Dave,
I was a little bit miffed with our defence before but I am coming round now and seeking the positives, yes we could have been 8 points clear if we had beaten Wigan, but not so long ago we were 11 points behind and it was all over bar the shouting. The plain fact is that although both teams have had good and not so good spells 35 games have been played and we have 3 points more than you, so as a glass half full person I will settle for that and look forward to next week with renewed confidence in my team. We have already won at the Etihad this year and a draw will do us nicely, it is City that still need the win. Whichever standpoint you come from its a must see event.
Oh and dont be silly Dave, you know full well that Yvonne hasnt a clue where the kitchen is never mind baking. the only cooked meal she has ever made me was a pot noodle!

Ha ha I knew that was the answer to the cooking question 11 points behind???? The most we've been ahead has been 5 all season. We have probably played like we've been 11 points better but you stuffy sods keep holding on ( with many a refs decision in tow) If you lose this 8 pointer it will be talked of longer than the titanic. Films will be made about it!!!

Dave,
We were 11 points behind with two games in hand, so you are correct the true gap was 5 points, but the games had to be won.
As far as blowing the lead, I am afraid I cant bring myself to contemplate that scenario, I have blanked it out and have convinced myself that a couple of months ago how happy I would have been with a 3 point lead going to the Etihad.

Jay,
I think on the whole the PFA have got the main award right RVP deserved it as much as anyone else..... however, any organisation that voted Kyle Walker as the young player of the year with the players he had against him in that category must have their credibility severely questioned!

Just back from egypt and what a week of footy. barca beaten twice in a week and tomorrows game could end their season. But it wont end ours whatever happens as we have the fa cup final ( and what a great semi final) still to come did feel a little sorry for spurs- 4-1 would have been a fairer result. Need man city to beat newcastle as well to guarantee us 4th if we beat them at home..!
As for the premiership looks like it will be one by default. No one is good enough this year and i have never seen such poor quality. Man u have been so bad they had to bring the retired little ginger fouler out of retirement to try and win it back-lol

Have to say, United were a post away from mainting 5 point lead, had they gone 5-2, could not see Everton getting back into it, but they did, and now it is going to be a tremendous climax to the title
No doubt, United still in the box seat, as we need to beat them to stand any chance, and have a very tough game at Newcastle, plus QPR won't be pushovers if they are fighting relegation. Having said that, we are some way back to the form we showed in the first half of the season, with the exception being, we have to be more clinical in front of goal, how the hell we only scored 2 goals at Wolves, with the chances we had, beggars belief. If we can play and score to the potential we have, and United defence plays like they did against Everton, the title will be ours...but, it is a big if. Whatever, it's going to be exciting stuff!

George,
You are worse then me mate, you ramble on about how good Chelsea are and how they could knock Barca out and also win the FA cup and then at the same time question the quality of the Premiership completely forgetting that you play in the same league and are currently only managing 6th place in such a crap competition. All the teams at the top have produced brilliant football this year, but they have also produced spells of mind numbing mediocrity all highlighted by Utd yesterday. 4 brilliant goals coupled with schoolboy defending. This year the quality is there but the consistancy is missing. Still, with everything in the melting pot at both ends of the table as well as the cups it will be a breathtaking end to the season. It is then up to everyone to take stock and improve next year to a level that gets us all competitive in Europe again.

You mentioned last wekk that the 6th best club in england beat the supposedly best team in the world and then spouted that proved the uk had a a better league than la liga
Surely you cant have forgotten how the 7th best team in la liga absolutely trounced the uk league leaders home and away.
Got laugh at that one mate!

Jay mate you must have been very disappointed you didnt beat our ressies ( 8 changes from barca game)
We beat them fair and square at sb. They lost at home to real madrid ,so yes we can get a draw which is all we need. They have to score twice!
But it will take an awful lot of luck as we arent of their quality but you must remember how many poor teams have won the cl in recent years incl porto and liverpool.

George,
Congratulations mate, you must be delighted. I am not going to be churlish and quote chances missed etc etc I am just going to say that the second half performance by your team was one of the most stirring backs to the wall efforts I have ever seen and I was nearly cheering them on myself near the end there! One thing I will say though is that your beloved skipper should be marched out at dawn and shot, what the hell was he thinking about?

Well I never!! I done a tenner on Barca 4-0 @ 12/1 and got very excited at 2-0 with JT off and then your mob pull off one of the greatest defensive performances I've ever witnessed with no proper centre backs in sight so well done. That really was epic!
However must echo Dakey's point JT is a tw*t and for him to come out immediately with all that BS was pathetic and almost makes him look like he could be a little bit of a liar. (allegedly!!)
Cheers
Jay

Cheers fellas
AS you can imagine i am absolutley over the moon.
Yes barca are brilliant but i really thought they ran out of ideas . How many teams have been 2-0 down and reduced to 10 men in the Nou Camp to barca and got a result. Im betting heavily we are the first. Great defensive display .
Small fact - we have played barca 8 times in last 6 years and messi has never scored!
Jt was a tw'@t i agree and he will be the most affected as he cant play in the final so thats punishment enough.
For me drogba was man of the match. He worked his socks off and that run from the right back spot to the half way line and that tremendous shot was amazing
Shame about ramires yellow as he misses the final as does miereles as they were both immense.
The 2 yellow card rule is crazy,
For me it has to be Real and Jose in the final but one advantage of playing the germans on their home turf is that every sun reader will be a chelsea fan for the day-lol!

Fellas thinking about it I like Chelsea's game plan, They may ave been a man down, but none of the Barcelona players were able to concentrate, worrying if it's their wife John Terry is shagging while they were playing..... ;) Jay
