Dave,
lets have a bit of fun, lets just think of a random figure, any figure and try and guess what it is. Here goes, off the top of my head 74,788 now what can that be.... I wonder, you could quite rightly be justifed in thinking it was the Annual attendance figures at Eastlands but you would be wrong. You could also be forgiven for thinking it was the number of weeks since you placed a trophy in your cabinet... very close but wrong again. there are any number of things it could be but if you said to me it was someones home attendance for a fifth round FA Cup tie against NON LEAGUE opposition I would suggest respectfully, that you went for a check up as you would obviously be losing your marbles, that scenario is just an impossible one to envisage..... isnt it?!!!!
Cheers, Dakey

Jay,
What can we say? if you cannot close out the deal on the tinpot cup what chance have you got in the big ones. You have to be fair, Birmingham thoroughly deserved the win, you should have been a goal and man down after a few minutes. These poxy linesmen make me laugh, all they get paid to do is look along a line of defenders when a pass is made and I know that there is some close calls where it is difficult, but Bowyer was two yards onside, it was not even close! We got away with Vidic not being sent off against Villa in a previous final but you have not been that lucky. Anyway mate I hope you dont end up like the Bitters in Manchester and have Spurs fans with a banner rolling on every year that you dont win a trophy. You have got some way to go yet though, our banner is rolling on to 36!, Mind you they are improving....holding Fulham to a draw is no mean feat.
Just to finish, our squeaky bum time is upon us, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal away next not to mention the Champions league in between, bring it on boys!
Cheers, Dakey

Well Fellas
Where to begin eh?
A massive congratualtions to Birmingham City. Well done to you all, you made a great start and all of the Birmingham players gave a 110%. There were stages in the 2nd half when the Arsenal were virtually camped in the Blues half but could just not open the door. Foster pulled off some good saves and in the end......the mistake of the season so far......what can you say but on things like that are finals won and lost!! The Gooners need to find that winning mentality within but I'm having my doubts if I'm honest if it's in their belly's!! Tatically I do think Wenger should of played Nasri in the middle in the Fabregas role but hey ho its all irrelevant now.
RVP and Theo are out for 3-4 weeks respectively which leaves our games coming up against the Maccam's and Barca not to mention the O's a little light up front and with cesc stuggling to get back it all echoes of last year a bit too much for my liking.
Now Nick & Dakey did Rooney deserve to get his marching orders against Wigan or what? What is wrong with him? He's a loose cannon it appears to me and whilst Arsenal could certainly do with a little more gumption in certain areas I think rooney's behavior on and off the pitch this year is disgusting. He's going too far and is out of control. Maybe tonights result against chelski is little bit of that action coming back to bite ya! End result is that it is squeeky bum time and by looks of it squealing time as well. Utd were not happy at the end tonight and maybe just maybe its gonna be game on from now! The ref got it wrong big time tonight in chelski's favour as the ref did on saturday in UTD's thats the way it goes.
Football is still mad!

Fellas,
Dont anyone go on to me about Refs favouring Utd, rooneys elbow, etc, etc, That is three league games on the spin now that these poxy officials have gifted the points to Chelsea and it is getting beyond a joke. How many deliberate bodychecks do you have to do before you get a second yellow card? and the pundits are saying that Smalling stuck out a leg for the penalty. I must be going blind as I have watched it about one hundred times and he never moves a muscle. in fact I thought someone had thrown the magic boomerang! Atkinson was standing 5 yards away looking straight at it when Rooney was bodychecked and gives nothing. he was also five yards away from Smallings 'challenge' and sees a penalty! The words 'bent as a nine bob note' spring to mind. On the bright side, when we win the league no one will be able to say we were gifted it by officials scared to give a decision against us.
Cheers, Dakey

Jay,
Anyone with any sense could not argue that Rooney deserved a red card, however, we cannot be responsible for Clattenberg having no bottle. He was adament that he was correct even in the face of overwhelming evidence, so we got away with that one. What I find a bit difficult to stomach is these ongoing decisions at crucial times in games against Chelsea that keep gifting them the points. Ruiz clearly did chico off the ball, the ref was looking at it and no yellow card. Ruiz then moves sideways about 2 yards to block rooney, the ref is looking at it from 5 yards and again no second yellow. Two minutes later Smalling moves about a milimetre, barely any contact and Atkinsons suddenly develops 20/20 vision, sees a foul and bingo, penalty. No wonder Fergie is questioning his integrity, because so am I. This is the same ref that in the fixture last year, gives a non existant foul against fletcher and from the resulting free-kick ignores a rugby tackle on Wes Brown and again Bingo, 1-0 to Chelsea. I may be ranting a bit but in the last four games against Chelsea, the three league defeats by a single goal have all been courtesy of highly debatable decisions, the only fixture without any controversial calls was the community shield and it is no coincidence that was a walk in the park for us.
It has made it very interesting now though Jay and we could do with the customary Arsenal stutter to kick in sometime soon.
Cheers, Dakey

Well Fellas,
No complaints this week, even though Carragher should have walked it would have made no difference, Liverpool were streets ahead of us in every dept, in fact they are beginning to remind me of City, when the only games they seem to commit to are against Utd and then get beat by lower teams the week after. Its a good job the gunners are so inconsistant otherwise we are in trouble, in fact Chelsea and City seem to be creeping back in to it as well. One thing is for sure we are going to have to produce a whole lot better then that if we are to hold off the pack, anyhow it makes it interesting to say the least.
Cheers, Dakey

Alright Dakey
I think you, me and everybody else knows whatever arsenal do at the moment your bang in trouble regardless!!
We had a real battle with a very spirited Sunderland team. However another two seriously DISGUSTING decisions yet again cost the us the full compliment of points. Unbelievable on one hand but totally predictable on the other. Is there actually a good ref out there currently..,, you tell me?
It really is game on with West Brom and Blackburn next!
Have a good week
Jay

Jay,
You are correct, we are bang in trouble, but we have one thing in our favour and contrary to popular opinion it most definately is not referees! it is our legendary resilience that has been honed at the club over a long time, that sees us react to adversity. With Sir Alexs' media blackout brought on by bias refs and the reporting of, then it is obvious that he is trying to draw on a siege mentallity to get a response from the players. Anyway, the little matter of cup games to sort out first!
Cheers, Dakey
