Need Blackpool to get somethin tonight for a very good set of weekend results. Off to a very cold Kiev on Wednesday not sure it will suite some of our lads if they can,t wear their snoods, ha ha
Dakey don't fool yourself into thinking you were any worse on sunday. You have played like that ona few away grounds this year but managed to get a lucky result. Your season will include at least 6 defeats. Hopefully Marseille will be one of them.
A big week for all of us. We were soundly second best against Wigan on Saturday and must get better quickly.
Jay, not sure what reults I want for your lot at the moment! Obviously want you to finish above the Trafford lot but if you keep leaving a door open then you never know. If you beat Barcelona it will be a hell of a feat. In the FA cup i'd like to play Dakey,s lot in a semi at Wembley, but we're by no means past Reading.
Enjoy the week boys n girls

George,
When you come to get us are you bringing your own referee again?
Mazlester, are you citydaves lovechild? you mention you love it when us rags get beat, that is typical of you sad bitters, nothing to shout about with your poxy little club so the only pleasure you have got in 36 years is the odd occasion when Utd falter. get a life mate.
On the subject of the sendings off, Carraghers and MAXIS' that you conveniently dont mention were ABH and straight reds, Fabios was a petulant result of the horror challenge he had just received and he still went for the ball but with feet up, definately a yellow not a red because of the provacation beforehand.
Anyway, I am with Fergie and I might not talk to any of you until he says I can, we are pulling up the drawbridge and will repell any raiders to our kingdom.
Cheers, Dakey

Form / Luck / Ref Decisions - All temporary
Class - Permanent
Time will tell. Let's review the trophy count at the end of the season.
(That sounds more confident than I feel by the way !)

Jay,
I dont go along with all the hype about Barca, dont get me wrong they are a fabulous team with great players all over, but people are losing sight of the fact that in the other three games recently against them Arsenal came on strong in the latter stages after being battered for an hour and eventually drew one game and won another. That absolutely scandalous decision by that clown ref denied you the chance of doing it again and as bad as you have played you were actually leading the tie with only about half an hour to go. On the other hand no shots on target and no shots off target! that in itself must make history. In fact I think the ref has come out and said the sending off was because RVP had a shot at goal!
Perversely, if Utd dick you on saturday, which we will and we beat Marseille, which we will, that will make you odds on for the league as we will have an horrendous fixture list while you only have league games to worry about and in those circumstances I can see you just edging us out. So still all to play for.
Cheers, Dakey

The RVP sending off was criminal but the silly bitch slap he did in the first half was the most sissyiss thing Ive ever seen. We will never know what would have happened 11 v 11 in later stages now so no point pondering. Like I said last week is there such a thing as a good referee now days.......I dont believe there is. In one week we've had the most harshest of treatment from referees and I'm sick of talking about it to be honest.
I'm very interested in seeing what sort of performance we give on saturday at OT it will tell me everything I need to know about the heart of this team. If we end up twatting you lot then I will be impressed but if they rollover like I think they might after the last two weeks then I think it will be over for us in the league as well.

Fellas,
It is sad when a once great club sinks into decline, but that is exactly what is happening at Liverpool. We are all used to the sad bitters in Manchester, even now with all their money, being beaten regularly by non clubs in tin pot competitions, then getting all excited in the two games against Utd, but now we see the same at anfield. The players and fans celebrated the win against Utd last week as if they had won the world cup. When you analyise it they have also been slapped eiher side of the game by two average teams and yet all the fans are clamouring for 'King Kenny' to be knighted on the back of the win against Utd. as I say, sad isnt it.
( dave, i bet that was a lovely trip to the sunny ukraine, wasnt it)
Cheers, Dakey

Everyone is moaning about referees but it isnt the referess who are at fault. it is uefa. in the old days we didnt have tv replays of every decison so we were never sure if the ref and linesman made the correct calls. now every decision is intensely scrutinised. thats why tennis, cricket , rugby and others have introduced technology. but uefa bury their heads in the sand and refuse to accept it even though we all know eventually it will come. so stop all your moaning- we all get bad decisons. if you want to moan moan at the mongs at uefa.

George,
It is the Fifa dinosaur Blatter that is the fly in the ointment, Fifa not Eufa are refusing point blank to allow the technology and it wont come in unless they change their stance. It doesnt seem to bother them that these clown refs keep on messing up, the only way to bring it in is to break away from them, just like snooker and darts and let them stew in their own juices while we move forward. Mind you mate it will cost Chelsea the six points you keep getting gifted every year against Utd.

