Sometimes you get asked things like, " where were you on the day Kennedy was assasinated? " or where were you when Mandela was released?" you get the gist, defining moments in time. In 20 years time you will be asked " where were you on the weekend of the 6th/7th Feb 2010, the weekend when the tide of the season turned inescapably towards Man Utds march to a record breaking fourth title on the spin and record 19th in total"
The pressure is relentlessly being cranked up and cranked up. The big question is will Chelsea respond or will they falter when the heat is on like normal.
Come on you Gooners!
Cheers Dakey
[ PS, Mancini the messiah? doesent it just make you chuckle! ]

Hi Lewjesdan,
Congratulations on a pretty comprehensive win against the perpetual underachievers. I am happy in a way as it has given us all something to look forward to in the final couple of months instead of you all battling it out for second place.
The situation is now crystal clear, only two teams have it in their own hands and do not need help from others, although as it stands we would have to match your results and then beat you up at Old Trafford. one thing I would say is that it is not the big games where Chelsea struggle as you have had your fair share of wins against us, Arsenal and Liverpool. No, it is against the small provincial clubs like Hull, Burnley, Man City and Everton where you come unstuck and that will make the difference in the end.
Anyhow, I look forward to the challenge, best of luck and may the best team come out on top [As long as it is Utd!]
Cheers Dakey

Dakey, what sort of a recption do you have in mind for Mr & Mrs Beckham next week & what about Mr Mourinho (your next manager some would say) -
I think Moyes has now put himself out of the running with some appalling tactical decisions against the scum on Saturday - we had them by the goolies after the Greek got sent off, and it was obvious to a blind man on a galloping horse that Saha needed help up front and at that time he should have put Yak on to put the heat on their defence, instead he swopped Felli with a still to be fit Arteta, Howard flapped at the corner letting 'fly yer kite' in and the steam went out of us altogether; Then he left it far too late for Yak and Victor to do anything - absolutely bewildering !!!!! for once I blame Moysey, now our only hope of saving the season is the UEFA cup - I'll keep the faith tho

Jeb,
Calling Everton a small provincial club was tongue in cheek for a chuckle, I meant it about City though. I nearly put my house on Everton to beat liverpool on Saturday, but for some reason and I do not know the answer you just cannot buy a result or a performance against them no matter how poorly they have been playing. it must be frustrating the hell out of you. From my point of view I am just a little bit pleased with Liverpools mini revival, Hopefully it will revive the Rafa loyalty thing and they wont get rid of him after all. That will then mean they will not be a threat for at least another year. All we need then is for City to give Mancini £200 million to waste like Mark Hughes did and life just could not get any better.
Cheers Dakey

like you I thought we would absolutely trounce them but for whatever reason we just did not show up in the 2H ?????? Share your sentiments on the bearded one - this has to be the worst L'Pool squad in my living memory and I have many 'Pool mates that say the same - they tried to kick us off the park from the first minute (Carragher on Pienaar) and really have little guile about them. Gerrard was quiet on Saturday and I truly believe if he gets an offer from Barca or Real he will be off like a shot and that will be it for them - they are broke and their new stadium is is a bigger pipedream than ours ever was ! As Moyes said they will have to live on a transfer budget similar to ours from now now - you can add them to the small provincial list . my son in law was at your game v Portsmouth yesterday and was ecstatic ! Two horse race after today's result.

I am just sat here watching GMTV and something strange has become evident. They have just played an interview with Roberto Mancini and do you know what his response to losing at Hull has been, Get the team in for extra training? no. Drop half the team for underperforming? no. I will tell you what he has done, he has dyed his hair! When he arrived he had a thick mane of grey hair, now there is hardly a grey hair in sight. That must be very comforting to all you suffering City fans, your new manager is more worried about his vanity then the teams failings. I must admit though, the goings on at the Eastlands Council House these days are better entertainment than Celebrity Big Brother House, although unfortunately not on the pitch!
Cheers, Dakey

yes yes yes yyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssss
Moyes redeemed himself last night with a wonderful, skillful, fighting display from the team against Chelski - one can only wonder what position in the table we would have been had it not been for the most horrendous run of injuries in EPL history - now he has most of the squad fit and available we can take anyone on !
Next up - a still wobbly MANU (will have to watch that Rooney boy though and get past Master Evans), Sporting and a a dizzy Spurs team (they are not used to the heights they have reached and a looking down now) - can't wait !!!!

Jeb,
I posted a little while back that Chelsea would blow it against the likes of, among others, Everton and that is exactly what happened. You are calling us wobbly and I agree to a certain extent but we are getting better and stronger by the game. Last night we played a full hour with ten men against a strong Villa team and completely dominated the game. I am afraid we will show Chelsea how to grind out a result at places like Goodison Park against a team full of confidence. One final point, It is good to see Saha stay fit and produce what he is capable of, he was one of my favourite players at O/T but for whatever reason we just could not keep him fit.
We, like you, are getting key players back and fit and as you know that can make all the difference in the world.
Cheers Dakey

I was not sure which thread to post this on, I was going to put it in "Jokes Please" as Man City fans are really just that and more. After 34 years of nothing they get lucky with a rich [ but obviously stupid ] benefactor willing to bankroll a bid for the top that bears no resemblance to their actual standing in the football world and what happens? A gradual fall in the gate culminating in yesterdays pathetic 28,000 attendance including thousands of Stoke fans, in the last competition they have any interest in! I mean, we get more than that Queuing up for hotdogs.
The Worlds richest club[sic] compared to the club with the so called biggest debt, the positions of each club must make Sir Alex one hell of a manager, imagine what he could do with a few bob to spend!
cheers Dakey
