Neil as a fellow gooner and season ticket holder for many years I used to like Clichy but too many times in too many games he made catastrophic mistakes that were so memorable in the fact they were in critical games that in my opinion went a long way to losing us titles. He's end product is poor and he flatters to decieve I for one was pleased with 8 Million but gutted that Gibbs appears to have such a fragile body. He reminds me of RVP, he's slim and gangly and prone to tweakin/ pulling everything. Let's hope he can get fit and get a long run in the team. Santos will have to do for now though and he aint bad going forward.

Dakey I to agree with Neil to write your mob off in November would be very stupid but facts is facts and currently this UTD team is scrapping and grinding results out. After what happened at OT last week I think thats all you gotta do mate. Winning is winning even if its ugly and time will tell whether the defence will be able to cope against the better sides. Evans doesnt look up to it and Evra.....whats happened??? Everton could of got a point easily on saturday.
Hope Arsenal won't regret dropping points last night dont want Barca again in the first knock out stage.

As you are brand new to this level of football, let me try and educate you a little, oh and by the way we were not as laboured as you were at home to Villareal with a winner in the 4th minute of injury time!
The Group stages of the CL are nothing more than a cash cow, as you have to finish bottom of a 4 team group to not qualify for Euro football knock out stages after Xmas, so I for one find it very difficult to get motivated at this stage and I would imagine so do most players with the top teams. unless of course you are in danger of not qualifying like City. The beauty of this format though, is that yes it is tedious at the moment but come the last 16 all the flotsam has been jettisoned and we are left with arguably the 16 best teams in Europe fighting it out, which was definately not the case under the old format where you had only about 4 good teams in the whole competition and Champions from every tin pot league involved.
Your next game, Tony is absolutely crucial for you. If you win you are through, but if you happen to lose and away in Italy is never easy, you will be going into the last match with you behind Napoli and them playing Villareal and you playing Bayern. Now that is a nightmare scenario in anyones estimation. Interesting to say the least.
Just a little comment to finish on and I know the opposition was not the best, but since the fluke result we have kept 3 clean sheets on the trot, a difficult task in any standard of football.

It wasnt long ago that Taggert wanted just league winners in this comp until that is Man Ure finished second in 94,97, 2005 and 3rd in 01,03 and 04!!! Then it was ok for non league winners to enter the comp wasnt it Flakey??

I worship at the alter of the great one and I cant ever remember him advocating that. We just get on and respect whatever rules are in place at the time. I will say though that under the modern format which is infinately harder to win than the previous one, we have won it twice and no one else has won it once. Come on fellas give us a hand will you we cant do it all on our own!
What I will say though is if it was still the old format and we had about 10 goes at it for winning the league, we would not be talking about Liverpools 5 times as we would be on about 9 by now.

Back from Valencia / Villareal with team lovely couple of days. Had a box on the halfway line with Lakey, Bert Trautmann and his family, 2 of Roberto's best mates from Genoa and our President Tudor Thomas. Excellent performance, and I'm off to Condado in the morning. I'll watch the QPR game in Condado.

Agent Brown has still got to still be on UTD's payroll.....what a header!! They're still winning ugly but Bendtner should have scored but then he's one them players that should always score but never does often enough.
Chelski very fortunate indeed that could easily have been a draw.
Level with sp*rs and liverpool and now we're a different proposition. The Verminator is not only back but scoring too!!  Norwich Fulham and Wigan next three games and whislt not easy games hopefully there'll be a few more points there for us too.
Just booked 2 tickets for the Citeh game in the Carling Cup for a total of £10 each, terrific value and it'll be interesting to see exactly who Arsene fields in that game. Looking forward to see nasri and give him some proper clog!
Wonder what Jol can muster up for sp*rs at the cottage later!!
