George,
The last ten years he has bankrolled you to a position in complete contrast to your actual size and status as a football club. He may yet stay another 10 years, but is he willing to put in the same level of financial support? All I am saying is if not, then you will soon be in big trouble

Well on the same subject, Eufa has confirmed that 76 clubs will have their finances scrutinised under the FFP rules by an independant expert panel. Punishments will start to be handed down in april with the more serious offences by June with the strong possibility of European bans...... So thats it then, Next year, Arsenal, liverpool, Spurs, Everton or Utd will fill the CL places while City and Chelsea begin long bans from European football.

Looks like squeakey bum time is catching up with you, I hope I am wrong but you look shot. Chelsea look favourites now, I know the bitters have a couple of games in hand but experience tells us that the points in the bag are more important at this stage. I wouldnt write the Scousers off either with their strike force clicking big style at the moment.
COME ON YOU MACKEM UTD ex pats

well lads the pl table is looking very good this morning but i must say with no pl distractions lpool are right in there. man city will make up lost ground and once outt of the cl will be favs again soon
on another note dakey i bet you 100 euros, you cna make it 1000 if you want that chelsea will be in the cl next year and manure will be in either the europa league or playing friendlies in the far east. i think i know a bit more about the finances at cfc than you, after all how many of your recent predictions have come true. only 1 , moosehead is still in a job- lmfao.

George,
I think I put Chelsea in there for mischief. all your financial misdemeanors took place years ago and compared to City you are relatively settled and coupled with raking in some big transfer fees you should be ok. Your problem will come when you have to replace your big players with big wages and transfer fees if the owner cannot/will not contribute. City on the other hand are a different kettle of fish, They have no big transfer fees incoming as no one will pay the fees and wages for the players they want to get rid of, indeed they are still paying big wages for loaned out players who refuse to move on. Once Uefa unravel their intricate finanacial dealings and realise that it is all the owners money in one form or another then the only logical conclusion is a very long ban from European football as a salutory lesson for other small clubs with ideas above their station.

Before we all get a bit euphoric for scraping a win with a couple of fluke goals and misses for the mackems that would have sealed it, I have 5 words to say..... Wigan, Newcastle, Leicester, West Ham and Sunderland. Citys opponents in the cup run and the highest ranked team in that lot is ninth in the PL...... hardly the stuff of legends eh?
Who am I to be objective pointing out those facts, so congatulations to City for a 'Fabulous' cup run.

Ha! I remember when Dakey use to refer to City fans as Bitters! Fair play to Sunderland, they played some terrific stuff, more than Manure would have done, had they reached the final...but they got beat by Sunderland!

City,
with a name like that no wonder you dont surface much. We actually beat Sunderland 1-0 after 90 minutes and 2-1 after 120.....pity about the first game and the penalties.
If somebody said to me prior to it starting that city would draw two lower league clubs and 3 bottom half PL clubs then I would say give them the pot now and dont waste everyones time. There is little merit in beating the teams you have done to win it, you had harder draws in the johnstones paint trophy. Lets see how it finishes in the league and CL when you have to meet better teams, then you can crow about things.

We know our fledgling manager is having a rough time of it, but he retains his dignity in interviews, unlike Audrey over the road. As if its not bad enough looking like Audrey Roberts and then forgetting how many goals are needed to win your Champions league group, forget all that, but to give a live interview just after you have won a trophy and say how much you enjoy the pressure of managing a BIG club.... like Manchester United! Bloody hell, he is a walking disaster area. but funny with it.

dakey will love this- long way for a curry!
Six Manchester City fans turned up at Wembley for their League Cup final win over Sunderland with tickets for the wrong match.
The group had tickets for the league game between the two sides that had been scheduled to take place on 12 February, but was cancelled because of poor weather. Four of the supporters managed to get new tickets, but two had to watch the game from a local curry house

Nice to see four of them managed to join the 34 who actually had proper tickets then. I am surprised it wasnt picked up in conversation on the 40 seater coach that took them all down there.

Money, money, money, must be funny in the FAs world. Wonder what this cost the glory buyers? Stoke's chief executive, Tony Scholes, has accused the Football Association of double-standards after their midfielder Charlie Adam's three-game ban for stamping was upheld. The Scotland international was found guilty of violent conduct after his tangle with Arsenal's Olivier Giroud during Stoke's 1-0 win at the Britannia Stadium was missed by the referee Mike Jones but picked up by television footage. Stoke contested the FA's decision to charge the player but an independent panel upheld the charge against the 28-year-old. Adam will miss league matches against Norwich, West Ham and Aston Villa. "I am extremely disappointed for the effect that this is going to have on Charlie and on the football club," Scholes said. "However, I am not surprised because clubs like ours very rarely succeed in appeals to the FA. We put together a strong defence which was based upon the facts, which were that Charlie needed to plant his foot, and in changing direction his eyes followed the ball at all times. "How can anybody other than Charlie say what intent was there? How can the FA possibly justify this decision in the light of recent incidents which were far worse at other clubs which have gone unpunished?" he claimed. Last month Manchester City's Yaya Touré escaped being punished after appearing to aim a kick at Norwich's Ricky van Wolfswinkel, leading the Chelsea manager, José Mourinho, to state: "The message is clear – the players can do what they want if the referee doesn't see."
