsea won that cup last year and those same players are now turning out for the ressies.they won the south section reserve league this season and today beat the northern winners in the play off to decide the english reserve team champions. the team they beat were blackburn who incidently knocked man u out in the northern play off.
average age of the chalsea squad was 18.

George,
Jog on mate, its a bit sad when you have to trawl right down to the junior teams to find a trophy. Everyone accepts that the hallmark for the youth teams is the FA youth cup and we sorted your kids out without breaking sweat...... a bit like the first team then. You may have some promising kids and you are going to need them with the spine of your team averaging about fifty or thereabouts. We have a good percentage of our squad under 23 and Fergie is a master at adding young motivated players to the mix. Its a good job he is relatively young himself with at least ten more years left in him.
Cheers, Dakey

George,
Having been to Wembley in 68, Barcelona in 99 and Rome in 2008, thats three more than you will ever go to see. unfortunately I will have to miss this final as I have to work and I feel that the mate who uses my season ticket has earned the right to go before me, but I am sure my Scottish friends on whatever oil platform I am on will have the biggest match of the season on, so I will not be missing our victory. Whatever happens in this final though, nothing will come close to entertaining us more than John Terrys keystone cops impersonation. I still watch it even today and I am in fits of laughter each and every time. No one has seen anything of Imogen since the lurid accusations, I think JT is going round to console her...... just as friends mind you, nothing improper going on honestly!
Cheers, Dakey

Dakey, you have to laugh!! I have known George for years, and it is so nice to hear him commenting about Barcelona in such glowing terms, only a couple of seasons since he was commenting about them being terrible cheats, with all of UEFA, and the refs on their side, and they were the most hated side he had (almost more so than he hates United now that we have knocked them out of the Champions League and taken our other trophy back home!)
As for "supporting them in the local taverna", he is actually back in the UK that weekend, staying at mine til the Friday and then running off to hide in case we win!! Sorry George, but can't let you get away with trying to wind up a fellow United fan!!

Ted,
George strikes me as the typical fair weather supporter, happy as larry when things are hunky dorry, but bitter and twisted when the vulgar unearned income fails to come up with the goods. Blooming eck mate, I know us reds are a compassionate bunch of chaps but actually putting him up for a spell in your home? have you gone mad.
Dave,
Nice win, odds on for third now, parading the FA cup, BUT!!! even allowing for a shortage of Stoke fans 45,106 bums on seats. Now let me see..... Stoke did not sell their allocation....there was a bus and train strike...... bomb scare..... fans were still in London celebrating.... parents evening..... majority of fans on nightshift.......
There mate, I have given you a few excuses to go at, The last home match of the season, just won the FA cup, chance to go third and Qualify outright for the Champions League AND STILL THE STADIUM IS NOT FULL!!!! Could it just be something that you will not admit, that you simply do not have enough fans to fill the rented house!

Dave,
I wonder if Sir Alex will give Berbatov a rare run out this weekend so he can attempt to hold off the challenge of Citys superstar striker, the mercurial Tevez for the coveted premier league golden boot top scorer award. Or put another way, lets see if Utds incumbant reserve striker can hold off our previous reserve strikers challenge for that award.
Cheers, Dakey

Consistency !
Sir Alex CHARGED for praising an official
Tony Pulis WARNED for praising an official
Carlo Ancelotti WARNED for praising an official
Those clowns at the FA take some beating - victimise the most successful club in English football history because they hate to see success in this country unless its in the South...
