Well, I could write about 6 pages eulogising about that performance and especialy bearing in mind that the team we just mullered are giving the best team on the planet a good run for their money in the bundesliga, but all I will say is that has to be among the best ever away performances in Europe by an English team EVER!
Jay, who would have thought that in 1999 when Giggsy at the tender age of 26 scored that amazing goal in the FA cup semi against your mugs that we would see him produce an absolute masterclass at the very top level in the CL FOURTEEN years later! We will never ever see the likes of him again, a one off freak of nature, brilliant! That muppet Souness in his pre game comments said he would get overrun and wouldnt have the energy, that comment can go down in the annals of silly football comments alongside Hansons "you will never win anything with kids"

No need to say anything Dakey. The performance spoke for itself. Looking forward to the draw now. The Bitters will be relieved that they will be kept away from us in the next round avoiding a humiliating exit!

Kev,
Watching the goals again, why is Rooney not credited with the goal for his marvelous cross/shot. The dubious goals panels take goals off people if the initial attempt is missing the target and a defender gets a touch that directs it into the net. Rooneys effort was on target and would have crept in the far post, the defender got a nick trying to head clear but as the ball was going in anyway it has to be Rooneys goal hasnt it? I will be surprised if he doesnt claim it once he has watched it.

George,
Is that the same hopeless Dortmond who beat Arsenal at the Emirates and have just beaten Napoli? and by the way are below Levekusen in the league. I dont think a team that has just been slammed home and away by the mighty Basle can presume to call any teams not very good and no we have not just won one game it is 11 games unbeaten and counting!

Ummm.......quite a few draws in there with some flakey last minute equalisers let in.
I think Leverkusen looked shite last night to be honest so either you caught them on a bad night or the German league is a bit wonky like most of your posts Dakey!!

Jay,
Its quite laughable really, when you look through ABU eyes. You beat Dortmund away and somewhat fortunately I may add and its footballing eutopia with the mighty gunners going into the backyard of one of the top teams in the best league in the world and winning......fast forward, we go to the same league and play the team who finished 3rd last year and are currently higher than the lot you beat, with a better home record and had scored in every game this year and all of a sudden the best CL away result by any English team EVER is then ridiculed as a German 'off night' or the league is not very good.... Have you heard yourself? You really do make yourself appear very silly sometimes mate. Any more of that and I will be rooting for a Napoli 3-0 win!

Next time I'll use a different wonky bait and lure the flakeydakeyarmchair merchant yet again. Even you have to admit that German side last night would of got done by accrington!! Still you revel in your rare but little glories of late and we'll beat both Bayern and Dortmund away within 6 months!! We all know what results were the stand out ones don't we. Still like I keep saying there is only now and now we prepare for Cardiff. You might just save avb's job ;) Jay

I will say it again as you cant seem to grasp it, that German side last night are giving Bayern a run for their money and have basically walloped alcomers this season....apart from us. They were unlucky in that the Moysiahs settling in period is well behind us and they copped us in a rich vein of form. That is what is happening in the real world now.

The only true thing that we all know will happen every day is that dakey will tell us what he thnks is happening in dakeys world and he wont take his red blinkers off for anybody else so unfortunately for the rest of us on his website we will have to wake up and listen to his views everyday, a bit like you know the garbage man will come to your area every day in spain.the only difference being that the rubbish is still here for all to read.

George,
The losers cup specialists have added the distinction of losing home and away to Basle, you really are perfecting new and humiliating ways to lose football matches and it is lovely to watch. You are still welcome on my forum as you can be quite entertaining sometimes.....unlike your ultra negative crap team.

dakey you really are amazing, you harp on about how the charity shiled is such a marvellous competition to win but you belittle the UEFA cup , I am guessing this must be because your mob has never won it.funny old world.
i know you love stats dakey and i have just realised why you hate cfc so much. since i and probably you started going to games in 1967 i see cfc have won more times at OT then they have lost
or maybe its just that we beat you 3 times last year including knocking you out of 2 cups!

George,
When Liverpool were dominant in the 80s we were shite, but for some reason we used to beat them on a regular basis we were just a bogey team to them and it meant jack. It is the same with Chelsea and us, you are just a little bogey team now and again. Last year when the league was still up for grabs we beat you comfortably, just like the CL final in 2008. If you want to count a win at the bridge against our reserves last year when your full strength team scored with the last kick of the game to force extra time in the league cup and a league win at the end of the season when we had the cigars out as we had it won already, then those type of wins can boost bland statistics. The fact is we usually win when it matters mate as the silverware shows. Please dont mention the losers cup to me again, we never finish low enough to play in it and I would be embarrassed to be in it frankly.
Dakey
Oh by the way I have said before, to play in the seasons curtain raiser you have to win the league or FA cup the season before so it is a winners trophy. The europa league qualification criteria is that you have to be so bad in your previous league season that you dont even make top 4 so a good 4 places below the criteria for Community shield qualifaication. Or as a back up you can also finish 3rd in your CL group which again is abysmal failure. I think you reached the qualifying criteria for it on both counts if I am not mistaken, so as I said the Community shield is far more prestigious than the losers cup and you are certainly the kings of losing, that is without doubt.

Can't agree with that view Kev
I'd say it was more of a very boring 0-0 with both sets of fans misbehaving and hopefully them having to play all future games behind close doors....please god!!

Jay,
Got to hold my hands up mate, you are making a good fist of it and the way you are going it is going to be a real challenge for anyone to keep up, so well done. It will however make it all the sweeter when we eventually go past you on the run in, although I must admit it will be a bit later than I first envisaged. I know we have the banter but it is nice to see the Arsenal back in with a shout, I am sick of us slapping the little 'punching above their weight bought and paid for garbage teams' down and it is good to rekindle a proper football club rivalry again. Thats why I hope Liverpool can keep it up as well.

Dakey my man, I can't argue with any of that and may the banter continue......there's a long long long way to go yet and I think there's gonna be some twists and turns and with us to play citeh and chelski in the next few weeks it's exciting times for all of us.

Just found a league table that Chelsea are actually top of with the bitters not far behind. It has come out this morning that the figure paid to agents in the last year has been smashed by both clubs with approx FOURTEEN million quid by the special ones Chelsea and ELEVEN million by pelligreedys City. TWENTY FIVE million between them on agents fees! Do you think those agents may have seen them coming? Another example of these poxy little clubs punching above their weight and getting away with it. I doubt that as stand alone clubs without their owners that they made 25 million between them in the last year. Disgraceful state of affairs.
