I've been thinking and it occurs to me that Ashley Young is nothing short of the biggest cheat in the history of the premiership. His antics have been condoned and supported by utd's fans and MANAGERS. Because of what he did on Saturday utd ended up winning through cheating. Is this what they have to resort to now days. I think that's a MASSIVE YES!! Jay Ps chelski's worst start under the ambrovich era .......Jose the 2nd coming your having a laugh !!!!! We are!!

I think you will find Jay, that Young gets more than his fair share of Jeers from the fans, Moyesy wont be a soft touch like Fergie, he either tows the line and cuts it out or he will be history. He will have enough on his plate keeping Nani Zaha and the young belgian genius at arms length so it may not be a problem for much longer. He can then drop down the ladder to another team... maybe Arsenal.

That diver would need a set of grappling hooks to get up to our level right now mate. We simply wouldn't be interested in dross like him in our team. You crack on son. Jay

I didn't watch the game in the Clover, but hubby did (probably the only Palace fan there!) and agrees that was no way a penalty, but that you couldn't fault Rooney's goal, and thought Palace didn't disgrace themselves. We all watched the game the previous week and it was great watching Palace beat Sunderland!

Jay,
I think you are getting confused mate, Young was booked for a dive trying to win a pen and correctly so, I think everyone concurs that the sending off tackle was a foul and it did deny a goalscoring opportunity so it was a sending off. The unfortunate thing about the incident was that it started outside the box. That was a mistake by the officials and even you cannot blame that on Young. So down to 10 men they were, but cheated? no. I think the definition of cheated happened at Sunderland. Ok the ref can say he blew early and he wont be the first to do that, but it is then cast iron that a goalscoring opportunity was prevented as the boy went on to score!! there can be no debate about it being a sending off the proof was there for all to see. Now that is what I call cheated..

Tone had been set and influenced the refs decision who was about 30 yds off the play. It was not even a clear foul more a coming together and definitely out the box so the whole thing stinks including the result.

Jay,
Is your last post refering to Utds game or Arsenals?
Interesting interview with Michael Laudrup last night when asked if Liverpool had a chance of winning the thing, he responded " They will definately challenge Arsenal and Spurs for 4th place". Now, among all the early season euphoria that is the most sensible comment I have yet heard. Well done that man, spot on!

We're mediocre, the worst Utd team ever (even worse than last season), we've got a dinosaur in charge, etc, etc. I wonder how many trophies we'll win this season? All comments made by jealous fans who wish their club could even aspire to our greatness.
Interesting to see Arsene says he may have to go (well consider his future, same thing) if Arsenal don't win anything this year. Looks like you're getting a new manager next season Jay and Neil!

What ever happens we're in better shape now in 2013 with the best stadium in the land and the largest self generated match day revenue in the world to power us on in to the future. If it means that AW needs to move on in the future then so be it but what he has achieved with our club in terms of club development both in building/facillities terms and standing within the global game is nothing short of amazing from where we were in 97.
Well done Arsene we might have been through a lean period to facillitate what's been achieved but we're loyal and long standing fans who remember who we are, where we came from and what it means to be proper fans without showing the arrogance and contempt that newly financed upstarts and seroiusly underchallenged winners bandy about in abundance.
It would be so good for football if we can emerge from this major period stemming back to 2006 and really show that we are here to compete on equal terms and within the FFP guidelines. We're set for it are you??

Jay,
Self generated income, yes, but I also read today that Arsenal were the most expensive team to watch by a country mile. So thats a good model then eh? Shaft your hard working fans to the hilt to exploit the loyalty shown, brilliant.

We live in the best city in the world and there's a premium for that my friend. I have said many times Dakey that the ticket price of 985 for the season is a lump but we get 27 games a year for that and that works out at just under 36.50 a game which is affordable. I heard you spend that much on ale and pies in your arm chair at the pub every visit so its on par!! ;) See Rip bailed you out again tonight!

Jay,
The article I read stated of the 10 levels of ticket prices Arsenal were top in 7 with the highest priced single ticket of £126 being by far the highest. Whichever way you look at it mate that is a rip off for a non trophy winning club, London, by the way is legendary only in the eyes of the people who live there and most of them are not English these days, if you like east european vagrants living rough on your street I suppose it is the place to be.

Dakey As a person who not only has never been to ashburton grove net alone set foot in our capital city any time in recent decades. Your not fit to comment. You stay up there in your hovel or mill or whatever it is you live in up there and eat your hovis mate. Lets not get into a north/ south ruck. Immigration/migrants is nationwide issue but let's not get into that particular hot one either. Bottom line is we take more money than anyone else per match day and if we have more money down here to spend on watching football matches that's just tough titty pal. Like anything else in life something is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. Whether you agree with that is absolutely irrelevant like most of your opinions. It's called market forces. People are free to make up there own minds what they think is value. Jay

Jay,
This is a football thread, I dont really want to get into a debate about why our English capital city is the only one in the World where the indiginous people are in a minority! and tourists roll up to our historocal monuments and places to be confronted by tent cities of vagant immigrants. you may think that is great, the vast majority of English people dont! Our Glorious capital has become the skip of the world where everyone dumps their crap on us and thats a fact. Being a football thread, i would much rather talk about how our capital cities football teams are third world standard.

Come on down mate like I have offered before I will be your own personal tour guide.
I guarantee you'll see no such thing in the heart of our world leading capital city.
However we won't be visiting the Tottenham area!!
but you better bring a couple of bags of sand!!!

Jay,
Have you noticed that I have turned my attention back to trying to wind you up about the Gunners and away from the bitters and Chelsea? That is because I fluctuate depending on the threat level to my team and I am a bit worried that you might actually be getting more things right than wrong these days. However, I would much rather be having serious banter with you than Chaddy and George as that shows that their immorally funded star is definately on the wane and they are not worth the effort with the balance of power being restored to Arsenal and possibly Liverpool as the widely accepted main challangers.
PS, on the occasions when I have frequented London at both Wembley, West End theatre shows and the earls court ideal homes exhibition, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself (once I have managed to wade through the beggars and riff raff)
