Chaddy,
They will probably give him another season, but he cannot complain if he is binned, he took last years runaway champions, spent £60 million plus and has took us so far backwards we are just a dot in the footballing distance. Mind you, if we are talking failure we need look no further than Audrey who has at least matched Moyes incompetence stride for stride. At least Moyes for all his failings knew the number of goals needed to win the CL group.

Looks like the Glazers have lost patience with Moyes as well as me. He's been given a season and taken us backwards. As my wife said today "they could have put a monkey in charge and he'd have done better". I've stuck by him all season as I support the club and that means the manager whoever it is. However, we're at a crossroads - he either goes now or is given another season. Interesting times. George - on your earlier post re-officials... I agree. I said at the start of the season that too many games are decided by officials being inconsistent week to week. There is so little to choose between the top clubs in the PL now that it can make the difference. Sadly, we need more than a few decisions to go our way to compete at the moment! Good luck to Chelsea this week. I hope they do okay really but I rather like the prospect of an Athletico v Real final!

I am getting bored with this now, will he go will he be reprieved, then monday night football. Surprise surprise City are 1-0 up and West Brom score a perfectly good goal disallowed by Harry Dowds son and cronies for offside. Now how many times have we seen decisions like that in Citys favour this year?
I keep harping on about it but have you EVER seen a more empty quiet stadium for a team still going for the title? It is a joke club and the attendance will be given as 47,000 plus mark my words. I wonder when the expansion is complete if they will give 62,000 as the attendance irrespective of what we are seeing.

Dakey I think the extension has already happened. Talk sport said the attendance was announced as 57,000! Just looking at the table and see that if City win their remaining games and Chelsea beat the Scousers at the weekend they could win it on goal difference again. However, they look a mid table team without Silva and HaHa.

Kev,
Sunderland and West brom at home was supposed to be a nailed on 6 points, not the paltry ref assisted 3 points they actually got. You would expect them to win the home games in the rarified atmosphere of a near empty ground, Everton and Palace away probably without some of their stellar players is a different kettle of fish so not much chance of a miracle there then. I just wonder if Audrey will come under the same sort of pressure as Moyes for his own abject failure this season. Dont forget that City dont have Utds tendancy to support their managers after sacking Mancini following PL and FA cup wins. Talk about getting above your station!

Official attendance last night at the Etihad, 46,158. The 1,000 plus empty seats have been explained as West Brom not selling their allocation. That is the official line. Visually, The away section was probably the fullest section in the ground. This is a ridiculous state of affairs, I know clubs count sold season tickets as attendance, but just click the turnstiles and do a head count to give accurate actual attendance figures. It looks like other clubs season ticket holders let family anf friends use their tickets if they dont go. The problem at City is that there are practically no other City fans to pass the ticket on to. If the season ticket holder doesnt go and there appears to be thousands of them, then the seat remains empty because there are no more fans fuill stop!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. The chosen one has failed. Time to choose another one. What's happened to sticking by your managers / 6 year contracts etc etc. Your new woodywood pecker chairman will be the death of you lot as a force. I've heard he's a real ego maniac and nobody likes him apart from Rooney obviously!!! He's the one I want to stay at utd for a long time. Jay ;)

George,
Just informed Jose who is in my apartment to give Neil in the Clover 55 euros for you to do with as you please in settlement of our little wager that Moyes would last at least 2 years. Enjoy mate. The one condition I have is that you dont buy Chaddy a drink!! (lol)
Although I gave Moyes my backing, I cannot be upset that he has been turfed. It has been established that managing our great club is not a easy task, so they had better spend a bit of time and get this next one right....... one thing is certain though, the outgoing manager will NOT be choosing his successor this time!!

Old ground my friend....we have underperformed whilst going through the biggest self funded total infrastructure change that any MAJOR club has undertaken in the British football history. Managed to reach a champs league final and two domestic finals but more importantly maintained our top 4 status and champions league participitation through out within my opinion our weakest ever squads for 20 years. Yes we should and could of won more but stability during this arduous period has been key.
Now I too want a change at the top but I'll match your bet with the chavski George that if and when we change our manager it won't be for a dithering tw*t and we'll maintain our place at the top table mate.
Like I have said before the issues at your gaff stem from the top and it's woodywood pecker/the DG's that you need to focus on.

Chaddy,
Well that is the Moysiah gone, I wonder how many more games the owners will give Audrey? Ever dwindling gates, nowhere near the big pots, highest paid sports squad ever in the history of sport. That is a dire assessment of his first year, Mancini got the chop for a lot less mate and dont forget that Dalgliesh got binned at Liverpool after winning the league cup..... because that little trinket counts for nothing in the big picture. I have told George not to buy you a drink until I receive a heartfelt genuine apology for you bad mouthing me, my mate Kev and our wonderful football club!

Jay,
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. lets imagine that Moyes was never here so there is no precedent to act as a warning. Lets then just say that Arsen starts to win things again for a few years and eventually retires a hero and recommends his replacement to the board. That board which have bowed to his every whim for 2 decades would almost certainly appoint his pick........... That is what has happened at Utd, the board have accepted Sir Alexs recommendation without question or scrutiny. The outcome is that the executives at all the big clubs will learn that lesson and know that great managers do not necessarily make good judges on replacements so to that end we have actually done everyone a big favour and the process for selecting managers will be much more professional from now on I would think.
