Smivs,
The start you were handed was a nailed on guaranteed 12 points from 4 games with a massive goal difference to boot. That little dream has evaporated with your mauling in sunny Wales to a team posting their first top flight win in nearly half a century and with the mercurial Jo-k-e Hart between the sticks then I wouldnt be certain of anything if I were you.

The champions have been left red-faced after a joint £42m bid for Daniele De Rossi and Ander Herrera was rejected out of hand.
Boss David Moyes turned to the duo after losing patience with Everton when his former club turned down an improved offer of £36m for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini.
But Athletic Bilbao snubbed United's offer for Herrera when president Jose Urritia revealed the Spanish star had a buy-out clause in his contract for £30m.
To make matters worse for Moyes, it also emerged that Italian international De Rossi snubbed a move to Old Trafford - even though Roma are willing to sell him.
It remains to be seen if United will meet the clause in Herrera's deal but the latest snub is a huge blow to Moyes.
He has suffered a summer of frustration and the clock is now ticking as he looks to bring some fresh faces in before the transfer window closes on Monday.
His pursuits of Cesc Fabregas, Baines and Fellaini have all come to nothing.
And Thiago Alcantara also snubbed him, in favour of joining Bayern Munich from Barcelona.
Supporters have been left staggered by the fact the reigning English champions have failed to lure any of their targets to Manchester before the new season started.

George mate,
Dont believe everything you read in the papers, We never bid for Alcantara and never showed any interest in him. We will not be held to ransom by clubs just because we are Utd, just like Fergies era. We bid what we think a player is worth, sometimes we increase the bid slightly but thats it, if the deal doesnt happen so be it. What we wont do is buy up dozens of similar average players for no apparant reason like yourselves and the bitters seem to do. Monday cant come quick enough for me as I will take great pleasure winning the league again with what we have in the face of Hundreds of millions of pounds spent by Chelsea, City and now Spurs trying to buy the thing.

Not as embarrassed as if we'd done what Chelsea and City would have ie offered 90 million rather than 30. The difference is we're not desperate - you are. I suggest Chelsea and City fans focus on solving all their own problems rather than trying to manufacture any for the greatest club in English football history. Lets not forget you were that scared coming to OT last Monday that you played without a striker and parked Jose's bus. The sheer fear of playing us was evident.
Smivs - did you miss last weeks result or have you the memory of a goldfish?
latest comment from a neutral BBC observer at the Emptihad - "Manchester United boss David Moyes is in the stands at the Etihad - his side come here in the middle of September. From what he has seen so far, he probably isn't too worried."

Well done City on squeaking past HULL CITY at home who apparently were unlucky. All you sunshine boys out there must be really cocky after beating the mighty Hull and Newcastle at home but losing to the well fancied CARDIFF CITY away (giving them there first top flight win in 50 years) hah hah

£110 million vs £0
Who's your money on??
Assuming the society rate has not changed too much!! 38 points George....nearly works out a euro a point which is far better return than Torres £1.5 million per goal ratio. Well done mate.
I predict the mickey mousers to do well today.

Bloody Hell fellas,
I thought I had logged on to the thread in the wrong position, I remember just over a year ago and we had just lost 1-0 in Liverpool, but to the other team. We were absymal that day and there was delirium on here with you all getting excited and predicting doom and gloom. Same result today although the performance was a bit better than last years effort and hey presto, you are all out in force again with basically the same old comments. Now last year I said that we would be top after 10 games and got ridiculed and guess what? we were top after 10 games and we all know what transpired after that, so much so that half the blue mooners have chucked it in and dont post anymore. Due to the great man throwing it in I will be a bit more conservative this time around and although I think it will be 10 games again I will err on the side of caution, after studying the fixtures carefully I will say 12 games this year to get to the pinnacle again. Watch this space boys as I will be reminding you of this post.
