Dave,
Congratulations mate, I wont be as scathing as Kev, but I do have a few observations. Unless you overtake the Gunners in the last two games and I admit it is now a possibility, you have not yet made it to the champions league. Your 460 million outlay over 5 years has earned you the right to play a pre qualifier against some obscure east eoropean club to see if you can enter the CL proper. Those qualifiers are never as straightforward as they seem. What I will also add is that in the biggest game for you in 30 years the gate of 47,000 was some way below capacity although a bit better than your recent average of 44,000 and infinately better than your FA Cup and Europa league gates of below 30,000.
People are saying you are going to strengthen with eye catching players, but to pay those players and work within earned income your season ticket prices would be about 10 grand per game and only Arsenal charge those rates. You cant fill the stadium at the most exciting time in your history with all sorts of deals on season tickets as an enticement, but I am being churlish and now is the time to just offer my congratulations and wish you well in the final at the weekend........ before I settle down firmly behind the potters.
Cheers, Dakey

Dave,
As soon as I turned on the TV they were doing a spot on City on Sky sports news and the point was made that as it is the first time in for City your coefficient is zero so you are adversely seeded and will go into the draw with some decent teams. The last time it happened was to Everton who pulled out Villareal and were duly knocked out as Villareal reached the Semi-Final. So I think it would be wise to accept that Stoke are going to beat you and concentrate on scraping above the hapless gunners and let them suffer the indignity of a qualifier.
Cheers, Dakey

Dakey & Dakey's less intelligent little brother
I thought your nickname for US was supposedly Bitters????
Dakey, for the very last time in the history of this forum you're going to put me through the same wringer about attendances. I have covered this on at least 4 seperate occasions and yes you swine, it does make me bite.
Our record attendance at our stadium is 47,392.............We cannot get any more in..........the doors are closed and fans are like sardines. Probably in the future we may lift either one or both roofs in the North and South stand. That's in the future. Last night Spurs diodn't sell the full allocation.
3 more wins would be good and look forward to Messi's last game at Barca being a hat trick one. The whole of Condado, bar 3 or 4 houses, supporting our Spanish wonder side

Dave,
Why do you get upset when I point out your gates? you have been averaging 44,000 for the last 6 weeks and you did get 27,000 in the FA Cup and 30,000 on your exit from the Europa league. were they all through opponents not selling their allocation?
To change the topic slightly, I have just seen the odds for next seasons League and CL, with City at 4-1 for the league and 10-1 for the CL. To all you City fans who perhaps are not sure what betting odds are, let me try and help you. If you put a tenner on City to win the league at 4-1 and another tenner on City to win the CL at 10-1, at the end of the season you will have lost 20 quid. There, thats simple enough isnt it.
Cheers, Dakey

George,
I know what you wish is going to happen to us, but I have a sneaky feeling that you are all resigned to the inevitable Man Utd victory, I know that I am!

Dakey Bro,
I'm in a really positive mood tonight and I don't know why.
Stoke to win Saturday, Utd to win the PL Saturday, Utd to beat our mates the Spaniards for the CL, Chelski's ageing stars going down the pan, looking forward to the hilarious entertainment City will prvide in the CL next year and the Gooners always pleasing to the eye but winning nothing.
I hope this lasts.

Kev,
With my crystal ball I can already predict number 20 for us next year, but I think below us there will be a sea change, I can see an almighty battle for runners up between the bitters and a resurgent Liverpool and to be honest, its about time we got a bit of help from fellow north west clubs against our referee favoured southern friends, It will then be a sort of mini league between the southern softies Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal for the 4th qualifying spot but dont be surprised if with the benefit of a good start that Everton dont nip in there and pinch it for a clean sweep of the top four places by north west clubs.
That is for then, before that we have unfinished business this season to contend with.
Cheers, Dakey

Dave,
Congratulations, the banner will have to start again at zero next year. There has been some talk of the FA cup losing its standing because league games are now played on the same day and I think that is wrong, It should be the final glamour game of the season.
There is something jinxed about City though, 1968 is remembered for Utd being the first english club to win the european cup, no one outside City circles remembers that City actually won the league that year. Now, in 2011 it will be remembered for Utd winning a record 19th title overtaking Liverpool and not for City winning the FA Cup. Next time you win something try and do it when Utd have a rare off year, so you will take some well earned credit.
Never the less, enjoy the moment, god knows you have waited long enough for it.
Cheers, Dakey

George,
Even though I have a natural pathological dislike for everything light blue, I am genuinely delighted for my blue friends, especially Dave who has endured my ramblings for what seems like a lifetime now and generally took it all in good humour whilst bending the facts in an attempt to defend his beloved club. For our part we have to face reality and accept that going forward that they are a very credible and dangerous opponent and will have to be respected and dealt with, just like we have dealt with Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenals formidable challenges.
Dave , now you have arrived on the top table you will have to get used to the rules, starting with the community shield. If you win it, it is a valuable early trophy, if you lose it is just a pre season friendly! Welcome mate, Welcome

Dave,
When you come back down to earth I would be interested in your opinion of why there were only 88,368 people in a 90,000 seater stadium. Dont answer, I know already..... Stoke did not sell their allocation!
I read yesterday that City gave a free ticket to all their nearly 300 paid staff, on the face of it that is commendable, but on the other hand if those tickets had to come out of the official allocation then that means that a lot of season ticket holders would have had to pay black market prices in deference to paid employees. I would be interested in your explanation of that little situation. Take your time mate, sober up first.
Dakey
