If you apply that logic elsewhere you come up with " if you give enough City managers enough money one of them will eventually sign a good player"

Rooney has said that Moyes must back him by refuting fergies statement that he had asked for a transfer. He asked fergie if the fact that he was leaving him out for the big games then taking him off in others meant he had lost faith in him and if so would it be better if he left the club. I think that given the managers treatment of him then that was a reasonable enough question to ask. I think that rooney is furious with fergie for turning that into a "transfer request" and he is now looking for support from the new manager. If he gets it he will stay if not he will leave and inevitably take a step down, no matter who he signs for.

Big bets apparently going on for a Rooney move to Real Madrid. That could make them a force again if Ronaldo stays there. I think the most interesting thing about Moysie becoming a devil will be an he he spend the big bucks wisely. We shall see.

I think it is well known in football circles that the bitters will need divine intervention from Jesus to have any chance of ending among the trophies this coming season......... I don't think that an average winger from a small provincial club in Spain is quite the Jesus that people had in mind!!!

Subtle difference but a whole different sentence by virtue of answering the question he asked Fergie.
Rooney has been a lightweight most of the 2012/13 season and certainly should not have been on the pitch for the last quater of it due to his demeanor and lack of effort.

I have said that Evra needs replacing as a full back for a few years now as the defensive side of his game has gone to pot. for a full back he never marks his winger and never ever puts a tackle in. however I am not sure Baines is the answer, like Evra he is good going forward but seems dodgy to me in his defensive work and he is not as fast as Evra so I am not 100% sure about him, and at £12 million for someone of his age?
I see the Argie rat has left the sinking ship! but for me the more worrying aspect for City is the new manager wanted to take Isco with him from Malaga to City and the player has opted for another club. It comes to something when one of your players would rather play for somebody else and on less money than come and play for you again! I predict that is just the start of the problems at the Emptihad under the new regime.

Ian told me he was buying you beer all night while you discussed my cat problem. for the benefit of others a cat (with a collar on) has produced a litter of 4 kittens who are living inside my patio sofa. Mileniun despite repeated requests have basically washed their hands of it and left it to us. Chaddy, your solution of a strategically placed baseball bat is a bit draconian so I have told him to get the BBQ going and close his eyes and they taste like chicken. Ian is going to camposol today to their equiv of the RSPCA to see if they can help, but I still think it is Mileniuns responsibility to remove them so I am going to email them again and blast them over it.