Well Done Nick Dakey and the rest.
Thought we played like the home team but without any real teeth and Utd played like an away team on the break. They looked likely to score whenever they ventured forward and as I predicited unfortunately we're oooot!! Van de sar made some good saves but too many were at him, if we had taken the chances it might of been a different story but hey ho!!
Have Arsenal still got anything left.........I doubt it.
What a fortnight.
Oh yeah how did scholes stay on the pitch. All them refs love UTD
Im goooona get pissed

Jay,
After a couple of defeats in important games theres nothing like fielding a reserve team against Arsenal or City just to get things back on track. I think the game is up for you mate this year, if you cant beat that starting line up Fergie put out then you will never beat us!
George, I dont know what game you were watching the other week, not the same one as me. If Ruiz had gone then you would not have been pushing for a winner you would have been penned in your box trying to hold the 1-1 and the passage of play for the supposed penalty would not have occured. no point in discussing it further, lets just hope there is no controversy next time at O/T and let the best team wins on merit.... just like the community shield.
Come on Reading
Cheers, Dakey

Dakey Me and you both know old bag puss was being more canny than that. He picked his 7 defenders out of respect and fear and to be fair he got it right! Reserves or no reserves he picked a very defensive team and to a fashion; it served a purpose. I think who ever goes on to win the premiership mate, neither team are much cop. Utd are as poor a side as I seen in 10 years and we are marginally worse. Shame but that's how I see it. Jay

Jay,
Thats an interesting take on it, to respect and fear someone I think you would then play your strongest possible eleven, like Wenger did. not play 7 reserves and then bring on someone at half time who has not played all season to give him some game time before the big Champions league clash on tuesday. No, I just think he was tactically brilliant. He started with a weak team planning to be still in it after an hour then introduce some class like giggs and scholes to go on and win the game and at the same time save something in the tank for tuesday. by and large that is exactly what happened. Even if we are not as easy on the eye as previous Utd teams, this team equalled our club record of 29 games unbeaten and are still going for the treble, so to class us as being as bad as your eternal chokers is a bit of sour grapes if you dont mind me saying so.
Cheers, Dakey

Oh deary me Dave,
Coming back from Wembley on the back of a beating is a lot worse than coming back from the Ukraine with your euro tin pot losers cup dream in tatters.
Mancini has stated that City will be on the same level as us next season, I am a bit confused, I have just read an article that states since 2006, yes 2006, that Citys' net spend on players is 452 million pounds, Chelseas is 399 million pounds, Spurs and Liverpool is in excess of 230 million pounds, while Utds is a moderate 164 million pounds, does he mean that he is going to drastically reduce his spending to our level? At least Chelseas outlay has seen them win some big trophies, how much longer do we have to wait for your silverware? I mean the FA are trying to give it you, 2 games to beat notts county, 2 games to beat leicester city and a mighty struggle to beat reading at home! you have had some massive games to get this far havent you mate.
By the way, Arsenals spending was 86 million which was similar to the previous 5 years at Highbury. Why did they bother moving? I thought that the extra revenue was so they could compete, its no good if the manager stubbornly refuses to improve his squad and leaves the money in the bank is it. Although I notice now that he is at least playing full strength [allowing for injuries] teams in the so called lesser cups, so he is losing his principles slowly but to no avail as he gets more desperate for a trophy.
Cheers, Dakey

I don't think its appropriate to make jokes after this tragedy. I know its hard to feel sorry or sympathy becaue they're foreigners, but we have to remember they lost everything in almost an instant. They've been left with nothing...! Still there's always next season for Arsenal !

Nice one BB
Dave,
I have heard that Man City supporters club have had a request to take flares into the match turned down by the Wembley authorities on the grounds that they are dangerous. The chairman of the supporters club commented, "that is a ludicrous decision, we all wore flares last time we were here and there was no problem whatsoever......"

Dave,
Rangers and City out of the Euro tin pot losers cup and not even at the quarter final stage, rangers have an excuse, they are skint. now you are really getting value for your 452 million quid spent on players. I cant carry on with this post, I am shaking uncontrolably with laughter, I will have to go for a lie down.
