Jay, you do realise the same manager was in charge when you gave everyone the "head start".
Manager of the year: Pardew - if NewCastle get 3rd or 4th
Don't know if he's eligible but possibly Matteo - if Chelsea win FA Cup and CL (only short stint but changed them from losers to winners)
Really most teams have underperformed this year
Utd/City - need the league to salvage the season
Arsenal - kidding themselves the season has finished well but only because they played so average in in large parts and never threatened to win anything
Chelsea - never threatened in the league but might salvage things with CL win
Liverpool - bizarrely may end up with more trophies than anyone but awful in league
Spurs - overachieved but then may end up outside CL spots

See I knew you agree in the end George. It's funny because I voted for AVB a chelski legend appointed by a football genius who relies purely on his football acumen and never resorts to having to spend his way to the lofty position of 6th Hilarious

Mmm intersting jay- so you think we finish 6th. or maybe not as i didnt think the season had finished yet- oh sorry -it has for you ages ago-lol
However you probably dont know but we have a few more intersting games to come. win or lose i dont care - this season has exceeded my wildest dreams after such a poor end of autumn!
But well done arsenal for the first time in 7 years you will end up as top london club!

Lads,
This is brilliant, I have spent most of the season trying to goad you all out to play and now you have you have all turned on each other and largely left me alone. In the very unlikely event that we fail on monday, I am prepared for it all to turn back on me. You have to take the stick if you give it out and I will take it in good humour if it happens.
Jay, over the last 12 games or so we are top of the form league, so while we may have faltered a little against Wigan and Everton to give the bitters a squeak, we also put in a mercurial effort to rein them in when it looked like they had it sewn up. Thats why mondays game is billed as a classic. You say you are looking forward to next season, but what happens when your top players jump ship again in the summer? another disastrous opening couple of months followed by good football playing with no pressure as you will have nothing to play for again. Its the same old story year on year.

They were massive slip ups against everton and Wigan and whilst your run was ok it was more down to citeh's failings that utd managed to overhaul them.
Only time will tell whether the recent bad performances by utd will prove telling but either way it's made you sweat and that's no bad thing.
I have it on good hand that we'll definitely be stronger next year with our captain and double winning player of season set to re-sign, podolski in the bag and the best English midfielder in the premiership set to return after injury. One thing is definite we won't give any you's a two month head start like this year.
Cheers

Jay,
Citys failings letting us back in, our failings letting them back in, whatever, Utd and City are on a different planet to Arsenal and as for two month head start, dont you mean 7 year head start!!! and counting

Planet arrogance and planet sugar daddy are both severely overrated! And next year will prove it! Admittedly a badly managed summer has cost us this time. Roll on financial fair play and then we'll see who's best equipped eh? Even you know your fortunate this year with Evra, Evans, tweedle dee & dum and the ageing drug test avoider you lot better get out there do some more remortgaging yet again otherwise those cracks will become gaping chasms! Jay,
Why do we have to remortgage? we buy top players, pay top wages and service the debt that our owner was allowed to put us in by the spineless FAs' so called "fit and proper person" vetting committee and all that from our earned income. NO-ONE is giving us a PENNY PEICE! We welcome the fair play rules that will limit the amount 'sugar daddies' can invest in their clubs, the sooner the better and god help the rest of you when we eventually pay off our owners debt.

Dakey Always your Achilles that one mate. Mind you to be fair if my club was sold to a bunch of sheisters like the glaziers and then financed the way utd have been it would more than annoy me too. Still they'll probably come up with another nice scheme to whore em out again and get you lot to pay for it all over again within the new rules. They will never leave that cash cow until you're rinsed out. Jay

Jay,
You are correct there mate, it annoys the shit out of me, I suppose it could be worse, we could be owned by those con artists and not be winning anything as well! Believe it or not we have been more successful on the field under the Glazers than any other owners in our history. Something is not quite right there.

Football first mate every time. There's no doubting it them wrong'ns have presided over a very good time for your lot. So if I was utd fan it would make me think is it could be the way forward but being old Skool like all us on here it just don't sit right does it. I promise that ain't a slant on your mob but just a viewpoint from a proper football fan. Maybe we all got to accept the way it rolls but too be honest I find it very difficult and it ain't about the lack trophies believe me!!! Jay

George, playing a lot better, I grant you, but still getting the breaks eh! First goal, Lampard offside interfering with Kennys view and second goal Terry holding down the Centre half stopping him jumping. after that no contest. I hope we get a few 'breaks' like that tonight instead of decisions going against us like usual!

dakey,
best you get howard webb to referee
then itll be 12 against 11
a bit like at sb when you got 2 of the worst penalty decisions i have ever seen
you are amazing dakey, no breaks, youre having a laugh|!

George,
Unlike you mate I look at things objectively not with no personal bias and that objectivity tells me that for every dodgy decision we get for us there are 2 or 3 against us and that is my biggest fear tonight, no worries about our abilty to beat them as we have done it twice already this season including one at the Etihad. It is referees clangers that are the biggest fear and I would think Dave and the other bluenoses would echo that from their side as well.

Always hate contoversial ref decisions Dakey. Quite right you won at our place in cup with 2 of the biggest howler ref performances ever seen. Agree with George and Bobby Manc, one team seems to get a lot more than the fair share of them
Getting nicely excited now. Hope we both turn it into a fantastic spectical. As one of us did at O.T.
Tevez to score a couple????? It was just written wasn't it
I think it was Shane that said more twists and turns still to come. The fat lady has sat back down at the moment and I for one am dead chuffed about that.

I knew that would get you at it lads, just cranking it up a bit. Dave, been on this poxy floating platform for 6 weeks out of the last 7 and Woody has gone home to go to the game, so at least I wont have him in my earhole if things go tits up. Cid Hanvey just emailed me to confirm he was coming on our pubs golf weekend to Wales in May. He tells me that you have invited him on Midas' 4 man golf team with Sean Salter and AN other on 21st june. Tell Sean thanks for remembering his old buddy, I could have made it, if invited, it only coincides with my 40th wedding anniversary so I had nothing particularly important going on.

Well Fellas,
I will be the first on to congratulate you City lads, You just about deserved it on the night, but helped by one of the great ones unfathomable team selections. Valencia and Wellbeck left on the bench for Park!! Now his whole game was based on fitness and a couple of years ago he could put in a good shift, but he has not played all year, is not match fit and should not have been anywhere near a game like that. That though is Utds problem not Citys' and your lads got the job done. The worst thing boys though is to think it is all over, there may yet be another final twist to this tale! In the meantime, enjoy.
