Major factors re dismal world cup.

Gerard [ and thats from a blue ]
Now surround them with ordinary Premiership players, like Heskey, Glen Johnson and we have no chance.
Gareth Barry was never fit enough, and that showed yesterday, when if him and Johnson had done the obvious thing and commited fouls [ and taken a booking ] early in the moves leading to the 3rd and 4th goals, we may not have conceded
Do the likes of Wenger or Abravomich give a stuff about England ? They therefore draft in to many foreigners, which is great to watch in the Premiership, but useless for our National side.
And lastly we always overexpect, and then are surprised when we are found out. Lets be honest, watching England early in the tournament was like waiting for an accident to happen, and it certainly did yesterday.

Couldn't have put it better myself, but never mind if you lot didn't qualify us scots would have nothing to laugh about when you so spectacularly get thumped by the Germans.
Hubby was nearly in tears yesterday, switched telly off after Germany scored their 4th goal.

I watched the game in a fairly full clover on Sunday. Thought they should have thrown another ball on at times cos that one seemed to belong to the German Strikers!!!!! That young Jerome Boateng looks a belter.
Only halfway through the last 16 games and every united player is off on his holidays. We still have six of the chappies in attendance. I still might get my last 4 of Brazil, Argies, Dutch and our Espana.

Hi Dave,
You are right about the City players, unfortunately the best ones still there are ones you have loaned out. Pity you did not keep them at eastlands you may have finished better than mid table if you had. Gareth Barry and SWP are city players as well are they not? If they can get a game I am digging my boots out of the loft, I would give Barry 10 yards in 50 right now and I am 53!
Explain to the masses again Dave, just what are your tenuous links to our cousins in bonny Scotland?

WEATHER WARNING - the whole of England will experience severe flooding this week - this is due to the whole of Scotland ******* themselves laughing !
Seriously though, if that was my team, I'd rather put out a team of half decent championship players that would at least play with a bit of heart , soul and effort than that lot - they, and in particular young Rooney, looked liked they would rather be on a beach than playing in a competition that is supposed to define their careers. Well maybe it did - over rated, over paid ???

I will let you have the last word on that Dave, just this once, as I am in a good mood after watching my adopted country Brazil coast through. The game against Holland will be a classic encounter, cant wait for it! Have you played the course yet Dave, when are you out again? We are over on 10th August, me and Ryan have booked a game with the society on friday 13th. [I have filled my card in already, 38 points should just about nick it] only joking fellas. If you are over then Dave you can play also, as long as we go out last you will not be holding anyone up behind us.

Course looks wonderful. Used pratice area again. Couldn't play being only driver for wife mum in law and lad. Hope to be back over in September. My lad Luke and his mate are over from 8th for a week. I'll tell him to call on you. I'm off to Joburg on the 8th july for the final, back home for 2 weeks then going to see City play Inter Milan in Baltimore. Need to have a game soon.
Went to Mazzaron after the England game lots of Argies watchin in the bars??? Some pretty big Argie flags hanging from the blocks of flats?
Don't think we've seen the best of Spain yet. They need to up a gear now.

I am still gutted, We played out a dismal draw in the middle of the group stages against a really really crap team..... I am almost ashamed to call myself Algerian!
And Rob Green must be one of the few Englishmen ever to return from Africa without catching anything.

I have always thought that Roy Hodgson was a good football Manager, He is not, however, a Magician as far as I am aware, but he will need to be to turn that lot into anything like a decent football team.

When you think about it, It must be really difficult when you have only a basic grasp of pigeon English, trying to make yourself understood in and around the England squad.......... Thats why, personally I would not select any scousers!!

The only good news this summer is we've brought the OLD CLOCKEND clock back inside the ground and put it up above the the south end of the stadium. Hope it securely fixed above them spurs fans eh

Now it is all over and before we realign into our tribal mode ready for the new season, Is it not fitting that in a long season where the English silverware was settled mainly by diabolical refereeing decisions, that the Worlds biggest International competition should be decided by an English Premier League Referee in the same manner. How Howard Webb could have missed the deflection off the wall and give a goal kick instead of a corner to Holland, then seconds later wave play on when perfectly placed to see a blatant "sandwich" foul on the Dutch winger, I will never know! Having witnessed the total ineptitude of these officials all season you just knew that Spain were then going to break up the other end and score the winner and just because the Dutch employed thuggish tactics, it does not make it right to lose to mistakes like that. You would hope that the refs will watch the videos and learn from it, but I for one will not be betting on it!
Anyway fellas, bring it on, are we ready to rumble!!

Anyone ready for the new season lads. I know Dakey is over at Condado just now winning golf prizes?? I should have got his predictions last week. Mancini will have a job keeping all our lot happy unless we just keep winning........ Dan, any good pubs on road up from seven sisters on saturday morning??? Lets have a few of your predictions lads. Blackpool to stay up? Geordies to finish above Mackems. Arsenal to stop playing prettiest footy and actually win somethin? Wenger to start actually seeing incidents against his team? Doesn't seem to be a lot of love for O'neil at Villa.
If anyone sees my lad in the Clover on Friday, tell him he can't stay out till 6 in the morning, he's got City to watch in Kennellys with the 2 red mates he's took over ha ha.
